H is for Hound - Part 2

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers have a fun challenge running at the moment which is all about celebrating our fabulous, four-footed companion: the dog.

I thought I'd share two more cards for this challenge.

Do you like his goggly eyes? This little pup from MFT is far too sweet to be snarky while his Katzelkraft chum below, is as naughty as they come! This bespectacled pup sort of 'partners-up' with the cat on my previous post.

So break-out your dog stamps and come play along. You have until Friday 2nd September to join us.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - H is for Hound

Another fun challenge from The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers... and this time it's H is for Hounds!

As you can see from my card I went a little outside the box with this one!

I created my background with a Tim Holtz Checkerboard stencil after printing the 'sentiment' on my PC. This cute little cat from MFT is wearing a pair of Katzelkraft glasses because wearing glasses always makes 'doing the maths' a little easier... Or is that just in my imagination!

To see what the Sisters created, and to welcome two fabby new DT members, please head this way...

Creative With Stamps Challenge Mid-month Reminder - Geometric

Hi there, everybody! I'm just dropping by to remind you that we are now half-way through the current challenge over at Creative With Stamps. Our theme for this challenge is Geometric!

I'm pretty sure this is a CASE of a card I saw ages and ages ago but I can't recall who made the original! I loved that card so much I bought this sweet little background from Neat and Tangled and tried to replicate it: without success. For some reason this little homage looks a whole lot better than my previous efforts!

We already have some gorgeous creations in the CWS challenge gallery but the summer vacation/holiday season seems to be keeping the number of entries on the low side. So do come and join us, won't you please?

Naughty or Nice Challenge #30 - Reminder

We've reached 'reminder time' over at Naughty or Nice for our challenge Your Number's Up!

For my card I used a super-fun image from Art Impressions. Unfortunately, the colour has washed-out quite badly as this is a cheery, bright creation IRL.

I created the sentiment on my PC and I love the idea that we're eaves-dropping on these ladies as they sit under their colourful canopy and relax at the beach!

In addition to our usual badges we have a prize this month so you've got even more reason to join The Troublemakers and play along!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - I is for Inappropriate

Well, what do you know... Those lovely ladies from The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers got in touch and asked me to join them as a permanent member of the design team! How happy am I??? Thanks guys, you rock!

So, let's jump right in with the new challenge which is I is for Inappropriate

I've broken-out a new-to-me AI stamp and gone with very traditional Christmas colours. The sentiment is perhaps less traditional!

Join the Sisters here for more inappropriate stuff... If you dare!

Green!

Each month those lovely people over at Simon Says Stamp have a feature called  'Work it Wednesday'. This is an opportunity for us crafters to share what we’ve been working on and possibly win a 'grab bag' of goodies in a random draw!

The challenge for this month is to use the August Birthstone, Peridot in a project!
I love the colour green but seldom use it or my cards, so I thought this was an opportunity to put that right!

Isn't this a cute stamp? It's ALM Martinis on Me and is perfect for a quick and simple make. A little bit of stenciling, colouring and sparkle and she's done!

July - Card Chain Challenge

Deborah's running a little late with the July Card Chain Challenge reveal due to work and other commitments. I'd got this post set on auto and had forgotten about it until it 'popped-up' today. I decided rather than delete it I'd go ahead and share my cards.

I sent my very simple card to Jane in the UK and, unusually for me, I stayed pretty faithful to Deborah's colour palatte and sketch with my little ginger MFT cat. I try really hard each month but somehow always manage to go a little off script!

My sender for this month is the lovely Janet. I was amazed at how quickly her beautiful card arrived from Mauritius.

To see the full reveal please head on over to Deborah's blog, I know she'll get on it as soon as she can.

Creative With Stamps Challenge #5 - Geometric

It's a new month and a lovely new challenge over at Creative With Stamps!

For Challenge #5 we'd like to see your gorgeous 'Geometric' creations.

To be honest the word 'geometric' sent me into a total panic as I tried to think of an idea incorporating triangles, hexagons and many other shapes that I don't have in my crafting supplies. Finally, I realised it could mean circles and so I inked-up an embossing folder and created this colourful background. The main image is from Stamplorations set Subway Art Builders.

Once again the CWS DT girl's have created some lovely cards for this challenge and we'd love you to play along and get geometric with us!

Naughty or Nice Challenge #30 - Your Number's Up!

We've reached something of a milestone over at Naughty or Nice as this is our 30th Challenge!

And we're celebrating this happy fact with fabulous cards from The Troublemakers all about numbers and age-related naughtiness.  As always there are our gorgeous badges on offer for the best naughty creation and the best nice creation...

Plus we have a prize of a fun set of clear stamps from Art Impressions. Here's a sneak peek of what's on offer... You'll have to visit the blog to get the full details!

My card features the fabulous Art Impressions set 'Fire Out'. You won't be surprised to learn that this card is for a friend celebrating the big 6-0!

Unfortunately, it's photographed really badly as the purple glitter paper looks sparkly and lovely in real life!

The Troublemakers have had even more fun than usual with their creations and we'd love to to join in the fun as we celebrate with our special milestone challenge!
