Ornament card take 2

This will be my last post for the SNB blog.  I've enjoyed my time on the design team and loved the chance to create using Alison's darling images.
This is image is called Squared Ornament #2 and found here at the store.
I made two versions of this card and totally paper pieced this card.

Paper Pieced Reindeer

This is the Squared Reindeer from the SNB store.  You can find it here.  I made two versions of the reindeer by paper piecing it and then using the leftovers for the second card.  No coloring on this card.
Here are the two versions i did:

Thanksgiving Centerpiece

Hi, I've been inspired by this image and a blog post with a Thanksgiving centerpiece that my friend, Jenee, shared with me.  The image i used is called "Thanks Squared" and can be found here.

What i did:
I printed the image 3 times once using white cardstock, metallic brown cardstock and metallic red cardstock. I cut out the image and decided not to use the "thanks". I stamped the white cardstock turkey image using a "letter writing" stamp. Then i colored in the beak, and striped feathers.  I added a dotted colored background.  Next i paper pieced the turkey and feathers.

Using my cricut i cut out various leaves and an acorn and a lattice band.  I took out my battery operated candle and a glass plate i had purchased at a charity shop to use for a craft.  I decorated the lattice band with the turkey and leaves.  Then i flipped the plate upside down because the base was the perfect size for my candle.  I added the leaves and acorns on the plate.  No worries about the candle catching the paper on fire using the battery operated one.

Leaf and band measurements:
Green leaf- Disney Mickey & Friends cart- 3" high (gypsy)
Yellow leaf- Disney Dreams com true- 2.50" high (gypsy)
Acorns- Doodlecharms- 1.94" high (gypsy)
Red Maple leaf- Designers Calendar- 2.75" high (gypsy)
Lattice band- MS Elegant cake- 11.50" x 1.90" (gypsy)

I have made a video showing how i made this centerpiece here.

Mitten Gift Card Holder

My SNB project for this week is a Mitten gift card holder.  I used the mitten found here at the SNB store.
This is what i made:

This is how i did it:
I printed off the image and then backed it with plain paper, zig-zagged around the outside of the black outline and then i cut it out.  Then i paper pieced the mitten and star.  (Because i used 2 colors i have the reverse mitten as well).  I used my pearl pen and stickles on the mitten. I hole punched the top and strung some baker's twine through it.  I also punched a half circle in the back so that it is easy to put the gift card in and out.

Spark- Glow Worm

Happy, Happy little glow worm image goes perfect with a saying i found online.
Spark the glow worm is found here at the SNB store.
I am also making this card using this sketch at "Try Stampin' on Tuesday" and adding some twine and buttons for the challenge at Digital Tuesday.
Here is the card i made using the image and sketch:
What i did with the twine is use the buttonhole stitch and tied it off.
The saying for the glow worm goes like this:
I wish i was a glow warm,
a glow worm's never glum
'cause how can you be grumpy,
when the sun shines out your bum!  (found this somewhere on line)

Have your Cake and eat it too card

I just love this Cake & Candles digital stamp it is SO versatile.  I saw the sketch at deconstructing jen's  for this week and thought....perfect combination!

Here is what i did using the image and sketch: (not a border punch below, but a welded word using my gypsy...see instructions below)

How i did this:
I used my Wild Card Cartridge and welded the words to rectangles to make them like a border punch.  Printed out my image on patterned paper and white paper, cut out the patterned paper and colored in the rest of the image.  Cut the image out and adhered it with foam dots.  Used a bit of baker's twine and glittery blue background paper to give it a celebration feel.

Kiss Me

I've been wanting to use this digital image from the SNB store and i came across the perfect sentiment to go with it.  The sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo and is written by a child.  The digital image looks like it has been drawn by a child as well  soooo...

Here is the image....(click here to transport to the store to see it)

Here is what i did:
I chose to use the sketch from Unscripted Sketches for this card found here.

I stamped the sentiment, printed the image and colored it in.  Using my cricut i cut out the postage stamp frame used behind the sentiment (Gyspy Wanderings cart) and cut out the "Kiss Me" using the Sweetheart cart. I used mini buttons and baker's twine.

SNB Window and Bat -October Birthday

I am so excited about how this card turned out.  You know sometimes you have a vision and it just doesn't turn out?  This time what i wanted to do turned out better than i thought it could..and that is rare for me.  I used the SNB Window and Bat image found here as my inspiration for this card.

And this is what i did using the image...

What i did:
I used the Christmas cartridge's window and welded the shutters from the Mini Monster's haunted house layer.  If you have the October 31 Cartridge, you could use the window in there as is.  I then colored and cut out the window/bat image and made an easel card.  I found this wonderful free sentiment here.  I also used my Martha Stewart spider web punch.

The Moon and the "mouse" Card

This card for SNB (Stretch n' Bubbles) was a bit tricky.  I used the "The moon" here , but i also cropped the mouse out of The window bat image which is found here.  I also reversed the mouse/window image in Photoshop so that he would we be in the same direction as the moon.
I LOVE this little mouse...he is so darn cute!!

Don't be disappointed, you will see this entire image later this month...in time for a Halloween treat. :)

What i did:
I printed the moon on yellow cardstock and cut it out.  Then i used my embossing folders to get 4 different looks, swirly, handwritten note, canvas and clouds.  I distressed the moon and on some of the embossed moons i colored the raised parts with a white opaque pen.  Then i took the window image and reversed it in Photoshop and then i cropped out just the mouse and enlarged him to fit the size of my moon.  I colored and cut the mouse out and set him on the moon. I added some buttons and sparkly gems to look like stars.  A bit of baker's twine and tada..my card to share with you!  I've left an area for a sentiment as well.  I was thinking, Sweet Dreams or Hoping all your dreams come true, Dreams do come true...Maybe you have some other suggestions?

Dress Stand & Lipstick Cards

I have just started designing for Stretch N' Bubbles.  So exciting...here is my first set of cards i made.  Hope you like them!
This is the image i used called Dress Stand #2 and you can find it here.

What i did:
To make one card, i printed off the image on cardstock and then on pattern paper.  I actually used phone book paper for the stand and printed scrapbook paper for the dress.  Next you need to cut out the pieces and glue them on the cardstock image.  Then i cut out the entire image and set up my background for the card and used foam dots to attach the dress stand.  To embellish the dress stand i used ribbon or tulle for the belt and tacked it down the ends using glue dots.  I also added some gems.  I used my cricut/gypsy for the "lipstick" sentiments using gypsy wanderings cartridge.   I added some hand stamped images to the background to make it look like a bulletin board. I also punched some leaves using a MS punch.
