Happy Birthday Donna Reed (1921 - 1986)

Happy Birthday to Donna Reed, one of my favorite actresses. She appeared is such classics as It's A Wonderful Life, From Here To Eternity, The Courtship Of Andy Hardy, They Were Expendable and lots more. And of course she was the star in her famous long running comedy series, The Donna Reed Show. Happy Birthday Donna!

TCM: Star of the Month of May: Donna Reed.

Donna Reed, received the 1953 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Lorene, a prostitute, in From Here to Eternity.

Donna Reed, also received the 1963 Golden Globe Award for Best TV Star, for her performance as Donna Stone, a middle class wife and mother, in The Donna Reed Show.



In 1984, she replaced Barbara Bel Geddes as Miss Ellie in Dallas.
