Double Double, Toil & Trouble!

Hello! Last week I was lucky enough to win a competition on FB run by Autumn Moon Designs for this AWESOME witchy themed stamp! As soon as it arrived I had to ink it up and make a card!

You can't really see it from the piccie but I added teeny tiny lime green gems above the cauldron to add some spookiness!

Hope you like the card!

A Spooktacular card.

It's almost Halloween, and I thought I would make another wee Halloween themed card.  I decided to use Angelica Strange as the focal point for my card, how cute is she? I coloured her using Promarkers, stamped the skull onto her dress, then masked it to have the crossed bones on the dress too.  All of the papers are from the 31 Spook Street Digi Kit and I punched them out using my trusty Hexagon Punch.  The sentiment also comes from the Angelica Strange set.

Ingredients
Promarkers
Memento and Archival Ink Pads
Foam pads

I hope you like her as much as I do, and it inspires you to do some Halloween crafting!

Moooo Booooo!

It's midway inspiration over at Kitty Bee Designs for their Halloween Challenge and I thought I would join "Team Bees" as I love the Halloween digi stamps so much.

I used this cute cow dressed as a pumpkin, how cute is it?  I coloured it with Promarkers, and popped some Stickles on the black patches and the pumpkins eyes.  I spent some time looking through all my digi papers, I hadn't realised how many I actually had, just as well they don't take up much space ;) and picked a pumpkin one and some cow print for contrast.

I hope you can pop over and join in with the Halloween challenge.

It's October

And that can only mean one thing...Halloween is on it's way! It is my turn to host the challenge over at Sarah Hurley Challenges and I had to choose Halloween.  I love everything Halloweeny, from witches to bats, ghoulies to black cats and I think it is becoming much more of an occasion here in Britain too.  Thankfully, it is much easier to get Halloween stash to make things too.

Sarah has recently launched a new range of characters and you can find them living in 31 Spook Street. There are stamps and a great digi kit, which includes some awesome digi papers.

I used stamps for my project and did some inky crafting for a change.  I usually make quite clean and simple cards, so this was an adventure for me.  I used elements from Angelica Strange and Malcolm Strange Stamp Sets and embossed some of them with clear embossing powder to make a background.

I then used Distress Inks to add some colour to the background, whilst leaving the pumpkin and boooo clear/white.  I was really pleased with the results, and the stamps produce clear crisp images every time, and because they are clear you can see exactly where you are stamping and that it is straight, which was important for the "Spooktacular" sentiment, which is in the Angelica Set.  I used black embossing powder for the spider, fussy cut him and popped him onto some 3d foam to give him some dimension.

Ingredients
Distress Inks
Clear and black embossing powders
Versa Mark Ink, Black Memento ink
Orange and white card from stash.

I really hope you can pop over to the Sarah Hurley Challenges and join in with the things that go bump in the night.

There is a new range on the block.

And I would like to say "Welcome to 31 Spook Street" . And the residents of this street are The Strange Family. I am soooo super excited and lucky to have had a sneaky play, and teased you all with a sneaky peek, with this spooktacular new range from Sarah Hurley.
I had a play with the Digi Kit to make this card, and a couple of the stamp sets are winging their way to me.  As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to have them, especially when I saw the really cute cat, owl and ghosts wooooooo. Though best of all is this little chap that I have coloured as he is called "Malcolm Strange" and I adore him, nothing to do with the fact my hubby is called Malcolm ;-) The digis in the set are coloured or black and white, so ideal if you want to make a quick card, or like me want to create a scene with one or more of the characters. I popped Poe the Owl and Muffin the Cat in, just so Malcolm wasn't alone.  You may have noticed the awesome skulls and bones on the background paper, that is also from the set and is featured in different colours, and they all work perfectly together.

It's almost Halloween...

And tonight I thought I would finally bite the bullet and enter one of the "13 Days of Halloween" Challenges over at Simply Challenged Challenges. They were ever so slightly short of entrants for a prize to be given out, so thought I would take myself out of my comfort zone and try a Halloween card. I am in the Simply Betty group on Facebook, and they are a great bunch of girls, I even met two of them today and had a great time.  The group also does swaps every now and again, and the gorgeous papers I have used came from my lovely swap partner Emily.

The theme I chose was "candy corn", so my card could only have yellow, orange, white and black as colours.  I used a Simply Betty digi Skeleton Peter, and coloured him with Promarkers. I then pop him onto a nestie cut shape, that I embossed with a Skull and brocade.  I added lots of diecuts(mostly from the lovely Anda), and tried my best to stick to the colour scheme. I hope you like him :D

Here is a close up(in better lighting) of the embossed die cut.

It's been a while

Since I blogged, so now I am back with a vengance.  First of all here are some fab wee Halloween items that I made this morning using Sarah Hurleys fab Witching Hour Halloween digi kit.  I love the idea of the embellishments on a stick for popping into Halloween cupcakes, so decided to try and make my own. I am really pleased with the result.

I always have wee bags of sweeties ready for "Trick or Treaters, or "Guisers" as we call them in Scotland, and thought the journalling cards in the kit were perfect for this, I have added some images from the kit onto the cards too :)

I am really loving playing with the digi kits, there are so many things you can do with them, the only limit is your imagination  :)

I would like to enter them into the following challenges;

New month, new challenge.

And the theme this fortnight over at Card Cupids Challenge Blog is Bugaboo Halloween. There are some fabulous digis over at Bugaboo Stamps, and they have a fab sale on this weekend too!

I chose the adorable Halloween Brat Witch for my card, coloured with Promarkers, Kuretake Art & Graphic and Fleximarkers.  I used a Sakura glitter pen on her buckles, to make them nice and sparkly. I sat her on a piece of Black Magic Co'redinations that had been embossed with a Cuttlebug Halloween folder, and lightly sanded to reveal some purple. I used the lovely pumpkin paper from the Sarah Hurley Witching Hour kit, the spiders web paper is also from that. And I popped a wee die cut bat on it too.

I hope you like it.

Here is a close up of the sparkly bits.

Hope this inspires you to make something Halloweeny :)
