Tickled Pink Stamps Preview Day 4 - Lil Futuristic Lolita Christina

Can you believe it's the last day of previews from Tickled Pink Stamps - we hope you've enjoyed this "look into the future" as much as we have enjoyed bringing it to you. This digi release will be INSTORE tomorrow.

Today we are introducing you to the gorgeous Lil Futuristic Lolita Christina. I'm loving this look on her and can't wait to see what the rest of the DT have come up with using her - check their work out on our BLOG and leave a comment for a chance to win her for yourself.

I used a My Time Made Easy cut file from Lauren Meader - but I enlarged it to maximize an A4 sheet. Once again I took the opportunity to play on  my new Cameo - LOVE this machine!

This is the view from inside - it's little box to pop something sweet into but I resisted the temptation to fill it now because I know it wouldn't be full for too long, I have nooo will power - LOL. I'll fill it up when I plan to give it away!

I haven't glued this together in the way it was designed - but that's the fun part of creating something yourself.
Copics used - Skintones (R20, R11, E11, E00, E000) plus E49, E47, E37, E35, E33, E31, YG17, YG05, YG01, YG0000, 100, C6, C4, C2, RV66, RV63, RV55, RV10

Present in a Tea Cup

Today I have a fun little project for you - a teacup to hold a little present in. The template for this is from My Time Made Easy and comes in PDF and various cut files - it's called Grab a Cup and is available HERE. I've cut mine using my craft robo.

I was inspired to make this by the Mad Hatter from Just INKlined (available HERE). I wanted to use him on a tag so I printed him out smaller than I would normally. The tickets on the tag are also from Just INKlined (available HERE). I decided to use the tea-cup template to create a gift to hang my tag onto - and it was a great excuse to play with something new - LOL.

The birthday sentiment and frame is from The Craft's Meow.

I'm also entering this at Altered Alice Challenges where they have a Mad Hatter Tea Party going on...

A Fairytale Gazebo

When I saw one of the previews for Lauren Meader's March release for My Time Made Easy I was blown away by her 3D birdcage (available HERE) - it got my creative juices flowing! I bought the cut file the day it was released and cut out the pieces with my craft robo (silhouette) - and then they sat there!!! I knew what I wanted to do but needed to figure out HOW! I was inspired to create something for this month's Copic Oz Challenge - A Little Magic. I wanted to create a scene INSIDE the cage. I tried to add in a door that would open but the thick bars cut off too much of the view - so I decided to cut off the bars from the front piece entirely - thus creating a gazebo for my fairy scene. I've embossed the base and top bars for some extra interest.

I used Mo Manning's gorgeous fairy Summer Fairy Finna - available HERE. I printed her off twice - once in reverse. This way I could glue them back to back so the rear view would be Ok too. You can see her through the bars at the side in the photo on the left. I have been able to sit her up straight by attaching tabs between the two layers and then making a slit in the DP on the base to slide the tabs through and then I stuck them down.

Now you may be wondering what the little yellow flame shape at the front is - well I've popped a battery operated tealight up through the bottom and created a gazebo night light for a bit of ambience. The tealight base is hidden but easy to access to turn the switch on or off. The photo just doesn't do it justice as the light flickers like a flame and the glitter on Finna's wings shimmer.

This was such a fun project to do - and the birdcage was very easy to put together - especially as I didn't have to cut it out myself - LOL.

Magnolia Down Under #85 - Flower Power

This week over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we are asking you to show us some Flower Power - not much of a challenge for me - LOL. I may have gone a little overboard with the flowers but they are one of my favourite embellishments AND I received a fabulous box in the mail last week from I Am Roses - an awesome place to buy flowers!
The little cherry blossoms I used here were in the box and they inspired me to use Japanese Tilda on this cute box from Lauren Meader's My Time Made Easy range of packaging - this one is called So Fortunate and can be found HERE. The thing I like about these templates is they are already available as cut files so it's easy work using my craft robo.

The DP is from Magnolia - as are the dies I used to cut the dragonfly and tag.

I'm sure this challenge will appeal to lots of people so be sure to grab your Magnolia stamps and flowers and come along and play. Don't forget to check out the inspiration from the rest of the MDUC DT at our blog HERE.

And don't forget to enter for a chance to win my blog candy HERE

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #77 - A Gift For You

WOW I can't believe it - this is our last Magnolia Down Under Challenge for 2010!!! Because of this we are giving you extra time to enter - with our next challenge not starting until January 9th, 2011. This challenge is...

 "A Gift For You"

Now this can be a gift for ANY occasion and isn't limited to being for Christmas - especially as we are heading into the New Year with the challenge. But we are asking for something that is NOT a card!

I used Lauren Meader's "Home Made" template from Papertrey Ink, along with the matching stamp set, to create a little Christmas Gift Box. The finished size is 5 1/2" high by 4 3/4" wide so it's a perfect fit for the mini Tilda's. I popped mine onto a fence I cut using my Magnolia Doohickey die - I bent back a section and drew in some 'hinges" to create a gateway to the front door.

On the back of the roof I added in my tag greeting and some more decoration. This was soooo much fun to make and now all I have to do is fill it with something yummy - but not until just before it's given away or it may not be as full as it should be - LOL.

Don't forget to stop by the MDUC blog for some more AMAZING inspiration from this bunch of talented girls - I'm sooo honoured to have "worked" with each and every one this year - as well as the fabulous guest DTs we've had on board!

I'm entering this over at Magnolia-Licious Challenges where they have this wonderful Christmas scene as an inspiration piece - I hope my little cottage fits the bill!

Fancy Marci Celebrates Christmas

Last week saw the release of 2 new images from La-La land Crafts - this is one of them. This is Fancy Marci and she's all dressed up to celebrate Christmas here. She is such a dream to colour up and looks adorable in many different colour combos - I just love her cute little pose.

My DP is from Basic Grey and I cut the poinsettia flowers using a My Time Made Easy template and my craft robo. I downsized the template so I didn't use all the layers.

Fancy Marci is available for a limited time only as a digi before she comes out in rubber - check her out HERE.

You're a Star

Each year my daughter gives her figure skating coach a gift at Christmas time - usually a box of chocolates. This year she'll be getting some home baked goodies in this gift box I made using one of Lauren Meader's My Time Made Easy Template's. This one is called Star of the Show. These are sooo easy to put together and with Lauren providing the templates in a variety of cut files they are super easy too. I used my Craft Robo to cut out the pieces with more precision and less time than if I had hand cut them! The box is 2" deep so there's plenty of room for some goodies.

As soon as I saw Skater Marci from La-La Land Crafts I knew I would HAVE to have her. With a daughter who figure skates this cutie will be getting a work out I'm sure. Here I've popped her onto the box tag which was cut using my new PTI dies and sentiment stamps. And there's plenty of room on the back for a personal message!

I am sooo loving working with these adorable images - they are sooo easy to colour and soo versatile too!
