Proverbs

I was caught by the line, "A Fox knows much..." 1640 by George Herbert.  He wrote a large collection of Proverbs and much can be read into them. Here is a list of them. This fellow thought about things.

And also  John Heywood, with his proverb, "None so deaf..." 1546.  He wrote many  you will recognize here

Proverbs (or sayings) are Clever, sometimes Amusing, always Thought provoking... it makes you realize there are a lot of minds out there that put 2 and 2 together, write it down and let others in on it.

Proverbs entertain us, warn us and try to make us wiser.... in a gentle sort of way.

Animal Sketches - Celtic Inspired

It is usually at this time of year... most every year... that we treat ourselves with new sketchbooks...

...it doesn't mean that our old sketchbooks are full...

or that we are not going to fill them up ...

 au contraire...

... we just want to be ready if the urge strikes... or ideas pounce...  to indulge ourselves by scrawling across the page

.. just imagine if you got in the zone and couldn't stop...  it would be terrible to run out of paper, especially heading into the depths of winter.

Oh yes, I know, there are tons of other surfaces to draw on... walls... desktops... arms...  clothing... each other...

but Fresh Paper  ... ahhhhh...   it's almost as enticing as wafts of fresh bread straight from the oven.

had passed away from a stroke on Sunday Sept.23,2012.
So suddenly, so unexpected... He was so full of life-giving energy... This Post is dedicated to him, for if anyone knew how to find joy and to Love his whole Life, it was him. Funny, intelligent, caring, inventive, full of good common sense.
I Miss You Old Fool....  RIP  my Friend.

George Orwell told it like he saw it.

..." All animals are created equal,
but some animals are more equal than others"...

I'm sure you have read his book...   What do you think???
