Spoon Full of Sugar - Get Well Soon -

Darn scheduling.... this was suppose to come on Tuesday... and it went live Monday afternoon... oh well... enjoy it early....

This week at Spoon Full of Sugar the challenge is to Get Well Soon. And I thought of one stamp I love and haven't inked up in forever.
I totally adore Stampavie's  Helz Cuppleditches, Ruffles Get well Soon image. I would love to find a big soft chair with roses like that! LOL ... I matched up the image with more of my hoarded papers - I decided I have to start using more of my favorite papers or I will have no room for more new favorite papers! So I pulled out my Girls Paperie papers... roses were perfect!

The Ruffles was colored with my Copics - then I cut pieces of paper, and inked the edges. I had a tester die cut from MFT decorative Duo dies - hated to waste a perfect die cut! Some flowers and Martha Stewart Frond punches and I think it is a pretty cute - Get Well Card!

Make sure to visit A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge and see all the Get Well Cards then join us for a chance at a great prize again this week.

Oh and just to report.. The wedding was beautiful, and outside fairy tale wedding. And then on Sunday we went to the movies to see Pirates of the Caribbean - Was a fun time with friends movies and a late lunch. The move was Good... not great, will never touch the original - but we all do love Jack!

Have a wonderful day - see you tomorrow for Me and my Space :0)

Spoon Full of Sugar - Celebrate!!

Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Day - and this week we are here to Celebrate! The theme is to make a card or project to Celebrate. Me I took this to challenge my self for a Man birthday card. I have SUCH a hard time with these cards, and never have these in my stash.

So here is my attempt... really out of my box with this color combo. I went with the colors on this wonderful piece of Scribble Scrabble pattern paper. And this paper went perfect with a scrap of Graphic 45 dotted paper.

I used Stampavie's Helz Cuppleditch images "Ruffles Party". I love this puppy dog... and that bone in the bowl with the bow just is wonderful. I colored with my Copics, and then sewed down everything. As hard as it was I didn't add any embellishments for this man card - well other than cutting out one of the hats and placing it on the dogs head.. LOL

Hope you will join us as Spoon Full of Sugar this week, and Celebrate!

I am off.. gotta work today and lots of chores on my list to get done!

Now to a challenge! Today is the Stampavie Challenge and the challenge this week is to make a gift tag. Now that leave lots of room for what ever you see as a tag. Me.. I went more with a gift card. Sorry no real MoJo this week -

I started with my "tag" part... I knew  I wanted to make a card like tag and so I used one of the new Nesties I think this is Label 11 or maybe 12? I put it through my big shot folded and placed the left side just inside the die to allow it to not cut at the fold. Does that make sense? I used Bazzil Dotted Swiss card stock, love those dots.

For my image I chose Stampavie's Helz Cuppleditch's Ruffle Spring Plaque  - I think it is a really cute image, and was the perfect size for my little card. I cut it out with the same Nestie and then doodled around the edge. Ruffles is colored with my Copics and then I added some rhinestone bling for some sparkle.

Then the inside:
Very simple - I cut a piece of cream colored card stock, doodled the same as the front and then stamped the "For You" Sentiment (by Stamps by Judith) -  I really like how it came out. I may just have to make more of these little cards - was really kind of fun to work with such a small size.

Now you need to see the other Stampavie DT gift tags and then we would love you to play along with us! Great surprise gift again this time.. wink wink... you really want to win one of these :0)

Well.. gotta get going, we are spending the holiday, as we do each year... mowing and cleaning each of the donkey and goat pens. Fun huh? Later today we will BBQ - and have some friends come and help us eat  - Hope you have a wonderful day planned!

A Spoon Full of Sugar - CELEBRATION!!

