Emerald Faeries Garden Challenge #18 - Tag It

It's time for a new challenge over at The Emerald Faerie Garden - we're asking you to "Tag It". You can either create a tag or use tags on your project. I've seen some gorgeous CAS cards lately and used them to inspire me with this tag - though I couldn't help sneaking a few flowers on - LOL. I chose the gorgeous Ebony to use - she was the first faerie I ever bought and I STILL love her.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT inspiration on our blog HERE and remember you have 2 weeks to play along.

Copics used - Skintones (R20, R11, E11, E00, E000) plus E44, E43, E40, C3, C2, C1, C0, C00, G24, G21, G20, YG01, V17, V15, V12, V01, V000

Emerald Faerie Garden Challenge #16 - Green and Gold/Yellow

It's been a week of first posts for 2012 here on my blog and here's another one for you - the first challenge for The Emerald Faerie Garden. Since the Faeries are Aussie based and we celebrate Australia Day on January 26th we've gone with a patriotic theme and are asking you to create something using the colours Green and Gold/Yellow.

I used Ally & Beeble for my card and tended more to the green tones - but the flower Ally is sitting on brings in a touch of gold.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT inspiration on our blog HERE and remember you have 2 weeks to play along.

The Emerald Faerie Garden Challenge #15 - Flourishes and Swirls

It's time for a new challenge over at The Emerald Faerie Garden and we're asking you to use Flourishes and Swirls. I popped Emerald Faerie Isabella on to the swirly seat from Make it Crafty's Hidden Forest Seat background digi. I then used some Prima DP with swirls around the edges and added some Magnolia Doohickey leaf swirls too. Isabella's wings, the butterfly's wings and the sentiment are coated with faerie dust to add to the fun and fantasy of my scene.

Just to let you know - we are taking a break and letting the faeries enjoy their Christmas without us bothering them - so you have a whole month to play along this time. We'll be back with a new challenge on January 16th. Until then - have some fun and come along and join in!

Copics used - E44, E43, E42, E41, E40, E18, E15, E13, E11, E00, E000, B0000, YG63, YG61, G28, G24, G21, V09, V04, V01, V000, V0000, R20, R11, YR23, Y19, Y11, Y08, Y00, Y0000

Emerald Faerie Garden Challenge #14 - Non-Traditional Christmas Colours

This week over in The Emerald Garden we are still celebrating Christmas - but this time in non-traditional colours. I've popped little Faerie from Boo and Snooky on top of the presents from Make It Crafty and coloured the presents in gelati colours, leaving the bows a crisp snowy white. The puffs of snow were made using liquid applique which add some fun texture too.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT inspiration on our BLOG and come along and join in the fun!

Copics used - E44, E43, E42, E41, E40, E11, E00, E000, R20, R11, RV66, RV63, RV55, RV10, YG03, YG01, YG000, YR23, Y19, Y11, BG13, BG11, BG10, BG000, T4, T2, T0, W00, C00

Emerald Faerie Garden Challenge #10 - Punches and Dies

This week over at the Emerald Faerie Garden we have a fun new challenge for you - you need to get out your punches and dies - now seriously - how hard is THAT - LOL. If you're anything like me you'll have one or two lying around in your craft room!

I wanted to make sure my dies and punches were the only things used to embellish my card - and let them be the stars along with my gorgeous faeries - these are Kenz and Tilly and you can find them instore HERE.

And if you want some truly amazing inspiration check out what the rest if the EFG gals have done on OUR BLOG - all I can say is WOW!

Punches - Martha Stewart round the page, corner punch
Dies - Nestabilities, MFT small rolled rose, Magnolia swirl

Copics used - E11, E00, E000, R20, R11, E44, E43, E42, E41, E40, B0000, G28, G21, G20, G0000, W00, RV66, RV63, RV55, RV10, V12, V01, V0000 - just a note - I laid the V12, V01 and V0000 over the pinker shades of Tilly's dress after I finished my card and realised the rolled roses were more violet than pink - don't be afraid of playing with your colours!

The Emerald Faerie Garden Challenge #8 - Buttons

It's time for a new challenge over at The Emerald Faerie Garden and this time it's "buttons". I thought it was a cute idea to have one of the faeries sitting on a giant button and chose one of our newest faeries Isabella to use. I made the button with 5 layers of Kraft CS and then punched holes using my crop-o-dile before layering on some crystal effects. I first saw this idea on Dena's blog but it's fabulous fun to make it extra large - LOL. I had meant to stamp over a little pattern before applying the crytsal effects - oopsie - I hope the gorgeous Graphic 45 DP and emebllishments make up for it!

I did use a couple of "real" buttons too - and the sentiment is from The Emerald Fairy Garden ticket sentiments

So grab your buttons and have some fun!

Copics used - skintones (not pictured) R20, R11, E08, E00, E000 and the ciaos in the picture - R00, BG15

Emerald Faerie Garden Challenge #6

My calender tells me it's the first day of August - WHERE has the time gone!!!! I have soo much to catch up on but have been helping out at my old work so the end of the month seems to have caught up with me with nothing to show for it!!!  At least I had made my card for the new challenge over at The Emerald Faerie Garden before I returned to work. Our new challenge is LACE.

I thought it would be cute to use the lace for my gorgeous faeries to sit on and hang off. I love this lace - particularly because my darling hubby went out of his comfort zone and bought it for me on one of his recent business trips. We won't mention the rest of the things he bought me - but at least one was a winner - LOL.

