September Swanky Stamper

Linda Nicholson— Swanky Stamper for September

The August TCP Tuesday Challenge was to design a card that fits in a long, tall envie. There were lots of great cards, but this one by Linda Nicholson just had me laughing. It's a motion card using "Fly High" and some of our past stamp sets. She debossed the red planet for craters. What is so great is the bit of Divine Twine she used to anchor the bunnynaut to the rocket ship. Just brilliant!

Here is a closeup of him in motion. Adorable, no? No? Yes!

Here is a second entry that Linda did for this challenge using "Under the Stars". I am in love with the mix of CutUps that she layered at the bottom of the card for a wonderful look.

And speaking of layers, Christine Okken created this rich and fabulous card. I adore her coloring and her choice of beautiful paper. The fishtail banners and the border is just a wonderful play on the theme in "Hare Today"

And Maureen Wong created this delightful pull card using "Oh Chute". This is one that I will definitely be casing.

There is even a place for writing! LOVE!

Tomorrow there will be a NEW TCP Tuesday Challenge. Come back tomorrow and see what it is.

Swanky Stamper for August

The challenge for the Month was to create a project that uses homemade tags. I just adore this soft and pretty card that Joyce created using our Nesting set. She stamped the outlines of the birds on dp and used the branch and leaf stamp from the set. The texture of the tag makes the stamping so elegant.

Congrats, Joyce!

And, there were so many players this month with stand out cards.

Look at this sweet card by Bonnie Raduse. She uses a die cut shape to make her tag. Absolutely, the cutest.

And, then there is this pretty, pretty card by Chris Veneruso. Love the colors of this card and how she cut the banner from existing DP.

Another absolute standout is this card by Katie Brooks. She actually paper pieced the stamped images, including the stars, using a mailorder catalog. Wonderful way to recycle and take advantage of the pretty patterns you can find any where.

Tomorrow, I'll be posting another challenge. Hope you play along with us.

June Swanky Stamper

The TCP Tuesday Challenge for May was all about KISS. That's Keeping It Simple, Silly. But, Simple doesn't mean boring. And boring is definitely not a word that I would use to describe KelliJo Hull. Glitz, glam, fun, innovative. All words that describe KelliJo to a "T". Just like this pretty card that she created for the May challenge. Love that she cut our Lacey Butterfly and placed it back in the paper she cut it from, and added a bit of glitter. Check it out on her blog. Stunning! KelliJo wins a selection of stamps and dies from an upcoming release and gets to play along with the Cat Pack, too!

We had so many great entries, here are a couple that really stood out.

This one, by Diana Genario is just so wonderful. Her mix of bright colors and coloring on kraft is really a stand out.

Bonnie Raduse created a couple of cards for this challenge, so it was hard to choose just one for this post, so I chose the penguins from our "You Sick Thing" set. I love that she stamped the image on the envelope, as well. It's like a double "pick me up"

Tomorrow we present a brand-new challenge and I hope you play along. You could win stamps and dies from our next release! All you have to do is play along!

May Swanky Stamper!

The TCP Tuesday Challenge for April was a Flower Challenge. The challenge was to pull out your flower stamps and dies and make them the focal point of your card. And what could be more floral than hearts and flowers, and "Oui, Oui", sheep that actually "look" like flowers? I truly love this French inspired card that Christine Veneruso created! So playful and pretty and romantic all at the same time.

This card is a stunner and Christine wins a selection of stamps and dies from an upcoming release and gets to play along with the Cat Pack, too!

We had quite a few wonderful cards this month! This one is by Christine Okken. She mixed our Sock Monkey with the bouquet from our Bloom set and tossed in a couple of die-cuts from our Toppers CutUps and Voila! SUPER CUTE CARD.

How about this sweet card from Doni High!? I love the girl bunny from A Girl and her Cake nestled in a pile of flowers. I guess flowers are to Spring as leaves are to Fall. Just adorable!

Tomorrow we present a brand-new challenge and I hope you play along. You could will stamps and dies! All you have to do is play along!

April Swanky Stamper!

The TCP Tuesday Challenge for March was a color challenge. It was basically a Neutrals Challenge. To use White, &/or Cream &/or Craft &/or Black and one color. One patterned paper and 2 layers.  This card really embraced the spirit of the challenge, as well as the letter. It has almost a steampunk look, and the bear looks almost surreal with his patterned paper balloons. LOVE IT!

Stampers put on their thinking caps and came up with some pretty spectacular cards.

Kelli Jo Hull created this wonderfully masculine card using The Mustache Set and our Mustache CutUps and added texture to the mustache. I love the irregular pattern! It really says "hair"! I just keep looking at this card and smiling.

Debbie, aka Indy created this card using Take Off and I love the bold colors! She use only one patterned paper, but it really packs a punch. And the Cherry Divine Twine is a perfect addition.

Cyndi Bundy creates this bright and happy card! I'm loving the play on polka dots. And the way she colored up the bunny from the Wish set.

It was a tough challenge but I'm glad to see the results. Stampers, pat yourself on the back! Well done.

