I LOVE MCT

Okay, you need to go and check out the awesome new Design Team that Emma has chosen for 2014 HERE. You are going to be impressed! I know most of these gals and just love them to pieces! I was lucky to have served on Emma's team for 3 years. These ladies are going to LOVE working with her!

Here are a few projects that I had sent in to tryout for the new team and since I've never shown them here I wanted to share them with you even though I'm not on the team this time around.

Here is my card,

Here is my 3D project. It was a countdown to Christmas for my kiddos. They LOVED it!

Here is the whole view of it...

And here is a close up so you can see the details:

And last of all my layout:

For this one I used the Build a Banner, Stitched 4x6 Journal Die, 4x4 Journal Die and More, Treats for My Sweet and Piles of Smiles. Happy 2014 to all of you! In a few hours I will have a guest designer post for Peachy Keen Stamps with their new release so make sure to check that out too! Hugs- Glora

Happy Thanksgiving Card - MCT Favorite Stamp of the Month

Today we are sharing the new My Favorite Stamp of the Month sets for My Creative Time. You can purchase both of these sets and get free shipping but ONLY on these two sets. Free shipping for these sets goes until November 15th. The sets are Piles of Smiles and Mixed Holiday Sentiments.

For my card I used a sentiment from Piles of Smiles.

All the products on here are by My Creative Time. I used the Stitched 3x4 Journal die for my shape card (now it will fit inside the awesome Scallop Stitched Envelope Die). I used the egg die from the Hello Spring stamp and die set to make my pumpkin. I totally got this idea from my design team sister Kim. She made a darling pumpkin out of this die quite a while back. You can find it HERE. For the pumpkin stem I used the end of the curly mustache die on the What's Growing On? stamp and die set. I also used the leaf from the Stitched Leaves Dies. And the sentiment comes from Piles of Smiles.

I've used both of these sets several times. I thought I would share a few of my favorite projects using these two Favorite Stamp of the Month sets.

These ones use Mixed Holiday Sentiments:

These ones use Piles of Smiles:

Make sure to stop by Emma's blog for more inspiration using these two sets. Hugs- Glora

3D Wednesday at My Creative Time - Wreaths

***If you are looking for my SIMPLY CRAFTS Challenge click HERE or scroll down***

Hi, well today we are making wreaths for our 3D projects at My Creative Time. Big wreaths, small wreaths, paper wreaths, whatever our hearts desired. I haven't really made wreaths before so I decided to make a small one out of a 3" grapevine wreath.

For this I used the leaf dies from the Piles of Smiles stamp set. I crumpled and  inked them up like some of my design team sisters have shown me how to do. It came out with a fun look. I used the Stitched Oval Die and a sentiment from This and That stamp set.

Make sure to stop by the My Creative Time blog to see some beautiful wreaths. Hugs- Glora

Simply Crafts - Thankful For You Turkey

Well it is once again the first Wednesday of the month which means it is time for another Simply Crafts Challenge. The cut this month is the turkey from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge. I hope you will come and join along in the challenge HERE.

This is my shape card with this cut:

This turkey has a REALLY small head so even though this card is approximately 4.5" squared I had to use the VERY smallest stamp in the Critter Faces - Small stamp assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Piles of Smiles and I used some hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique for it. I also did a bunch of faux stitching. This is a pretty plain cut so I thought it needed some help to make it pop.

Make sure to stop by Pam's blog (HERE). I've already seen her card and it is cute and way too funny. We would love to have you join in the fun at the Simply Crafts Challenge Blog. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

MCT August Stamp Release Day 1

Hello My Creative Time fans, it is time for another stamp and die release and this one is a BIG one! These are seriously going to blow you away. Emma has really outdone herself this time. Today the design team members are showcasing either Treats for my Sweet or Piles of Smiles. I'm showcasing the Thanksgiving set called Piles of Smiles.

Don't you just love those fonts together? I think you are just going to love this set of sentiments, images and dies. I'm excited to use these for my Thanksgiving cards and layouts. The Indian and Pilgrim are from a Cricut Craft Room Exclusive called Classroom October - November. It was the freebie of the week last week. The Indian doesn't really have so many layers but I wanted him to have colorful feathers so I cut it out in a few colors and did the layers myself. I used a Versamarker around the edges and my Gellyroll for some accent dots. The faces are from the Critter Faces stamp assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. I just masked the eyes separate from the mouth so I could position them where I needed to.
