line-up: Lydia Lunch (vocals) and Weasel Walter (drums, sound effects)

notes: "Brutal Measures", a longform composition featuring tense spoken word versus manic free drumming outbursts, glued together by cryptic electronics.

Basically one long piece, but I devided it in sections and titled the pieces, just for convenience sake.
"WGW"= Weasel Goes Wild (Ginger Baker style).
One of Lydia's 2 mics was faulty which caused some distortion in the left PA.

Lydia Lunch's Retrovirus - (Le) Poisson Rouge, New York, USA - 23.08.2015 (Flac)

 Thanks to the original uploader.

Original Info File:

taper: inez
source: AT831 (SP-CMC-2) > SP-SPSB-6 > sony PCM-M10 (24/48)
location: dead center ~ 12 ft from the stage (2nd row of tables)
mastering (BLG): Adobe Audition > iZotope Ozone 5
tracking (inez): Audacity

What a treat for a Sunday night! Lydia continues to kick our ass pretty hard!! This was intense and intensely spectacular. She is an incredible performer. I should also mention that Weasel could be a one-man show in his own right, and it amazes me how a person of his size manages to do what he does on a tiny stage without basically smashing the place and people around him into pieces. Also - they were all super-nice after the gig, everyone got whatever they wanted signed and all that jazz.

Now, I am a total noob for the occasion: I have not seen Retrovirus outfit before - AND I never taped at LPR - oddly enough. In fact, I have not experienced their ‘GA seating’ arrangement before, only standing, and the line on their website about ‘being escorted to your seats’ which implied I may have no choice (!) did not sound too encouraging. HOWEVER - when I arrived at doors-time - basically there were only maybe 6-8 people in queue and I had the entire venue of tables to choose from. I noticed that in addition to the usual 2 hanging stacks of speakers, there was one dead center - so I positioned myself in that very center about 10-12 ft from the stage so that this speaker is facing me. A compromise between being close and getting the sound right (I know I know - I just can’t be in the back..). And I think it worked! I have run into oddest sound issues in smaller venues lately - I think LPR sound guys know what the are doing!

Anyway - long story short - a spectacular performance. Buy the record - URGE TO KILL - and go see them live! I definitely will if I see them are coming to NYC again.

Line-up: Lydia Lunch (vocals)

Lydia Lunch - Spoken Word Live 1986 - 1988 (Flac)

Thanks to the original uploader.

Original Info File:

A compilation spoken-word recording made up of extracts from the following
gigs

Brighton Zap Club 30 May 1986
U.L.U. London 19 Nov 1987
Maxwell's Hobuken  25 Feb 1988

Unfortunately, I can't really tell the recordings apart and so I have tracked
the recording at roughly 15 minute intervals at the points when things are
relatively quiet.  And of course I have no idea if the pieces have specific
title or whether they are different each night!

Lineage:  Tape trade, TDK D90, Nakamichi DR-3, Soundforge, WAV, FLAC

Quality - excellent throughout

Tracks - marked with end timing

01   16:52
02   26:10
03   37.08
04   50.02
05   1.01.27
06   1.19.05
07   1.29.10

This is another recording that is perhaps "not for the faint hearted"

Hope you enjoy it!

Lydia Lunch & Exene Cervenka - Cicero's, St. Louis, MO - 17.03.1995 (Flac)

Since my previous post of Lydia/Rollins was very well received, here's another that recently surfaced on Punktorrents, Big THANKS to Jerry A. and phil183 for taping and sharing it there.

DO NOT SELL - FOR TRADING/SHARING ONLY

NOTE: This is a spoken word performance.  It is not the performance that was recorded for the Rude Hieroglyphics release.  That was 3 nights later in Orlando, FL.

Length: 48:15

Some tracks below have named titles when compared to what is on Rude Hieroglyphics, while others seem to be similar before heading in a different direction.  Given this, it seemed best to just track the show into a series of untitled spoken word segments.

Notes:
a) This is the complete spoken word performance.

it's still inconclusive. On the info file there'a a long list of  the tour
wiseblood did with the info that was gathered, if you know more about this
recording, please post a comment.

That being said, it's the best audience video I've seen from wiseblood,
so big thanks to Egg_Crisis for sharing it here

b&w occasionally, caused by the generation but the strobe lighting
probably doesn't help.