Tomorrow, is another TCP Tuesday Challenge. And, I think you'll like it. Check back tomorrow!

Swanky Stamper of the Month

Suzanne Schmidt — Swanky Stamper for March

When I gave the challenge for TCP Tuesday for February, I had no idea what to expect. The challenge was to pull out your TCP Stamps and CutUps and use them in a new way, or to use them, if you had never used them before. So when I saw this card by Suzanne Schmidt, I was smitten. She used our Easy Rosette CutUps as a tree top and the log from one of our older sets to make the tree trunk. I think it's just adorable. So adorable its makes Suzanne Schmidt, Swanky Stamper of the month.

There were a lot of great entries last month. Like this cutie from KelliJo. She actually used her CutUps dies to emboss this sweet background. LOVE this idea!

Or this awesome card by Linda. She used the Mustache Slide CutUps to make these great chili peppers in the back! TOO Cute!

How about this magical card that Tammy created? She used the Presto stamp to create a sweet Valentine's Day card.

I am so in love with all of these! It was so hard to choose! Thank goodness there is another challenge TOMORROW! Are you ready?

Swanky Stamper for September

Yes. I know it's the middle of the month. And the Swanky Stamper is usually announced towards the beginning of the month.

I've had some requests, though, to push the choosing of the Swanky Stamper forward, to allow for those playing the end of the month challenges more time. I'm still considering that option, so this month, I thought I would try it out. So without any further ado, The Swanky Stamper of the Month is Wendy McGaffey.

Wendy Mcgaffey — Swanky Stamper for September

As a designer, I so appreciate the cleverness of a good design. Perfectly chosen paper. A well placed flower. Strong concept. Great colors. All work together to make a terrific design. Like this card by Wendy Mcgaffey. It has all of the things I mentioned and more. This card has so much going for it, if I were Wendy, I would be keeping it.

We had a lot of really fantastic players in the technique challenges. Like this one by Cindy Major. LOVE her use of patterns and textures. There is a lot going on in this card, but Cindy makes it all work beautifully.

This pretty, scrappy card by Cheryl Lea is another beauty. Delicate coloring. Wonderful textures, just an all-around pretty card, using our Commemorating You set and Stamp Trio CutUps Die

And Emma H. created this elegantly stunning card. White on white with just a pop of color! So sophisticated.

We had so many outstanding cards this past month. It was really hard to choose only one winner. But, congrats, Wendy! Great Job!

Swanky Stamper for August

One of the best things about stamping is that no cards are alike. Even when given the same template to work with, like this Sunglass template that Julie Masse created, each card was different. Like this happy, joyful card that Cyndi Bundy created. Just full of fabulousness. She has it made in the shade. Cyndi is our Swanky Stamper for August

July Swanky Stamper

Noelle McAdams — Swanky Stamper for July

One of the goals for The Cat's Pajamas is to create stamps and dies that are versatile and spark your imagination. Give it a little poke, if you will. I am constantly surprised at what comes out of it.

Take this wonderful card by Noelle McAdams. She used our Window CutUps die to create a nine pane window for this pretty card. Then she creates a delightfully pretty scene for us to view through it using our Cloud Border and Grass CutUps and our Field of Pinwheels Stamp Set. Truly fabulous.

Swanky Stamper of the Month

Chris Veneruso — Swanky Stamper for June

I admit, I'm kind of a simple country gal at heart. I love homemade, homespun things. Handcrafted goodness makes me go weak in the knees. And items that make me smile, make me swoon. And that is just what I did when I saw this sweet card by Chris Veneruso. Delightful paper choices, textures, sewing? What is not to love. And her coloring? There is something about a pink bellied bunny that just does it for me.

April Swanky Stamper

I have to admit, I am not the best cutter. So when I see great cutting, I must reward it. Take the wonderful card by Wendy Mcgaffey. Just a WOW of a card and crazy cutting skills. What is so great about this card is that after all the hard work that Wendy put into it, it can stand on its own for display. Just fab.

March Swanky Stamper

Christine Okken — Swanky Stamper for March

When I first started seeing Christine's creations on her blog, I had no idea what her last name was. I was constantly referring to her as "ChristineCreations", which is the name of her blog. After seeing so many wonderful cards come across my screen, like this wonderfully colored and oh-so pretty card using Sugar, Sugar and so many others, I knew she was definitely a name I would have to learn.

How about this soft and pretty card that she created for the TCP Tuesday Color Challenge using Bunny Side Up? She created the background with the Scor-pal and the Scor-bug. I am definitely going to have to find mine to do this cute technique.

Or this sweet card using Warm Fuzzies? I'm loving the paper piecing that she did on this card. So cute.

October Swanky Stamper

Sometimes a card just speaks to you. It transports you to another time and place and the images are so vivid that you can almost smell the air and feel it swirl around you.

That's what this card by Stephanie Hubert does. It takes me to a crisp Fall day, where the pumpkins are in the field waiting to be picked by a little boy or girl to be "their" pumpkin. It takes me to a country road where the leaves have turned and have fallen. Where the smell of freshly cut things and rain is in the air.

