Today I dusted off one of my digital images... I just adore this little guy from Karen's Doodles! Peekaboo Boy! I think it is that cute little round bum in those striped shorts :0) Or maybe those gorgeous big eyes.
I colored with my Copics, and then did just a little shading with pencils. Just adorable image, don't you think?
For my card I had to use a piece of paper from the DCWV Denim stack. Love this paper, looks so real! And for some reason I always pair up denim with red - I cut the image in a circle and then cut a Nesties lacey circle. A band of ruffled red and white checked lace across the bottom with a double row of pearls. - it still needed a bit more - so out came the pearl flourish! Love those! It is sort of like instant gratification.. LOL
My sentiment is a favorite - from Stampabilities. Fun and too perfect for this image! Was a pretty quick card - and love how it came out that image is just too adorable! Did I say that already???? LOL
Well... busy day today. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Father's Day here in the US - Hug your Dad... I miss mine so much, I can't believe it has been 11 years nearly since we lost him. Love YOU Dad...

Herbert's In Love - Turtles in Love
Last week, I was surfing and just fell in love with the image "Herbert's In Love" - I totally love Karen's Doodles, and I don't get to use as many as I would love to use - but when I saw this image, I HAD to get it and make up a card right away.
I colored with my Copics - and had lots of fun making it really bright and fun. I mean turtles in love it had to be bright and fun!
For my card I went for My Minds Eye Home Glitter stack. That glitter green dotted paper was just too perfect - and the bright colors that go with the collection complimented the "love" in the image. I used a EK Success scalloped heart border punch, and then my sentiment is cut out with a Fiskars Heart punch for some over the top added love.
And decorated the inside to match as well. Those heart punches were out of white card stock that I colored with a red Copic then outlined with stickles.
Was just a fun card to make - it made me smile. It is now gone... shipped off for a friend. Hope she likes it too :0)
I think I may need a few more of Karen's Doodles... too cute!

My THIRD Donkey Card - Karen's Doodles!
Here is my THIRD Donkey Card!!
I just have to tell you about this image... as the first cards started coming in after my accident... this donkey was showing up - even drugged and a bit loopy I freaked over it. Where did it come from? I hadn't seen it before and he looks so much like my first baby Diego!!! I had to have it, but was in no shape to follow up and try and find it. Then after a couple of weeks I saw it online! OH MY it was made for me???? I was nearly in tears - and so happy to have found it. So I have to send out a Thank you to Karen's Doodles!!! This image has given lots of wonderful smiles!
For my card I colored with my Copics, and then used K&Company pattern papers. I liked the red white and blue colors with the mat card stock. I sewed down with zig zag stitching. Red gingham ribbon - with a Stampin UP sentiment matted with a Fiskar's scallop punch.
Hope you like, I had fun with this one - it is my Diego! Gotta run... going to get my hair cut, the past two months it has gotten a bit out of control!!
