Travel the world Tag! Update about Balance and LIFE!

Hello Crafty friends! Once again I am trying to balance all the things I want to do, I set up yet another schedule for myself so that I have some time to enjoy life and not just "survive" it! With so many changes happening in our lives, I can't help but become over whelmed and then I end up in circles accomplishing nothing. I need to schedule all the things I need/want to do including the fun stuff, like crafting! With Cross country season just weeks away I want to make sure I am actively finding ways to manage it all.  Fingers crossed I will be successful!

Anyways, I pre-made a traveler's notebook/mini scrapbook and took it with me to Costa Rica. And actually journaled about my trip daily! Now I need little bits and pieces to put it all together. With a few blank spots I wanted to fill in, this tag fit perfectly!

I used nothing but my Cuttlebug for this one!

Summer Time Fun a Page from my Mini Travel Scrapbook!

I don't scrapbook, but I do like to  Smash book and make mini books. I have been procrastinating making a book for our Family Vacation to Georgia from last year. I was able to make one for my In-Laws but mine has been sitting in a box, so today I thought I would make one of the pages! I won't actually add this page into the book until I complete all the pages so they end up in the correct order. You can see a similar travel book I made here! It is about 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 in size.

We stopped at a place called Priester's Pecans which is famous for its candy and super large Waffle cones. They have all these rocking chairs out front so I was able to take a fun picture with kids and Grandmas all lined up eating ice-cream!

`

I made sure to grab fliers, notepads, and anything else I could find that I would be able to use in this book during the trip. I hid the YUM under one of the Priester's Customer surveys!

My Travel Mini Brag book!

We are going to Georgia this summer and when we went last year I brought all the supplies with me so we could make a scrapbook of our trip.Well that never happened, so I decided I would pre-make the book and mail it ahead of time so while we are there with Grandma and Nana the only thing they have to do is write notes and add the photos!

I am so happy with how this came out!
The size is 9x6 I used office envelopes so there would be a place to hold tickets, mementos etc and added cardstock between each page! it is 22 pages!! it took me about 4 hours to complete. I might have to make one more, so that we have one and the Grandmas have one!

I used scallops so I can add just our faces to each one!

ALL papers are from scraps!
Scallops from Accent Essentials
Swiss Dots Cuttlebug

Serenity Scrappers Place to Visit

Serenity Scrappers is have a challenge!
Here are the details:

Do a two page 8x8 layout
The theme is "someplace you like to visit/travel"

Since I am working on a goal of completing a scrapbook for my friend for Christmas, I decided this was the perfect challenge for me to get another page done!

Every chance they get they go to the dunes... it is on the Arizona/California border.... and it is nothing but sand! They take their camper and sand rail and just play in the sand! I really wanted it to look like the photos I have seen and this sand paper did the trick! I added the Happy Trails because that is the phrase they use and the camper is just like theirs! I used going places for all the cuts.

I do plan on altering this later because this is an 8X8 Lay-out and the one I am making is 8 1/2x11, so I will be adding a title that says "THE DUNES" and "SAND RULES"

Craft your Passion Challenge and Paper Cutz Challenge!

I made this card for two challenges!

Craft your Passions challenge # 9: You need to use... only ONE designer paper and only 3 brads.

I used three brads as the exhaust puffs.. (is that what they are??LOL)
And the paper is from the DCWV Travel stack paper pack.

The other challenge is:
Paper Cutz Challenge # 44

For challenge # 44, make a card, LO or craft project with a vaction theme using a digital, hand stamped or Cricut cut image of a car, plane, travel trailer or RV. Use any colors you'd like.

I used the icon image from the Wild Card cartridge, it was on the wedding page, I used the real dial size and clipped off the string of cans!

PDE Challenge # 3 Vacation!

PDE Is having challenge #3! You can check out Janis's blog here!

Your Challenge: Make a card, layout, or other craft item using the theme VACATION.

The timing is perfect! We have family coming to visit us for vacation and I wanted to send them a card to say how excited we are!

I found this perfect luggage paper in the DCWV Travel Stack!
I used my punches for the cut-outs and Create a Critter for the word explorer, the memories stamp is from scrappy Cat.
I wanted it to look like the luggage had been traveling and has collected its share of stickers and things!

Paper Cutz Challenge # 36

I have never made a lay-out before, I usually only make cards but I thought it would be fun to give it a try.

I don't know if I even make it correct or not! It just looked cool to me!!

The paper is from the travel stack, the arrows are cut from the Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge and the stamps are from Scrappy Cat.

For challenge # 36, make a card, LO or craft project using 3 patterned papers. That's it! Use any colors or theme you'd like