Yup, a great card, can do all these things.

Stephanie Hubert— Swanky Stamper for October

Again, there were a crazy number of cards that made my job of picking Swanky Stamper harder. Take this card by Chris Veneruso. She used the stamps from Hello Pumpkin for this cutie of a card. She used the sketch from TCP Tuesday. I LOVE that she made candy corn from pennants and used them! They just crack me up.

Diana from Missouri, made my heart soar with this pretty fall card. I think her embellie made with our Flower Buttons CutUps, and twine is just the sweetest thing.

Then look at this pretty little card by Bonnie Sharp. I'm loving what she is doing with the snowflakes. They are just crazy cute.

And Kimberly Gajewski's card is pretty sweet, too. Love her color combo and attention to detail. See how she lines up the stripes at the bottom? The gal's got mad skills, I tell you!

Thank you, everyone who played along with our TCP Tuesday challenges. We'll be doing another one on Tuesday, which just happens to be the very first day of our Sneaky Peek Week. ;)

Can't wait until Tuesday for a challenge? Check out Card Positioning Systems for a truly awesome sketch. This week's sketch is sponsored by The Cat's Pajamas. And if you play along, you could win a Shopping Spree from our website. Perfect timing, don't you think?

Or head on over to SplitcoastStampers! They are doing challenges up the you know what, all during the month of October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And there are prizes, and prizes, and prizes. You get the picture.

One More Day!

There are so many people uploading cards today for the challenges. It must be because of National CardMaking day. So in honor of the day, I'm extending the cut off time to be considered for the lauded title of Swanky Stamper. You have until the end of the day to post your cards and be eligible for Swanky Stamper of the Month.

In the meantime, check out Gourmet Rubber Stamps. They have licensed a lot of images from those awesome Gals at Lizzie Anne, AND they are giving you 25% off your order if you enter the code OCT25. It's good until the end of October. CRAZY Good.

But, don't forget to save a little for our NEW Release on Oct 11, 'cause there are some pretty awesome goodies to be had then, I must say.

Swanky Stamper of the Month

Wendy Bond — Swanky Stamper for September

I admit it, I'm kind of a game nerd. I love the bright colors and designs of gameboards, and pieces and cards.

Gameboards, especially, always made me feel like I was going on a trip. I could imagine myself riding the shoe, or in a tiny little car making my way through the board. And don't get me started on the playing pieces. I love the feel of a domino or chess piece or poker chip. Sheesh!

So when this pretty little card by Wendy Bond using Take Off and our Cloud Border, flashed across my screen, I gasped. Yes, gasped. Not only did she play around with different patterns and textures, but she brought to light my little, er....problem. Thanks, Wendy.

Wendy wins a selection of our stamps and dies from our next release and gets to play along with us.

Congrats, Wendy.

The best thing about choosing the Swanky Stamper for the month, is that I get a chance to revisit all the cards that were posted that month. And some of them, posted after the weekly challenge date, I haven't seen before. Here are a couple of cards that really made me smile.

Take this one by Christine Veneruso using Define Good. The gal knows the way to my heart. Lots of patterns and textures and PLAID! I love me some plaid.

Rachel Gaugler posted this delightful card using the Sketch from our TCP Tuesday Sketch Challenge and Kick Some Grass. Love the scalloped panel she uses for "grass."

And this beauty by Nancy Thomas using The Tweetest Things and various CutUps Dies. I just keep staring and staring at it. So whimsical and perfect. Love that little bit of Divine Twine at the bottom. It just finishes it off.

And then, Kimberly Gajewski puts me in the Christmas spirit with this wonderful card using Deep Breath. I can almost feel the chill in the air. LOVES the rhinestone swirly thingy. Really makes me think of skating figures in the ice. Well, not me, but maybe someone like Michele Kwan.

I'm so glad that all these gals played along with us! They are all winners. But the real winner is me. I get to see all the yummy cards using our stamps and dies.

Swanky Stamper of the Month

Nancy Thomas — Swanky Stamper for August

It's been a foggy month here in San Francisco, so when I saw this card by Nancy Thomas, I just perked up. Its bright and cheery colors, along with the patterns and textures and unusual layout is just terrific. Love Nancy's coloring and stitching, too.

There were so many terrific cards, this month that I have to show you a couple that caught my eye this month.

This card by Julee Tilman, uses the same stamp set that Nancy uses, Away We Go, but has a whole different look and feel to it. Julee gives a shabby chic look to her card that I think is absolutely fab.

Here is another one by Nancy Thomas that I adore. I love the mix of DP and her use of embellishments. There is a lot going on in this card, but it doesn't feel forced or busy.

Last month's Swanky Stamper, Maggie Haas created this terrific little number using Kick Some Grass and several of our CutUps. There is such a feeling of whimsy that the stitching and patterns that is just so wonderful.

Nancy Thomas, wins some of our stamps and dies from our next release, just for playing. You could win, too! Tomorrow, I'll be posting a brand new challenge! You can only win if you play.
