On The Road Again

I'm happy to be doing a guest designer post for Craftin Desert Diva's today using the new Destination Fun stamp set.

We are going on a road trip this summer and I thought it would be fun to do some quick little treat bags for my girls with their favorite gum inside. I think they will love it.

Isn't that sentiment from Destination Fun perfect for these? I did a little masking so I could put the sentiment on the 3 lines. I like how it turned out.

The images all come from an svg set by Miss Kate Cuttables, appropriately called On the Road Again. I made the little treat bag using My Creative Time's 4x4 Journal Die + More. I hope you enjoyed it.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

And now for my project. I made a couple of fun shape cards to send out when we go on vacation. Both of these cards use the new Destination Fun stamp set.

The California svg came from a set called The United States by Lettering Delights and the heart and Mickey icon came from Miss Kate Cuttables Mouse Memories Boy. That perfect little sentiment is from the new Destination Fun stamp set.

This adorable little Beach Scene Stamp is a cut from Miss Kate Cuttables. I made it into a shape card and I finished it off with a few accent dots and of course the same awesome Destination Fun sentiment is stamped across the bottom.

Next up on the Line Up is the amazing Lori.

Today is the 2nd day of the blog hop. Winners will be picked from a different blog each day, so the more you comment the more chances you have to win.

PKS & MCT Co-Hop

***If you are looking for my Easter giveaway. Scroll down to the next post or click HERE.

Welcome to my stop on the final day of the Miss Kate Cuttables and Peachy Keen Stamps Co-Hop. I LOVE both of these companies so I was SO excited for the opportunity to join in this co-hop.

I made 3 little projects to share with you today. Here they are all together.

These two little cuties here are 3" shape cards. I had so much fun with them. I hid the faces and grouped the pieces together and then I used the print and cut feature on the Silhouette Cameo. For the cute chick I used the Chick Holding Egg cut from Miss Kate Cuttables and for the face I used the Happy Lashes 1 1/8 inch faces by Peachy Keen Stamps. The darling bunny is the Rabbit Holding Carrot by MKC and the face is from the Cute and Cuddly 1 1/8 inch face stamps by PKS. The little Happy Easter Sentiment on both of these is from the March 2014 SKOTM.

I thought it would be fun to have the back side of these shape cards be the back of the little critter. By mirroring the image and deleting some of the details and changing which layers were on top of the others I was able to create a pretty convincing little back side. What do you think?

For my last project I made an A2 sized card. I used the Cute Easter Egg svg file from Miss Kate Cuttables. I stamped the sky using the Cloudy Day A2 sized background stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps. I also used the Piles of 1" Smiles for the faces and the Baby Easter Bunny stamp set both by PKS. I added some white baker's twine as an accent and I was done.

I hope you've enjoyed to fun. Don't forget to comment on all the participants blogs for your chance at some awesome prizes and to get a  free cutting file for the day.

Have a great day! Hugs- Glora

Beary Special Birthday

I bet you can hardly believe that I've had 3 posts in 3 days, me either ;). Today my friend Pam and I are having our cut challenge. For the first time we are using an SVG cut with our Silhouettes instead of a Cricut cut. We both have a Cricut and a Silhouette Cameo so I would imagine we will start doing a mix of cuts from both machines.

I chose the cut because I LOVE it and I have a ton of birthday cards I need to be making. This one will be for one of my nieces. This cut was one of Miss Kate Cuttables Freebie of Day cuts. It is no longer free but it can be purchased for 50 cents HERE. It is called Birthday Bear. I was SO impressed with how well the Silhouette Cameo cut the balloon string. It is so thin and cut BEAUTIFULLY.

I had heard all of these people raving about American Crafts cardstock and got some for a great deal recently. I really loved how it cut in the Cameo and I loved how easy it was to stamp on even with its pretty texture.

