The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #115 - J is for Junk

That's some place you've got there, Edna!

Welcome, welcome, welcome... It's time for another fabulous challenge over at SoSS. This week it's all about recycling, which is a subject close to the hearts of many crafters as we all love to squirrel away interesting bits and pieces to re-use and up-cycle at a later date.

I couldn't resist up-cycling this cute little clothing tag with gesso, stamps, paints, pencil crayons and a Vera Lane sweetie. She looks lovely hanging on the wardrobe door of our spare room and was surprisingly quick and easy to create. The current heat wave is speeding-up the drying process between layers like you wouldn't believe: terrible for the garden, but useful for crafting!

Come and join us as we celebrate all things recyclable!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - Challenge #114

Another brilliant graphic heralds the start of another fun challenge over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! This fortnight we offer you 'C is for Colouring'.

I have to admit that I love colouring, so this challenge is a dream for me.

I enjoyed playing with elements of this stamp when I made a card for my dad a few weeks ago. I do like these birds, so thought it would be fun to swap things about a bit and to add a silly sentiment!

As always, my sistahs-in-snark have whipped up some fantastic cards, so head on over to take a look and join us for this challenge.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - Challenge #113

Hi guys, I'm a week late with this card for Challenge #113, but didn't want to completely let down my SoSS teamies so here we are!

This is my first attempt at a Gel print - I clearly have LOADS to learn about the noble art. I over-stamped with Zen Floral by Honey Bee Stamps and added the sentiment on the PC.

BTW, please don't think I'm making light of the whole colonoscopy thing as I have several family members who have had this procedure and know the pressure of that waiting-for-the-result time. We are so blessed in the UK to have the amazing NHS - I wish the whole world had access to something like this fabulous institution.

You can take a look at the sistahs equally sick and twisted creations by heading here!

Card Chain Challenge - June 2018 Reveal

Hi there!

I know I say it each month, but wow, what a fabulous reveal post we have on show over at CCC!

We had this sketch and these colours on offer:

Plus a super fun theme of Trees/Jungle Animals/Friendship and a technique option of Stitching (Real or faux).
I tracked down these cute monkeys in my Hero Arts box - aren't they adorable! The Banana and the sentiment come from a magazine freebie and the paper is from Stampin' Up.

I sent my card to Arlene and received this beauty from Greta!

Should you wish to become a link in our fabulous, fun chain then please head over and sign-up for the July Challenge! Shhhhh, don't tell anyone but we have a sponsor for this one...
