More Baptism Cards

Well I have some more simple baptism cards to share. You will probably see a few more of these as there are still about 4 or 5 more children that will be baptized this year.

I used a floral embossing folder, some prima flowers, adhesive pearls, and a little ribbon. I also used My Creative Time's Stitched Oval Die along with the Many Greetings Stamp set. Have a wonderful Sunday!

For this one I used another Cuttlebug Embossing folder. I used the same baptism sentiment stamp by My Creative Time. I added some butterflies from a die that comes in the Chunky Jar Accessories set.also by My Creative Time. I folded up their wings for some extra dimension. Then I tied it off with some purple ribbon.

Dance Recital Gifts...

Well it is 3D Wednesday at My Creative Time and that worked out great with the fact that my daughter's needed some dance recital gifts for their friends and teacher.

My oldest girl danced to a song called Celebrate You. That was PERFECT because Emma has a stamp that says Celebrate You on her Many Greetings stamp set.

I also used the new Stitched Journal Die and the Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies. I LOVE Emma's products. It seriously made these treats a SNAP to put together.

For my younger daughter one of their songs was called Topsy Turvy Flowers and so I made them all a cute flower clip that they could wear in their hair.

For these I used the sentiment from Floral Sentiments and the Flower Petal Dies.

Sorry about the glare from the plastic on these.

And last of all a quick gift card in a gift card holder for their teacher.

For this I used the Flower Petal Die, the Embossed Gift Card Holder and More Gift Card Sentiments. Whew. I think that is it.

Make sure to check out Emma's blog to see what everyone has made!

Baptism Cards

I figured these cards were good to share on a Sunday. I work with the children in my church on Sundays in what we call Primary. When these children get baptized I like to give them a special little card.

Here is one of my simple boy ones. I used the Inspired Heart Cricut cartridge for this card. I also used the Many Greetings stamp set by My Creative Time.

And here is a simple girl one (sorry the angle isn't terrific). I took a few quick pictures before taking the card to her and this was the 'best' one. I borrowed this card's design from the beautiful baptism card that my talented sister-in-law made for my daughter's baptism.

For this card I again used the Many Greetings stamp set along with the Vintage Stitched Label Die. I used some adhesive pearls, Prima Flowers, satin ribbon and the BloomDot Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

MCT June Release Sneak Peek Day #2

Hi My Creative Time fans, it is time for another awesome My Creative Time release. I'm not really scheduled to post today, but I love these sets so much that I couldn't resist making an extra card to post today.

Isn't this little girl so sweet? I love that she can be holding these balloons or a kite. These stamps are so versatile. I was in a watercoloring mood so I used my watercolor pencils for my card today. I think it gives this a soft whimsical sort of look. The girl and the balloons are both from the Fly Away With Me stamp set from the June release. For the sentiment I used Emma's previously released Many Greetings stamp set. I love this particular thank you sentiment with a bunch of balloons or a bunch of flowers, hey, you could even use it with a bunch of grapes or bananas. I used Hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique and I embossed the pink background with the Polka Dots CuttleBug embossing folder. I just made the polka dots POP a little more by inking them lightly with some white chalk ink. I love to do that with my dry embossing.

Here is a VERY quick video of Nemo swimming along thanks to an Action Wobble:

Throwback Thursday - BUG Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Throwback Thursday Challenge for My Creative Time. For this Throwback Thursday Challenge we were to use a "bug" of any sort off of any older Cricut cartridge. There are TONS of possibilities so I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

I decided to make a bright and colorful friendship card.

This really pretty butterfly is from the Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge. The only drawback was that even cutting it at 3 1/2 inches it was still too small to add a cute little Peachy Keen face too (even the smallest ones were just too big). I made the shape of this card using my Gypsy and a pretty shape from the Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge. All the paper is from a SEI paper pad. And thanks to a reminder from my sweet friend Cindy of Cindy's Scraptastic Designs I added twine around my card. I haven't done that in several months and I had forgotten how pretty it looked until I saw THIS darling card that she made. And of course, that BEAUTIFUL and perfect friendship sentiment is from Emma's Many Greetings stamp set. Isn't that sentiment PERFECT? I had totally forgot that it was even on this set. I'm so glad that I looked at the sentiments on there again, this is definitely a terrific year round - all occasion sort of stamp set. I LOVE it!