I used PK-496 Everyday Character Face Parts by Peachy Keen Stamps to stamp my cute bear's face. I filled in the white spaces with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen and added some glossy accents to the eyes and nose. The adorable sentiment is from another Peachy Keen stamp set called PK-161 Happy Birthday BIG. It has a HUGE happy birthday sentiment and two smaller sized cute 'bear' birthday sentiments. I stamped this bear sentiment on the outside and the other bear sentiment on the inside. The piece I stamped the sentiment on is a die by My Creative Time. It is from the Build a Banner Kit I just lengthened it out to fit my sentiment. Then I added a seam binding bow to my bear and I was done. I hope you enjoyed my card. I can't wait to see what Pam did with this cut.

Make sure to check out Pam's cut HERE! Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

A Fresh Start...

Lots of things are changing in my crafting world right now. It is crazy to say but for the first time in 3 years I have absolutely no crafting deadlines (other than the one that my friend Pam and I do just for fun). It has been strange and left me in a bit of a creative 'slump.' It is going to take a little bit to get myself out of it completely but I've decided to sit back and enjoy what I already have been blessed with during those three years and to make the best of it.

I have limited crafting time being a wife, mom, part time accountant, Primary President (someone who watches over the children on Sunday at my church), etc. I've always been kind of picky about trying out for design teams and have only ever tried out for 5 teams that I can think of and in this order: My Pink Stamper, Scrappy Mom Stamps, My Creative Time, Market Street Stamps and Peachy Keen Stamps. I made two of those teams. I was on Emma's, My Creative Time Design Team for 3 years and am blessed to have EVERY stamp and die that she currently has in her store (that is until next week). I was also on the Peachy Keen Stamps Design Team for 2 years - it was a dream come true. I fell in love with their stamps from the moment I saw them and dreamed of one day being a part of their Peachy Family. What a dream! It was a thrill to design for two companies that I love so much. I don't think I will be trying out for any other teams any time soon so you can look for me trying to participate in more challenges (which I haven't found time to do in a long time) and using some of the many BEAUTIFUL products I already have just for fun.

Since I'm having a fresh start to my crafting 'career'. I've FINALLY decided to complete the challenge that my sweet husband issued me months ago (about 1 1/2 years ago actually). I've wanted to sneak the project in again and again but there just hasn't been enough spare time. Well I finally started it today and completed it too. If you haven't noticed I have a fresh, brand spankin new, blog title. It now includes my darling little boy along with my two sweet girls my husband and I. I had a blast creating it too.

I used the Dress Up Paper Doll files by Lettering Delights along with a bunch of the Mouse files by Miss Kate Cuttables. Their darling faces are from the In the Garden Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. I also used a discontinued set by Peachy Keen Stamps for my glasses. It was called Accessories Assortment One.

Well I just love both the companies I've design for so you can plan on seeing me promoting them here and there too ;).

Peachy Keen Stamps just had a new release and it is ADORABLE. You can get it for 20% off through the 12th so hop on over and check it out if you haven't already.

My Creative Time is having a new stamp and die release on Monday. It is my first release not being on the team and not knowing what is coming out has kinda been driving me CRAZY, so I'll be there with the rest of you checking out every little sneak.

Have a TERRIFIC weekend! Take care! Hugs- Glora

Rapunzel Book Cover

One of my favorite things I have used my Silhouette Cameo for so far has been for printing and print and cut projects. Sometimes life is busy and I don't have time to layer all of those cute pieces. In that case I can do the print feature instead. Here is a Rapunzel book cover I made. It slides into the front of one of those plastic notebooks beautifully and dresses it up just right.

I got the tower, Rapunzel princess, and font from Miss Kate Cuttables. I hid the face when I printed it out so that I could add a darling Peachy Keen Stamps face stamp. They just make EVERYTHING cuter!!! I use them whenever I can! The face I used is from the In the Garden face assortment. I colored in her mouth and added some chalk for blush and voila a cute notebook cover.

Speaking of Peachy Keen Stamps their new release of ADORABLE stamps just came out and they are on sale for 20% off. You definitely need to check these out HERE. Also, did you know that their stamp club of the month is now only $19.99 (including shipping, coordinating SVGs and a 20% discount for the rest of that month). Make sure to check that out HERE too.

Have a great day! Hugs- Glora
