MAX ROMEO & THE UPSETTERS - War Ina Babylon

Max Romeo, também conhecido como Moxie, nasceu em Alexandria, St. Ann, Jamaica.
Nos anos 70 gravou dois importantes álbuns da história do reggae: “Revelation Time” e “War Ina Babylon”, produzido por Lee Perry.
Tornou-se célebre através de uma canção chamada “Wet Dream” (Sonho Molhado), que fez furor na Inglaterra, em 1969. Ela estava em segundo lugar, quando a BBC a proibiu, devido aos seus versos muito sugestivos.
O seu hino marcial “War Ina Babylon”, cantado com a sua voz de tenor penetrante, fez um enorme sucesso na Jamaica até a sua interdição em 1976, quando o governo jamaicano declarou o estado de sítio.
Teve numerosos sucessos como “Three Blind Mice”, “Let The Power Fall On I”, “Revelation Time” e “No Joshua No”, um severo aviso ao primeiro-Ministro da Jamaica, Michael Manley, a quem os Rastas chamavam de Josué:
