Back to Stitching, but....

There was the big last tournament of the tennis season to watch this past week, so I was back to stitching.  I started a new piece.

Lady in Red Spinning Her Wool by GigiR Designs
GAST fibers
This is what the whole piece looks like.

I am, however having problems.  The GAST dye lots seem to have changed drastically since the model was stitched.  It might be time to take a pause on this one, sadly.

ETA:  Thank you, Gigi, for commenting on my blog!  I just wanted to say that I know it's not Gigi's fault about the dye lots.  I love this design so hopefully I will figure out a conversion that I like and continue on at a later time.  I'm just easily discouraged at the moment.  My Lady in Red won't disappear forever!

The Father Type and I have both been doing some cooking recently (not that I don't usually cook!), trying new dishes out.  I cooked this one.

Marrakesh Veggie Curry
And the father type cooked this soup.

Homemade butternut squash soup with grilled cheese & bacon sandwich
And the Father Type once again made some luscious Pecan Sandies -- so good!

Mia has been doing her best to keep warm now that the temperatures are colder.  She's been snuggling up to me a whole lot more.

Thanks as always for stopping by and saying hi.  I hope everyone has a great week!
