Sunny Days

Good morning all!
Happy Monday to you.
I'm full of the joys today because the sun is shining & I'm not in work all week.
As it's the Edinburgh Festival & Fringe this month,
we've taken some leave to join in the fun!
Anyhoo, as it's Monday, it's time for the new challenge over at
Eureka Stamps where the theme for this week is

The images I have chosen to work with are
I decided if the sun was shining, the colours needed to be bright & cheerful.
I found a piece of paper in my scraps box, (it's from La Pashe), with just
the colours I was looking for!
I found a lovely piece of cardstock to match the pink & took it from there.
The images were coloured using my promarkers
The sentiment was done on my pc in DJB The Cheerleader font.
I cut the fishtails by hand. I used spellbinders dies to cut my ovals & a
Martha Stewart punch for the butterfly.
The little pearls have been kicking about my stash forever!

I had great fun making this card & I love how it turned out.
I did actually intend to colour the pom poms & perhaps add a little glitter
But hey ho, I forgot I've decided she looks fine as she is so she'll stay that way.
I hope you can play along in the challenge
I'd like to add this card to the following challenges:

Seaside Anchor

Good morning all!
How time flies, it's Thursday already!
Time for this weeks Just Inklined card !

I've made a Beachy type card! The image I have used is
a perfect image for a male or perhaps just a beach lover.
So many occasions spring to mind.....
I used a Kraft base with a strip of corrugated card in the same colour.
Some gauze, raffia, fish charms, an anchor charm & a little shell.

I coloured my image with promarkers. The sand was done with a distress
marker. I have only one, in Vintage Linen, but it worked perfectly for the sand!
The sky was Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
I popped up the image on some foam tape.

The usual side view to finish!
Hope you like it! Thanks for hopping by!

A Meringue To Share

Good morning all!
Todays card was commissioned by my dear MIL.
She asked for a birthday card featuring a meringue. Eeek I thought, that's a challenge!
I trawled the internet but I just couldn't find a digi image of a meringue anywhere.
I happened to ask in one of my facebook groups & lo & behold,
I woke up next morning to find that my hero, the awesome, very talented  & truly
lovely Jak Heath had drawn one especially for me!

Isn't it just gorgeous! Looks good enough to eat!
Meringues with Strawberries & Cream just scream summer to me!

I printed out the image 3 times, coloured them all with promarkers,
then cut & layered them up with pinflair glue to give some dimesion.

The papers I have used are from the fabulous
Kitschy Kitchen pad by Melissa Frances

A little look at the inside too!

I love Mo's images, they are just too cute!
My GN was born on a Monday so this image was the obvious choice!

Coloured with a mix of flexmarkers & promarkers.
I kept the colours to yellows & greens as they are colours
which shout sunshine & summer to me!

The sentiment was made on the pc using a free font called

Nikki in The Pink

Hey crafty bloggers!
I just had to share another little card I made.
This is for a dear friend.
She loves pink!
I do hope she likes this!
The image is Birthday Nikki from Ladybug Crafts Ink,
coloured with Promarkes & Flexmarkers.
She's just so adorable, I just love this stamp!
The border punch is from Martha Stewart.
I distressed the edges of the image & the pink spotty paper, which is from a
Papermania, Capsule Collection & inked the edges with a little inkpad!
The sentiment is a See D's Stamp from my stash!
I've had it forever & hardly used them at all so I've dusted
them off & am remedying that!
The pink ribbon & brads were from my stash!
I added a little decoration to the inside to balance the card!

Here she is on an angle

Silly me forgot to add the ribbon between the layers so had to add it after
the card was assembled. To tidy it up, I just added a panel of the papers.
Thanks for coming by!
