Artery - Band on the Wall, Manchester - 11.10.2010 (Flac)

Excellent sound. Thanks to happytrader for sharing this one.

Original info Text:

Artery, for those of you unfamiliar with them, have been labelled Sheffield's equivalent of Joy Division. They began in 1979 but split up in 1985 after two albums and numerous singles. They are an experimental and critically acclaimed band who influenced an entire generation of Sheffield/British musicians including the young Jarvis Cocker of Pulp fame. It was Cocker who asked them to play at the Meltdown Festival in 2007, so they reformed to much delight in the European music scene. The late John Peel once described them as his favourite band so indeed high praise! This concert is one of the handful of concerts they have played this year. It came as one long FLAC file so the tunes were separated, FLAC'ed to individual tracks and given appropriate FLAC tags. Many thanks to the recordist in Manchester for archiving this show. It is truly great to see Artery in the fray again and with some quite wonderful new tunes. Enjoy!