I hope you will join in the fun and since this is the last Throwback Thursday before Emma's next stamp release you will definitely want to join in the fun so you have a chance for the AWESOME prize.

I hope you will drop by Emma's blog if you haven't already to see what she and some of the other design team members have ready for you. Have a WONDERFUL day! Hugs- Glora

Monday Madness... Imagine That (Congratulations on Your Baptism)

Hello My Creative Time friends and welcome to another Monday Madness... Imagine That. For these projects we always make something with our Imagine Machines or something Imagine like if we don't have an Imagine. I don't have an Imagine so I used patterned paper and a background stamp to make my card Imagine like.

Emma had asked us to use the colors chocolate, teal and red. I also got to use her Many Greetings stamp set. I LOVE this set because it has a little bit of EVERYTHING on it! This was PERFECT timing for using this stamp set too because my daughter just got baptized on Saturday and it had the perfect sentiment for that. The girl on this card may look a little older than you might expect for a baptism card, but in my church children don't get baptized until they are 8. My little paper doll's darling face is from the Happy :Lashes Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. I also did some clear embossing on her dress with the Sweet Lace background stamp by Market Street Stamps. I really love the white on white effect it gives.

Make sure to hop on over to Emma's blog to see what she and some of the designers have for you today! Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Design Team Thursday at My Creative Time - Anything but a Card

Hello friends, today is a design team Thursday over at My Creative Time and we are all supposed to make anything we want, the only exception is no cards. I love to dress up cute little gift bags and had a lot of fun with Emma's stamps and some cute glittery Minnie stickers that my mom gave me.

I had lots of fun with this. I used Emma's XL Label Die, along with the coordinating border stamp on the Whimsical Calendar Days. The sentiments inside are from her Polka Dot Surprise stamp sets (one of my all time favorites). The little tag at the top of the bag is stamped and cut from the Build-a-Banner stamp and die set. And last but not least the Happy Birthday sentiment on the little tag is from the Many Greetings Stamp set. Other than that, the gift bag was from the dollar store, the stickers are Hallmark Stickeroni's and I added some doodling with my American Crafts Pen.

Thanks for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what Emma and the rest of the Design Team made for today, click HERE to see what everyone made! Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Sneak Peek #3 - My Creative Time September Stamp Release

Wow, this week is flying by. Welcome to day 3 of sneak peeks over at My Creative Time. Today we are showing a die and a stamp set. The Die is called the XL Label Die and the stamp set is called Whimsical Calendar Days. This set is another one that could be used for all sorts of projects.

First I made a really simple birthday card (the beautiful shape around the calendar is the die). I also used Wow! So Many Candles stamp set for the birthday sentiment:

How fun would these be for all sorts of birthday and anniversary cards, not to mention holidays and special events?! Oh yes and scrapbook pages and more! So many possibilities.

Another thought that I had for this stamp and die set was to make a small shape card. Something you could just stick on a gift or hang off the edge of a gift bag.

If you don't know how to make a shape card out of a die and would like to see a short video tutorial click HERE.

This is what the inside looks like:

I made the shaped card out of white cardstock and then I cut an extra die cut in patterned paper to layer on top of the front. I used a heart punch and some glossy accents to highlight the special day.

Piano Birthday Card

I wanted to make a card for a very sweet friend. I work with her at church and she is simply amazing. I wanted to let her know how much I appreciate her. When I was thinking of a card for her I just wanted to do something that looked really classy. I hope I accomplished that plus she does play the piano so that helped with the inspiration as well.

All the cuts are from the Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge. The beautiful music pattern is a stamp. It is called 'Vintage Music' by Market Street Stamps, and the oh so perfect birthday sentiment is from My Creative Time's 'Many Greetings' stamp set. I Inked the edges a little and added a few gold accents and I was done. I hope you are having a wonderful day!