HI! This week A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge is all about Celebration!!!
For my card I decided we needed to Party with our Celebration at Spoon.. so out came Stampavie's Helz Cuppleditche - Ruffles Party - love this image. I love Ruffles in all of her images, he is such a cute puppy :0)  But that bone with the bow is great!  I colored with my Copics - and then cut out with Nesties labels.
For the card I used white card stock as a base, a dark red mat, and a Bazzill swiss dotted turquoise mat behind three My Minds Eye Glitter Home collection. Love the colors of these papers, and of course that bling glitter! I sewed down the main pattern. The flower is a Sizzix die, cut from scraps of the mats. And the sentiment is also a sizzix die - love that Card Makers set of dies... perfect size, and great sentiments for all cards. I matted the word Congratulations with the red and cut around the word.

This is a great week at Spoon Full of Sugar.. please pop over an join our fun!!!!!!

HUGS and have a great Tuesday-

Teddy Say It with Flowers -

Good morning - whew... it has been a long week! Wait.. long hot humid week! And no excuses for having to leave to do something today... nope I have to stay home and do laundry and clean house then outside chores... I have no truck so can't even make us an excuses! Hubby took my truck in to do some regular maintenance on it. Oh well... if I get everything done today I can play this weekend right?

Here is a card I made a few days ago. It was for the Stampavie Challenge... but then I made another card and didn't use this one.

I love how feminine this card came out. Those papers are just gorgeous! They are from Graphic 45 "Le Romantique" collection. LOVE these papers, so much so that it hurts to cut into them! But if I don't use them, I won't have space for new ones when they come out right?

This is three different pattern papers, I cut the large roses out of one sheet and placed it on the pretty worded paper. And that pearl paper was just crying out to have lace and more pearls added to it! For my image these roses were made to use Stampavie's Heltz Cuppleditch Teddy Say It with Flowers image.
Colored with my Copics, high lighted with white gel pen, and then cut out with one of the Nesties Labels. I matted the image with the same coral peach color card stock I used as the base, inked the edges and doodled with the white gel pen. Then added more pearls :0) The sentiment is a new Hero Arts stamp... came with four stamps and I love the size and fonts. I punched it out with a Fiskars Squeeze punch, and used a Copic around the edge.

Don't forget about the Stampavie Challenge... all you have to do is use your own favorite colors and a Stampavie image and you can be in the draw for a FABULOUS prize!

Oh and make sure to pop in and visit the Stampavie DT Blog once in a while.. the DT are rotating days and each day there is a new card just below the challenge from one of the Design Team members... so lots of wonderful cards, all styles with all the wonderful Stampavie images!

Well I guess I have put off my long list of chores today long enough :0) Better get to work, have a wonderful Thursday!

A Sympathy Card - with Helz Cuppleditch Flower Planters

Sympathy cards are hard aren't they?  I love beautiful cards - but when I am making one for a friend, as a sympathy card it takes me forever. A dear friend lost her mother.. and I really wanted to make a special card for her. I spent three hours stressing over how to make this card.  I finally put it all together.

I used Stampavie's Flower Planters by Helz Cuppleditch - really a lovely image, and perfect for this card I felt.
Colored with my copics -

The base is an off white card stock, then I stacked up LOTS of layers of Classic K designer papers from K& Company. Each layer matted with another pattern, and sewed with straight and zig zag stitches. I found a satin ribbon that matched perfect so I ran it as a band across the middle.

I also did the inside, with two layers of pattern paper, sewed - and my sentiment is stamped in brown and sewed as well. And another band of ribbon.

A difficult time, and my heart is with her -

I will be back this afternoon with the winner of my blog candy - - -

Have you seen the Flower Power Camper Van?

HI - bet you thought I fell of the edge of the world huh? LOL Many of you may know I work for Stampavie, and well... we had a very large shipment of stamps come in.. I was at the bottom of them! But I have found my way out and thought I just had to use my New Sizzix dies, and my Big Shot Pro. YEA!!!

