And now for my project. I made a couple of fun shape cards to send out when we go on vacation. Both of these cards use the new Destination Fun stamp set.

The California svg came from a set called The United States by Lettering Delights and the heart and Mickey icon came from Miss Kate Cuttables Mouse Memories Boy. That perfect little sentiment is from the new Destination Fun stamp set.

This adorable little Beach Scene Stamp is a cut from Miss Kate Cuttables. I made it into a shape card and I finished it off with a few accent dots and of course the same awesome Destination Fun sentiment is stamped across the bottom.

Next up on the Line Up is the amazing Lori.

Today is the 2nd day of the blog hop. Winners will be picked from a different blog each day, so the more you comment the more chances you have to win.

Woof Woof Happy Birthday!

Hello friends, today my crafty friend Pam and I are doing our monthly cut challenge. I picked this month and decided to use a cartridge that I haven't used in quite a while. I chose a cute little doggy and balloon from the Paper Pups Cricut cartridge.

I used several different products for this one. The cloud background is made with My Creative Time's Cartoon Cloud Background stamp. The little speech bubble is from the Stitched Round Speech Bubble Dies by My Creative Time. The birthday sentiment is from the February 2012 SKOTM by Peachy Keen Stamps. The 'woof!' sentiment is from the Hillbilly Holler Dog by Peachy Keen Stamps. I used Sakura Gelly Roll pens for my faux stitching. The grass is from the Sports Mania Cricut cartridge and I used a Versamarker to accent the edges.

Make sure to check out Pam's blog to see what she did with this cut. Click HERE to go to her blog. Hugs- Glora

Hawaiian Shirt Card

Today Pam and I are doing our monthly cut challenge. I chose the cut this month. I wanted to make a Hawaiian shirt shape card for my Dad for Father's Day. My Dad used to have a shirt that looked almost exactly like this.

This cut is from the Pack Your Bags Cricut cartridge. It is a super simple card but I think he will love it and it will bring back some fun memories. On the inside I stamped Happy Father's Day.

I'm excited to see what Pam came up with for this cut. Make sure to check out her blog HERE. Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Isn't she a cutie? I love the way this cut file and my Peachy Keen Stamps came together. Other products I used were my Glossy Accents, Sakura Gelly Roll Pens, Stickles, chalk and a Versamarker.

My Teacher Rocks! - Teacher Appreciation

I just wanted to share with you the last couple of things that we did for Teacher Appreciation Week.

I made this card for my daughter's teacher and included a note and a gift card.

The cut is from the Recess Cricut cartridge. I made it into a girl cut instead of a boy cut by using the hair from the girl that sits at a desk on that cartridge. This super cute face that makes it look like she is reading out loud  is from Peachy Keen Stamps The Moodies 1 1/8" face stamps. The book title is from My Creative Time's My Teacher Rocks! stamp set. I did some faux stitching and used my Versamarker as well. Oh yes and those darling little flowers in her hair can be found at Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Here is the cute card that my daughter drew for her teacher:

And last of all we gave her about 20 homemade cards and envelopes in a bag with a topper.

The cute star on the topper is a stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps called You are a Star.

Have a great day and I will see you Wednesday for the PKS and SVG Cutting Files Blog Hop. Hugs- Glora

Feliz Cumpleanos

Well Pam and I like to do a cut challenge each month. We were doing it on the first Wednesday of the month and having it as an open challenge. We have both had a lot going on so we decided that for the time being we will just keep the cut challenge between ourselves.

I chose the cut this month, the 6 candle cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge. I like this cut and haven't used it before. I thought it would be a cute cut for my nephew's birthday.

I kept the colors bright and basic because it is for a boy. I also used my Peachy Keen stamps for the faces. I used both Simple Simons and the December 2012 SKOTM for the faces. The Spanish birthday sentiment is from Emma's (My Creative Time's) Wow So Many Candles! stamp set. I used Versamarker around all the edges and did some accenting with my Sakura Gelly Roll Pen. I also pop dotted the candles up and rounded some corners as well.

Don't those faces make you smile? I hope they will bring a smile to the birthday boy's face too. Make sure to check out Pam's blog (HERE) so you can see what she did with this cut too. I can't wait to check it out as well. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Simply Crafts Challenge- Reindeer

It is the first Wednesday of the month again which means it is time for another Simply Crafts Challenge between Pam and I. This month Pam chose out the reindeer from off the Doodlecharms cartridge. If you would like to join in on the fun you can find all the details on the Simply Crafts Challenge Blog (HERE).

The sentiment is from My Creative Time's From Our Family to Yours. This is just a REALLY simple card with a little bit of Versmarker and some Sakura Gellyroll. I also added Stickles and glossy accents.

