Num pequeno texto inserto no disco, Charlie Haden compara Carlos Paredes a Ornette Coleman no que à atitude perante a música diz respeito.

"Song For Che" foi dedicado por Charlie Haden, em 1971, no Festival de Jazz de Cascais aos movimentos de libertação da Guiné e Cabo Verde, Angola e Moçambique.