Now here is the thing... I under estimated the size of the Big Shot Pro. Shocked me how big it actually is! Then I ordered a couple of sizzix dies.. and well I over estimated their size! LOL I guess I am gonna just have to save my pennies and get some of the Pro dies... The regular dies are cute as can be, but ok..   small! :0)

First thing I made was is a cute Sizzix "Bag w/Flower" I thought this bag was so adorable when I saw it online, and thought what a cute way to give a gift. Small gift, so I ordered it. The finished bag measures 2.25 inches x 3.5 inches... LOL well maybe big enough for a gift card or money and that is a great gift :0)

So here is my "little" gift bag with the Flower Power Camper Van image by Stampavie and Helz Cuppleditch.
It is cute huh? I layered scraps of pattern paper and card stock and doodled the edges.. for that Flower power look...
My image is colored with my Copics, Spica Glitter Pens and gel pens. I then cut out the image out with my Fiskars fingertip craft knife.

The back of the die cut bag has this cute flower cut out, I made a small hole in the bag and used one of the petals as a closure for the bag. After I layered more scraps for decoration.

Ok, so it is a tiny bag, but I still think it has uses... and it is really cute. And I just love the Stampavie Flower Power Camper Van by Helz Cuppleditch - just really makes me want to put on some oldie music, find my tie dyed t-shirt and mellow out dude - Love it!

Hope you enjoyed it too :0)

Stampavie Challenge - Easter

Hello! Today is the Stampavie Challenge! And the challenge today is to make an Easter Card. With so many wonderful Spring images from Stampavie this is a pretty easy one!

For me I decided to use the new Helz Cuppleditch image Easter Scenery - a wonderful image!

I colored with my Copics, then pulled out my air compressor and sprayed the background. I love how it came out! I was going for that sunrise look? It kinda worked I think! I cut it out with my oval Nesties and then inked the edges with a light green ink and a sponge. All of my Happy Easter sentiments were... well cutesie looking. Does that make sense? I wanted something small and more "adult" so I had to make due and hand wrote it, and then doodled around the edge while I had the pen in my hand.

For my card I started with a peach card stock for the base, and then found an olive green card stock for the mat. The striped pattern paper is from Webster's pages. A new company for me, but really wonderful paper! Double sided, and great patterns, some really vintage looking, love those. I sewed the papers together with a zig zag stitch, then matted the oval with the same two card stock, and sewed those down. I found a piece of latice ribbon, that seemed perfect - I ran it across the center and then pop dotted my oval down.

So now you need to head on over to the Stampavie DT Blog and see the other Easter cards then join us! We keep the prize a secret... but believe me... you want to give it a go for this!!! Seriously he he he!

Better get to work... I have a LONG day at work today! :0)

The MichJay Challenge! #5 Now only in these photos!

I just love the MichJay Challenge each month!!! For those that don't know that is a personal challenge between my Buddy JayJay and I to take at least one day a month and create a 3-D project. We take turns finding templates and then create our own version then on the 20th of the month we show off our item!

This month was my turn to pick a template and I have been wanting to try this adorable little backpack template at SplitCoast Stampers - you can find the template HERE. Now this wasn't one of the easiest items I have ever made, but really it did go together pretty well, and I have to say I was so in love with how it came out.

I started with two sheets of paper, one the solid green card stock from Bazzil and then the second is a cute green and white gingham paper from American Crafts.

I followed the instructions from Splitcoast Stampers and put together all the pieces - with the template also provided. I used a white gel pen to stitch around the flaps on the backpack. And found the little Making Memory Mini Button brads that were just perfect to hold everything closed.
Micheal's ribbon is used for the handle of the "bag" at the top and the "shoulder straps"... LOL...

Now common really wasn't it too cute for words? And then was decorated even mor! I used the new Stampavie Helz Cuppleditch image "Ruffles Birdwatching" colored with my Copics and then cut apart and added to the front of the bag. Oh it was all so perfect!!!
So are you wondering why all the past tense? Well we all love little Libbie don't we.... Yes.. my adorable little puppy Libbie with help from her "sister" the cat Gato... it got knocked off of my desk onto the floor - from there it was fair game for Libbie, and she is teething and into shredding things ... this little backpack is now sitting on the corner of my desk in oh.. 10-12 pieces. I hated to even throw it away, I was so proud of how it came out.. OH well I scolded Libbie and shamed her all night... but in the end she wiggled her fuzzy little rear end, held her ears back... batted those ice blue eyes at me and well.. I forgave her :0)

Now it is time for me to run over and check out my Buddy JayJay's backpack!!! Can't wait to see hers! I hope you might try this template as well.. it really is fun to make, and just adorable! I found another piece of this paper in my stash... I may just recreate this one!

