Lace flower Tutorial! Easy way to make Flowers, With all My Heart Valentine's Day Card!

Hello Crafty Friends! It is challenge time over at  3 Girl Jam! We are just a few days into our month long challenge! We hope you will join us!

Theme: Things I Love  w/Ribbon
Date: February 1, thru February 28 2013

Today I want to share a quick video tutorial on how to make lace flowers! 

You will need about 14" of 3 Girl Jam Lace
wire cutters
Needle nose pliers
Straighten out paper clip

Using the paper clip, weave along the bottom of the lace

Once all the lace is on the paper clip,

Bend and twist the paper clip. Clip off excess paper clip and using the needle nose pliers bend the clip under

Now start to form the flower

WoW! I have missed crafting so much! Some of you may know that I am an avid runner and have recently taken on a volunteer assistant cross country coach position at the local middle school. The commitment is 4 nights a week and 1 early morning. So during this season I am spreading my time thin! But I wouldn't have it any other way! I know that all my blogging friends understand the tough balance between real life and blogging life. I also hope everyone knows how much I miss visiting and seeing what is going on, but I am confident I will soon find a routine that works for me so I can fit it all in! I hope to visit soon! Happy Father's Day! Vintage Tim Holtz Style Card!

My Dad passed away in 2000, I always miss him more on Father's Day. Anyways I still wanted to make a card in his honor. He was an artist so he would have loved a piece like this.

 I have a funny story to share. My friend was having a yard sale so I gave her a box of stuff and said here this is stuff I don't want anymore. Just a box of stuff. Well a few weeks later I started noticing on a few blogs that sequin is coming back and was super bummed out when I remembered I put a completely full large Ziploc bag of all my sequin in the yard sale box. I figured it had been so long it was never coming back. SO it went back on my list of wants. Well last week a different friend said Hey I have some old craft stuff in my car do you want to look at it before I take it to GoodWill. I told her no thanks I have enough stuff. But she ended up coming over and said just take a look before I get rid of it. And so I did... and there inside her box of junk was my Ziploc baggie of Sequin!! It was meant to be!! LOL I was so excited to have my sequin back. 

So this just adds to my hoarding craft supplies, everything will eventually come back!!

Friendship is a Gift from the Heart!

I wanted to make a card for a blogging friend that will be heading back to work now that school is starting. I will be missing our daily texts and emails! She kept me laughing while I was at work and excited about crafting while I was at home. I told her she will now have to text me during her lunch hour about what she is eating!

I am sending this off to her to let her know how much her friendship means to me!

Today we are hopping because 3 Girl Jam is releasing a new product! It is the 3 Girl Jam bow Maker Yippee!! If you have trouble making bows look no further!

 Whoot Whoot the bow maker is here!

I am sending a crafting friend some crafting goodies this is the card I am including in her package I made the bow using the bow maker!

If you notice my bow has 3 loops on each side! The bow maker makes it so easy to make the loops even! And it makes a super tight knot so the bow will not come undone!

No Cricut on this one!
