Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #161…Beach/Under the Sea

Hello there everyone! I'm back here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #161, the theme is Beach/Under the Sea. For those of us in North America, summer is in full swing so it is a great time to make a card that reflects the season.


General Project Info:

• This card has been created 100% digitally and then layered in a Mock Up (courtesy of Frisk Shop). I will print it out and assemble it a later date. 

FRONT

Digital Images Details:

• William Whale can be found in Pattie's Etsy shop. This image was coloured in digitally using digital colouring and then the sky and water were created using other elements. Credits include:
• the sky was created using a watercolour background that I previously created with my Rebelle program. 
• I have applied a water layer style to the water coming out of Will's spout. This style was purchased from Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper.
• the waves were created with elements from the General Elements section of my A Taste of Summer Kit (details below).

• I also added William Whale to the inside of the card.

OVERALL
 Digital Sentiment Details: 

• Both the sentiment on the front and the one on the inside were created by Paulette from Create with TLC. They are from her Wishes & Kisses bundle. Digital Paper Products:

• All three papers used are from sections of my A Taste of Summer kit. The various paper sets are available separately or everything can be purchased in the bundle. It can be purchased in the Scribbles Designs store. You can find it HERE. 
• The background on the front and inside, along with the sand textured paper on the front can be found in the Natural Textures section and the Shell paper can be found with the Patterned Papers.

Digital Embellishment Details:

• The brads on the front were created using the Water Splash from the General Elements section of my A Taste of Summer kit along with a template purchased from Marisa Lerin, Pixel Scrapper.
• I have used basic shapes in Photoshop Elements to create matting in behind the image and sentiment.
• I have applied shadow layer styles to give certain elements some depth. These styles were designed by Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper.

Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #156…Babies, Babies, Babies

Spring is in the air and with that the mind goes to thoughts of birth and rebirth so it is the perfect time to make a card for a baby in your life or in anticipation of one to come!

• The duckie pin and the baby feet (recoloured) are from Raye's Design.
• The frame, along with the word art for 'baby' and also for 'boy', was designed by Melo Vrijhof, Pixel Scrapper.

• The stars paper used as an accent on the left hand side is from the Counting Sheep Digi Papers set by Imagine That Digistamp.
• The yellow paper (recoloured) used as an accent on the bottom is from Melo Vrijhof, Pixel Scrapper.

Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #154…Snowy Days/Nights

Well hello there to all my friends, followers and readers out there in blogland! After a nine month leave of absence from the team, I'm back here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #154, the theme is Snowy Days/Nights. There is certainly enough snow on the ground where I live to provide me with inspiration!

It has been so long since I've done a post like this, let's hope I haven't forgotten how!

Digital Images Details:

• Christmas Mailbox can be found in Pattie's Etsy shop. This image was coloured in digitally using a variety of techniques including layer styles and paper piecing. Credits include:

• Metal patterns used on Mailbox and pole: Pickled-Jester-Inc (Deviant Art)
• Paper piecing on envelope: Cruzine's Designs (through Deal Jumbo)

• I also used the snowflakes from another of Pattie's images, Pattieboop Winter Snowflakes. I just digitally cut them out and then duplicated some of them to create the appearance of snow in the background. They were altered using a layer style from Marisa Lerin, Pixel Scrapper.

Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #144…Lots of Green

Hello to all my friends, followers and readers out there in blogland! I'm here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #144, the theme is Lots of Green. Spring will soon be here and with it, we'll start to see a plateau of greens all around us again as nature starts to bloom. Additionally, with St. Patrick's Day coming up, green will be making another big splash. The great thing is that it doesn't really matter what theme you take your project in, as long as the colour green is prolific, you are good to go!

Card Design: Limited Runs Progressive Challenge ... Jan./Feb

Hey folks! I'm here today to post my card for this month's Progressive Challenge over at Limited Runs!

The Progressive Challenge is actually on Facebook (FB) in the Limited Runs Group and can be found HERE. You will need to join the group in order to access the information. Hello to all my friends and readers out there in blogland! I'm here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #141, the theme is Christmas Glitter. We want to see some RED glitter somewhere in your design! With Christmas fast approaching it is the perfect time to be sprinkling a little glitter around your cards--or in my case, some digital glitter!!!

• The paper used for the background is from my mini kit called Glitterati Set 1.

Digital Embellishment Details:

•  I have used basic shapes in Photoshop Elements to create matting in behind the image and sentiment.
• I have applied shadow layer styles to give certain elements some depth. These styles were designed by Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper.

In addition to all the typical criterion, you MUST USE A DIGITAL OR STAMPED IMAGE to qualify for the drawing (unless stated otherwise). We would absolutely love to see you use a Pattie's Creations (PC) image on your card, but you are allowed to use other images. If you do use a PC image, you will gain an extra entry in the draw and will have a better chance to WIN!  Easy Peasy right?!

Card Design: Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge…November

Hello there! It is time to get my progressive card for the Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge uploaded.

Here are my card and details...

General Info:

• This card has been created 100% digitally and then layered in a Mock Up (courtesy of Frisk Shop). I will print it out and assemble it a later date.

FRONT

Digital Image Details:

• Balancing Holiday Mouse: You can find this image in the store. Details above. 
• This image was coloured with a combo of techniques including digital, layer styles and paper-piecing. Other credits include:
• The fur was created using a texture from My Free Textures
• The ruff and pompom on the hat was altered using a layer style from Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper
• The material of the hat was altered using a layer style from Heather of HG Designs
• The ornament top was altered using a layer style by Scraps Statchoo (site no longer in service)
• The wall and floor was created from an image by Kaz aka Karen Arnold (Pixabay)

 

Digital Embellishments:

• The banner across the middle was created using a brush designed by Heather of HG Designs. 
• The brads are assets from the Christmas in July kit by Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper.