Hugs and have a great Sunday!

Chocolate and Roses and another new image!!

What could be better?? Teddy Chocolate and Roses is the name of the image from Stampavie and artist Helz Cuppleditch - I am really just loving the artist and all the images being releases from Stampavie - and this is one that is really just a wonderful image for so many topics.

For me.. I needed a little box to put a little something special in as a "gift" .. and Teddy and his candy was perfect. Colored with my Copics then cut out with my Nesties and doodled the edges. I also added two Mulberry Roses - one of my new passions.. lovin them!

The box base is white card stock, with a ribbon band around the base. The top is a pretty pink/white dot pattern from October Afternoon, hard to see in the photo, but I used my EK Success scallop border punch around the edge. Buttons on each side - for some added fun.

Now I just hope that my little present will fit.. LOL .. if not, I guess I have a box for another gift right? I had fun making it and it was something different to play with!

Man was it the Monday holiday that has totally messed up my week? I am off a day.. can't believe it is already Thursday!! I need another "holiday" to catch up.. LOL

Hope you have a wonderful day... me.... Hubby is fishing today, so I hope to get caught up on lots of little things around the house and get hopefully a little time to blog hop.. I feel like it has been forever since I had time to surf!!

Surprize from Helz Cuppleditch -

These new images from Stampavie are just so fun. And it was a really good thing I had a few colored up last weekend as this week by the end of the day I am just out cold. I know can you believe it... no energy to craft! I look so forward to next week.. that is when Sergio can go 4 whole hours during the night for feedings!! WHOO HOO ... that means Hubby will take the late shift. I do the middle of the night and then the next feeding will be when Hubby gets up in the morning!

Ok.. now to my card -

This is another new image from the Helz Cuppleditch collection from Stampavie. Cute again huh? Love this dog...
I colored with my Copics, and doodled the edge. For the pattern papers, I pulled out my little paper pad from Little Yellow Bicycle, the Baby Safari collection. Really cute. I found three patterns and then put them down and used my white gel pen to stitch the edges. I used a green and pink ribbon around the bottom of the pattern paper I used for the mat, really neat ribbon you see more green from one direction, and more pink from the other... simple things for simple minds... I entertain myself easily these days :0)
I then added two mulberry flowers, and different shades of Martha Stewart frond leaf punches. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.. I punched it out with a Fiskars Squeeze punch. It was white - and just was too white, so I colored it with my Copic marker.

Well I hope today to get my house a little bit cleaner... do some laundry and all that hinges on how much Hubby needs me to help with the craft room addition. :0)

Hope you have a wonderful day..

A Floral Fantasy at A Spoon Full of Sugar

This week at A Spoon Full of Sugar this week it is a Floral Fantasy.. that is pretty easy, and fun! We just need to see some sort of flowers on your card.

For my card it was just perfect timing to use another new Stampavie image!! This is from artist Helz Cuppleditch and is called "Teddy Say it with flowers". How wonderful is she??? Perfect for Nesties Oval die cuts huh? She is colored with my Copics.
For the card I started with a light pink card stock as the base, as well as a scalloped oval to mat behind my image. I doodled around the image with a white gel pen.

Now how pretty and soft are those papers? They are a new stack from K & Co. and I think it is called WP Gypsy Baby - I just feel in love with it, such pretty patterns! I picked three patterns, the stripes I added a Martha Stewart Double Dot Scalloped border punch and then sewed down everything, oh after I inked the edges with a pale pink ink.

Now it was time for my "Floral Fantasy" .. I could not find any flowers in my stash that matched perfectly.. too pink.. too yellow... just nothing! So I pulled out my white flowers and then used my Copics and my air compressor and two shades of pink (R81 & R83) and made the perfect color! Love that! For the centers I used some Making Memories pearls, these are wonderful they are flat on the bottom, easy to just add a glue dot. They came in a little box of "gems and pearls" that I found last week. Might have to get more of these.... And now those leaves. They are a Martha punch, a leaf that I have had forever! Why haven't I used it before??? Well I will now cuz I love how they look with the flowers!

The sentiment... again another little plug for my friend Jessica's stamps The Greeting Farm sentiment collection called "Butterfly Wishes" I am so loving this set, it is so fun and different! You get quite a few wonderful sentiments and quotes for the inside of your card. Check it out! OH and while there... Greeting farm just released new stamps again... you are going to love I am sure!

Now you can pop over to Spoon Full of Sugar to see a whole bunch of flowers and wonderful cards from the other DT... We all just love flowers! And don't forget to make up your own floral fantasy and join in for the prize!

Better get my grove on and get busy.. today is MIL shopping day and lots on the list of places to stop.. including JoAnn's ... and I don't get to go there very often!!
HUGS and have a wonderful Tuesday!

A Spoon Full of Sugar... GREAT Sketch and another Helz image!!!!

Tuesday = Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge! And today's challenge is a wonderful sketch by fellow DT member Caryn -

I of course had to start off with another brand new image sneak peek from Stampavie!! This is another from Helz Cuppleditch... cute or what? This little dog is all packed up and ready for the big move - I colored with my Copics with Chalk sky and grass.
I cut the circle with my Nesties - the base of my card is a dark red card stock, that I used to make mats for everything.... the circle I cut a scalloped circle with my Nesties - The pattern papers are Cosmo Cricket - again, I found some really pretty papers from them at a LSS - love the double sided! No thinking! I sewed all the pieces down with a dark red thread and straight stitch with my sewing machine - The flowers are Prima's stacked with jewelry spacers and mini brads. Punched Martha frond leaves. The "Celebrate" was black ink on white card stock - was really bright... didn't look right at all - so I took a light beige ink and ran over the entire thing to tone it down some.

This weeks challenge is a wonderful sketch and another great prize - so please pop over to the Spoon Full of Sugar site and see the other DT cards (I saw them... WOW!) then please do join us in playing!

I do hope this post actually showed up ~ I had to schedule it as I have an early morning appointment for Hubby's business. Does the scheduler ever go wonky on you and not work? Does me all the time! But I guess if you are reading this it worked! LOL If not I'll find out later in the day and post it manually - Have a wonderful Tuesday... me starting out with a business meeting.. yuck...

Stampavie DT Blog Challenge #9 - Bag it up! With another Helz image!

Today is the Stampavie DT Blog challenge, and it was a really fun one to play with! We were asked to use a template from fellow DT member Lauren Meader! I love her templates they are just so fun and cute! You’ll find the tutorial here. And trust me... this is a fun template that you will want to use again and again!
I used a piece of Cosmo Cricket two sided pattern paper, for the bag - My handle is punched with a SU label punch and I used a Fiskars corner rounder. I ran a piece of satin yellow ribbon around the bag - punched a whole in my image with another SU slit punch. The flower is one of my MIL's crocheted flowers, with Martha frond leaves and a sewed on blue button. Now how about that image?

This is again one of the new Helz Cuppleditch images that will be released from Stampavie. I just love these images! This is Ruffles Party... how fun!

I stamped the image on a new paper for me, Papertrey Natural paper. This paper has a more organic look to it, the color is not bright white and it has specks of darker papers in it. I used my Copics to color the image, other than the sky and ground, which is chalk. Then I went back with my white gel pen and colored in the bone. That is why it really pops - cool huh? I doodled the edge and then cut out a scalloped mat out of a scrap of yellow card stock with my Nesties.

I do hope you will visit the Stampavie blog and check out the challenge. As you know we are offering secret prizes with every bi-weekly challenge! It’s so much fun and who don’t love secrets? So come on and join us today or until August 9th 12:00 am blog time (means French time) at the latest to be entered for our next secret prize!