I've used 3 images from the Deb's Creations - home of the Emerald Faeries - Boo and Snooky, Ebony and the fabulous sentiment from the Faerie Wishes Flourishes set.

I hope I've inspired you to pull out a little bit of lace and get crafting!

Emerald Faerie Garden Challenge #4 and sentiment release.

It's an exciting time for us at The Emerald Faerie Garden - firstly we have our new challenge starting - SUGAR & SPICE- ALL THINGS GIRLY

I've used the gorgeous Ebony with lots of sparkle, bling and soft lace to make it all sugary and spicy - LOL. My DP is a digi paper from Bearly Mine Designs. I printed Ebony off after placing her on the background digi DP so that all I needed to do was colour in the white sections - it's fun to pop your digis onto ready printed backgrounds. The sentiment is one of our NEW RELEASES - just punched using a circle punch, coloured a bit and then popped on a larger red circle of CS.

WHAT new sentiments you ask......well here are all the details for you...

The Emerald Faeries Garden is extremely proud to annouce the release of 2 brand spanking NEW SENTIMENT RUBBER STAMP SETS!!!!

These gorgeous sentiment stamps have been designed by 2 of the Emerald Faeries Garden Design Team ladies and they have been specially created to co ordinate with the Emerald Faeries Garden Stamps - FABULOUS! We are so excited to be bringing these special new stamps onto the the world wide web and they are now for sale at The Emerald Faeries Online Store

Emerald Faeries Challenge #1

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MY TICKLED PINK STAMPS PREVIEW CARD

WOW - it's finally here - the very first challenge for The Emerald Faerie Garden and it's an easy one to get you started - ANYTHING GOES. You can check out what the rest of the DT have come up with and the challenge rules at our blog HERE.

I decided to think outside the "card" as it were and do something a little different. I found these fabulous glass tea-light candle holders at my local $2 type store and knew I would find a use for them somewhere down the track.
I've used the gorgeous Kayla and Twinkie - available HERE. I used the digis as I had to re-size them to fit inside the globe and print one in reverse to they would look OK as the globe spun around. I coloured them both up to match and then cut the "front"one out. I then stuck the "back" picture up on a backlit window and used a glue that gives me "moving" time to line the 2 images up. Then I trimmed off the excess on the other side.

I wish you could see this IRL - I have overdosed a bit on the glitter - LOL - it really does sparkle like fairyland as it spins around with the butterflies, wings and flowers all sugared with bling.

Emerald Faeries Mother's Day Release Blog Hop

When I saw the first release of the Emerald Faeries from Deb's Creations I just fell in love with them. And I was sooo excited when Deb asked me to be a GDT for this her 3rd release of these cuties. Deb is excited to release 2 more beautiful Faerie stamps in both Digi & Rubber to the exclusive Collection only available at the Deb's Creations Online Shop HERE.

These 2 gorgeous new stamps are out just in time for Mother's Day here in Australia and how gorgeous would they be on your cards & other projects. The stamps are now available in Digi format & the rubber stamps are up for preorder!

To celebrate the release please join in on our Blog Hop to see all the gorgeous creations from all the Deb's Creations DT Ladies & GDT Ladies, I'm sure you'll enjoy the journey around the world with us. Don't forget to leave a comment & become a follower on each DT & GDT Blog to have a chance to win a gorgeous Emerald Faerie Digi Stamp for yourself - you get to choose which 1 you would like - there's one available on each stop on the hop.

If you have just joined me then pop on over to Julie's blog to start the journey. If you're already hopping you should have arrived here from Deb M's blog.

Now I'd like to show you to what I came up with for "Kayla and Twinkie" - a gorgeous mother and baby image. I used them to make a little welcome baby gift box.

Here you can see the inside all decorated and ready to add in some cute baby gifts - or maybe a special treat for the new mother. I used digital DPs from Bearly Mine Designs. I loved the fact that I could resize them to fit my project without losing the gorgeous lace element around the edges.

My second creation is a card featuring the adorable faerie siblings "Kenz and Tilly". Having a daughter 6 years older than my son this one really appealed to me as I have fond memories of my own kids cuddling up like this when they were younger. Don't tell them I told you this but they still do cuddle up on occasion, they're just a bit bigger - LOL.

Now for your next stop on this magical hop you'll be heading off to Donna's blog. If you get lost along the way here's the complete hop list for you....

JulieTrudiAnitaRondaLouiseNancyDeb M, Debbie P {that's ME}, Donna
And then there's another group of blogs to hop if you want more chance to check out these cuties and more chances to win - the other group are starting over at Natalie's blog.

I hope you've enjoyed this visit to my little part of Emerald Faerieland and enjoy the rest of the hop!

My Last Week as GDT for Sketch Saturday

This is my second post for today - please scroll down for my LaLa Land Post

WOW - what a sad day for me - this is my second good-bye today! This is my last post as a GDT from Sketch Saturday and they have a beauty for me to finish up with. You may have noticed I have twisted it by 90o though to suit my image.

This cutie is one I've had for a few weeks and haven't had a chance to ink up yet - I have tooooo many stamps sitting there in the same boat - time to change that! This is one of the Emerald Faerie Collection from Deb's Creations (nope not me but I wish - LOL) here in Australia - this one is Ebony. I thought she was sweet enough to be paired with DP from Basic Grey's Sugar Rush collection.

I just want to thank the fabulous DT from Sketch Saturday for having me on board this month - it's been a blast and their sketches are always amazing!

And don't forget to enter for a chance to win my blog candy HERE
