winner winner winner . . .

Yay!  The time has finally come to announce a winner of the big giveaway!

And the little one, too -- whoops!  I had a book to give away last week and forgot to post a winner on that one.  The winner of Fearless Daughters of the Bible:  What You Can Learn from 22 Women Who Challenged Tradition, Fought Injustice and Dared to Lead, by J. Lee Grady, was:
Congratulations, Andee!  Sometimes it pays to be the first commenter!

And now, the winner of the Birthday Bash Blog Hop Giveaway was:
Congratulations, Gaila, and thank you for being a new follower!

Both winners have been contacted and prizes will be sent out as soon as I hear back from them!

Look for another giveaway on January 1 ... *if* I make 1000 posts!!

delayed by design . . .

Or something like that.  It's been a crazy day!  Todd and I were out the door early, to get the van I used for my Nashville trip back to the Association.  From there we made all sorts of stops.  One of mine involved (finally) fabric!!
Hobby Lobby had *all* of their Christmas fabric on sale for 50% off.  Nice!  I'll be using a fat quarter of the ornament print (far right) to wrap an ornament for tomorrow night's Stitcher's Christmas party.  Yay!

While I was there, I also picked up some more felt for poinsettias.
I found sparkly pink *and* sparkly green!
And some buttons for those poinsettias, too.

I've got this fabric back out, too . . . time to get down to the nitty-gritty with my Christmas tree napkins.  I'll use some of the fabric in the first photo and then these two combinations.
You get two napkins per fat quarter, so I've got a goodly number of napkin sets I can make!

And . . . in Sunday's Stash Report/Slow Stitching post I showed a sweet little Christmas tree stitchery I'd downloaded from my most recent Sew Beautiful e-newsletter.  In that same newsletter was this cute little fellow, as well:
I'm happy to forward a copy of the newsletter to anyone who would like the patterns.  Both are totally darling, don't you think?

So that's what's theoretically on my design wall.  There are lots of other productive walls to check out over at Judy Laquidara's Patchwork Times!

And, in case you've missed all the hubbub, don't miss out on celebrating Quilting Gallery's 5th birthday!!
You can check out my giveaway post HERE . . . and to *totally* sweeten the deal, I found a package of Dark Chocolate Raspberry M&Ms to add to the prize package!
Mmmmm . . . chocolate!

♫♪ Happy ♪ birthday ♪ to ♪ YOU!!! ♪♫
♪♫ And many more . . . ♫♪

Happy wishes to Michelle as Quilting Gallery celebrates FIVE YEARS!  Whoohoo! And what's a birthday without a party--and PRESENTS?!  (Just ask me -- the queen of making a birthDAY last for *weeks*!)

My offering for this big ol' fête is a rather festive offering including (but NOT limited to) . . .
A fun book of minis ... Motifs, by Jeri Kelly  -- something for every month of the year!
A handmade poinsettia pin --  you can pick the color you want . . .
And for the fun of it, a package of these FUN Christmas glasses!
I picked up a pack a couple of weeks ago, not quite realizing what they were, but thinking Sawyer might enjoy them.  Once I figured it out, I went back and got a couple more packs, including one for this prize package!   They turn lights into spectacular delights!  Check out the plain lights on my mantel here:
Now through the lens of the "snowman" pair of glasses:
Isn't that GREAT?!  There's a snowman, Santa, Rudolph, and snowflake pair!

All you have to do to participate is leave a comment . . . that's it!  It's lovely if you want to be a follower (and let me know if you're a new one, so I can return the favor).  Oh yeah -- and be sure I have a way of contacting you!  I will ship international, so everyone can join in the fun.

The party goes on for a while, so this giveaway will be open until *SATURDAY*, December 15!  Folks, there are over 150 bloggers participating in this hop -- links will be live after midnight tonight -- make sure you head over to Quilting Gallery to check 'em all out!!
