Couldn't decide on a retired set to use today and this set was sitting on my desk (I am designing a card using this set for a workshop I have on Sunday) and since I am basically lazy I thought I would use it. I wanted to try a Suspension Card today, I got the instruction from another Beate Johns tutorial (follow the link above). What I used: Pick a Petal, Think Happy Thoughts and Stem Sayings stamp sets Whisper White, Regal Rose card stock Pretty in Pink Prints designer paper (level 1 hostess set) Regal Rose and Wild Wasabi classic ink pads 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches double stitched Wild Wasabi grosgrain ribbon sticky strip, dental floss Below is a picture of what the suspended circle looks like when it is twisted.

More new toys. This is just a quick little card. Wanted to try out some more of the new stuff. This set is called Pick a Petal. Do you like it? What I used: Pick a Petal and Hugs & Wishes stamp sets See You Around jumbo wheel and handle Blue Bayou, Purely Pomegranate and Whisper White card stock Blue Bayou and Purely Pomegranate classic ink pads corner rounder What I did: Stamped the flower petals (purely pomegranate) and center (blue bayou) on white card stock and cut them out. Stamped the greeting on white strip of card stock in blue bayou, then layered it on a piece of purely pomegranate. For the scalloped strip I first wheeled it with the See you Around wheel inked in Blue Bayou (I just ran it across the stamp pad) then created the scallop edge using the corner rounder punch with the guard removed. Then assembled the card.
