Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I know, Valentine's Day hasn't even come and gone yet... but I got my beautiful Peachy Keen stamps in the mail and could not wait to start playing with them. So I imagine you will be seeing a fair share of St Patty day projects mixed in with my Valentine ones for a bit.

Anyway, I think this is the CUTEST leprechaun I have ever seen so I just had to make him up. Seriously, it seemed like he was just smiling at me daring me not to stamp and color him ;).

Do you see that beautiful patterned paper. It is a brand new Peachy Keen Stamps background stamp called Lucky Day Shamrock. I used my favorite background stamp technique and I stamped it with a watermark ink pad. Then I sprinkled it with CLEAR embossing powder, heated it up with my heat gun and VOILA a beautiful, glossy, embossed background. The cute little leprechaun and sentiment come from the Kiss Me Leprechaun stamp set. And for the golden colored piece behind the leprechaun I cut out Emma's XL Label Die and stamped it with one of the coordinating XL Label Border stamps.

Okay that is it for today. I hope you are having a wonderful and lucky day! Take care! Hugs- Glora

What I used for this project was Emma's XL Label Die for the banner pieces and the XL Label Border stamps for the perfect stitched trim on them. The gingers are from the Faceless Gingerbread Doll Large set. I just got these recently and HAD to make sure that I used them before Christmas! I paper pieced and inked everything and then added some chalk and glossy accents. I used some old Sizzix letter dies for the letters and I tied everything together with some pretty twine from The Twinery. I hope you like it and I hope that you have enjoyed the 12 days of Christmas at My Creative Time!

Some Exciting News!!!

Hello sweet crafting friends! I'm SUPER excited to tell you that I am beyond THANKFUL and THRILLED to have been asked by Emma to continue on her My Creative Time Design Team for another term. I love working with Emma she is seriously the best crafty boss I know. She is AMAZING! I LOVE Emma's stamps and dies and I'm thrilled to continue creating with them as well. I also love the friendships that are made being on Emma's team and can't wait to get to know the new members of the team!!!

Emma wanted me to share a little bit about myself.

My name is Glora. I have an amazing and supportive husband and I am the mother of two darling girls. I LOVE staying home full time with my girls and working part time as an accountant. I'm an active member of my church and I play the piano during singing time for the children (3-12 years old). It is the BEST! A friend of mine teaches Zumba and I've been doing it 2-3 times a week for about 16 months. It is seriously addicting and I love it! I am a total and absolute Disney nut and can never get enough of that either!

In my spare time I like to be creating. I've paper crafted for as long as I can remember. I was introduced to the Cricut over 4 years ago and was hooked. A couple of years later I started to find crafting blogs to follow. This introduced me to the awesome world of Peachy Keen Stamps. I fell in LOVE with their stamps immediately. It was through Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog that I found Emma at My Creative Time. I was always excited to learn from Emma and when she started up her Throwback Thursday Challenges I just HAD to join in the fun as often as possible! Last December Emma announced her new stamp line and I was thrilled. I instantly fell in love with her stamp style. They were the best around, in my opinion, so when she asked me to be on her design team I could not believe it!!! It was a dream come true! I'm SO thankful for Emma and for all of you as well. I'm so inspired by each of you and your creative ideas and talents. It is a blessing to call so many of you my friends!

Emma also asked me to create a project to share with you. I decided to use mostly stamps from the October release for this fun little gift bag.

My Creative Time's October Stamp release BLOG HOP!

Welcome to the October My Creative Time Stamp Release Blog Hop! If you came here via the amazing Katie you are in the right spot, if not make sure you go to Emma's blog and get the whole hop in because you aren't going to want to miss a chance of winning some of these darling stamps.

For my project I'm showcasing the All Around Accessories set. I also used the XL Label Border stamps being released today and the XL Label Die. For my project I made another vertical banner. Hey, what can I say I'm getting ahead on my holiday decorating ;).

Here it is:

Here is a close up of the darling Santa suit, I used Fun Flock for the red and the white parts so that it is really soft and fuzzy. I love the way it feels, unfortunately a tiny bit of the red got on some of the white (even though I did them at separate times) but I still like it:

I also added Fun Flock to the Ho Ho Ho (don't you just want to reach through the screen and touch it - LOL)...

Well, that's it for my project for today. Short and sweet so you can get on your way hopping along :).

MCT October Stamp Release Sneak #3

Hello My Creative Time friends. We are already at sneak peek #3. Can you believe it? Today we are going to showcase the new set called XL Label Borders. This set is AWESOME! You know that beautiful XL Label Die, well this set gives you four more beautiful border options to use with it. The Whimsical Calendar Days set gave you one border for this die and this set gives you four more options. I've made either a small shape card or a gift tag using each of these new borders. There are also a hand full of other sentiment stamps that work really well for little gift tags or cards.

This one was a single line outline border. The sentiment is from the You're My Best Buddy stamp set. And the awesome Santa coat is from the All Around Accessories set.

For this gift tag, I used the single line border stamp in addition to a beautiful snow flake border stamp. I heat embossed the snowflakes with a pretty embossing tinsel. The snowman is also from the All Around Accessories set.

Here is the back of one of the tags so you can see the To: and From: stamps that also come with the XL Label Border stamp set.

This one is a mini shape card made with the XL Label Die. I've done a tutorial on this type of card before and will leave a link to it for you. I used the darling confetti border. This border is so cute. I accented some of the confetti pieces with a glitter gel pen. The For You! sentiment is from this XL Label Border stamp set and the darling little dinosaur is from the All Around Accessories stamp set.

And here is the last one...

Yes, that is right a perfectly stitched border. I seriously LOVE these fun border for the XL Label Die. These give you so many options for this die. And as far as the die goes, I can't say enough good about it. I've found that this die works beautifully for: gift tags, mini-cards, accents to a regular card, scrapbooking (journaling tag or embellishment) and I've even used it to make a banner! I LOVE this die and so I really love the extra options on dressing it up.

Here is a picture of this same mini-card showing what it looks like opened up (on the left) and what it looks like closed up (on the right). It is the perfect size for a little note accompanying a present.

If you don't know how to make a shape card out of a die, you can click HERE and it will direct you to a post I have with a short video that demonstrates making shape cards out of dies.

Sorry this post was so long but I just had to try out all of the border options and thought that you might want to see all of them as well.