Make sure to check out Pam's blog so you can see how she put her card together and don't forget to stop by the challenge blog if you would like to join in on the challenge. Hugs- Glora

MCT - Fontabulous November Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to another My Creative Time stamp and die release. This release is full of fonts and fun. I think you are going to just fall in LOVE with everything. If you came here from Cindy L.'s blog you are in the right spot, if not make sure that you head back to Emma's blog so that you can get the full hop in.

For my project I used the new Circle Font. I thought they would look really cute on a bath time layout for my baby.

I used the brand new Circle Font stamps with the circle from the Build a Banner set to create my title. I also used some of the circle dies as bubbles. The cute little baby is from the Baby Steps Cricut cartridge. I stamped the baby's face with the Critter Faces (large) stamp set and the duck's little eye was stamped with the Bird Faces and More stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps.

These new font sets are AWESOME. I'm having so much fun playing with them.

Thankful Blog Hop

Welcome to the Peachy Keen Stamps Thankful Blog Hop. Today we are hopping with the current and alumni design teams and it is all about being THANKFUL. I hope you enjoy all the projects today and end up feeling inspired and thankful. You should have arrived here from Raven Baca's blog but if not make sure that you start back at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog so you don't miss out on anything.

For my project I made a thankful banner:

I know it looks small here but the pilgrims are actually over 12" tall. I used the new 4" Everyday Character Faces for these cuties and I think I am in LOVE. I'm SO thankful that Kathy made these.

Here are some close ups:

The cute pilgrims come from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge and are extra cute because of their Peachy faces. Here is the boy:

The banner pieces and letters are all cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge:

I have so much to be thankful for. I have a beautiful family and a strong faith. We are truly blessed, I could could go on and on but I know you will want to keep hopping along.

Don't forget about the big sale going on right now:

Simply Crafts Challenge September 2012

Well believe it or not it is the first Wednesday of September which means it is time for another Simply Crafts Challenge. This month I chose the cut and it is the birthday sundae on the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge. If you would like to join in on the fun you can get the full details HERE on the Simply Crafts Challenge blog.

Here is my card using this cut.

This is the second day in a row that I've posted an ice cream card. Well I guess I have just been in the ice cream mood and let's face it ice cream makes me happy so the sentiment ICE CREAM = HAPPINESS! rings true for me. My card base comes from the Birthday Bash cartridge as well. I hadn't cut any of their pre-designed card shapes before and really thought I should give one a try. I love how this one turned out, in  fact so much so that I am planning on trying another one very soon. I didn't want to cut out and glue tiny sprinkles so I used some sprinkle paper from a 6x6 Imaginisce Hello Cupcake paper pad. I added some VersaMarker and some doodling to most of the pieces. I did some faux stitching along the edges of the card as well. And that oh SO perfect sentiment comes from My Creative Time's Celebrate Good Times stamp and die set.

Make sure to check out Pam's blog so you can see the details on her project and once again if you would like to join in on the fun and have a chance at winning an awesome prize link up at the Simply Crafts Challenge blog. Hugs- Glora

Items Used:

Show Me Your Technique with My Creative Time

Hello crafting friends. Today we are doing another technique mini blog hop at My Creative Time. You should have visited:

Emma ~ My Creative Time
Cindy B ~ Cindy's Scraptastic Designs
and ME ~ Glora's Crafts

If you came here first don't forget to go back and see what Emma and Cindy have in store for you. I'm certain they have some awesome tips and techniques to share with you.

I wanted to share with you one of my favorite tools and techniques for my paper cut images. I especially tend to use this little weapon when I'm in a hurry but want to add just a little more depth and definition to my cuts.

The VersaMarker by Tsukineko.
I'm sure most of you have heard of this but if you haven't it is essentially a watermark pen that will color the cardstock a darker shade of the same color you are writing on. This marker works best on regular colored cardstock. If you are using patterned paper it doesn't always work for accenting. If you are wanting to use it on some patterned paper I would test it out on a little corner of it first to see if it will give you the look you are wanting.

When I want to add a little definition but don't have time to faux stitch or ink everything I just draw around the edges of the cut with my VersaMarker. Here is a picture of the same exact Cricut cut. The one on the left with VersaMarker and the one on the right without.

I tried to make them EXACTLY the same except for the VersaMarker. The extra highlights in her hair and the lines on her dress were also done with the VersaMarker. There was no switching of colors, no sponges, no mess, just quick and easy accenting. If you can draw a line you can use this marker.

Here is the card that I made with this little girl:

The girl was cut from the Fast Food Cricut Lite cartridge. Her face is one of the stamps from the new September 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month by Peachy Keen Stamps. For the perfect sentiments I used My Creative Time's Celebrate Good Times stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed our mini technique hop for the day and I will see you back here tomorrow for another Simply Crafts Challenge! Have a great day! Hugs- Glora
