The Alamo... Scrapping the Little Things

Today is another Scrapping the Little Things at My Creative Time. Our challenge for our project today was to recycle something. Well I finally made some chipboard letters using a cracker box like my DT sister Shar does. I love how nice and thick they turn out.

For my page I did another one from my college choir tour to Texas.

For the main piece I used the die that comes with the Card Sentiments stamp set. It is a 3x3 Tri-Fold Card Die. I just extended the cut and flipped it over so that the fancy edge was on each end when I cut it with my Cuttlebug. I used the Stitched Button dies for the stars. And my chipboard letters (my recycled items) were made using the Lowercase Fun Dies. And last of all I stamped one of the new Journal It stamps and filled it in with my choir tour schedule for that day.

I hope you enjoyed my simple layout. Make sure to drop by Emma's blog and see what everyone else has 'recycled' in their layout today. Hugs- Glora

MCT Sneak Peek Day 1

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the My Creative Time April stamp and die release. If you came to the pre-release blog hop on Saturday you already have a good idea of what goodies are waiting for you. This release is AWESOME.

Today we are sneaking a set called You're Brilliant. I love this set and the darling little light bulb die that comes with it. This die comes with some awesome layering capabilities to give it more dimension as well as a stamp that you can use for the light bulb filament. I decided not to stamp the filament on mine because I wanted to stamp a PKS face. But I LOVE having all the options. Emma just seems to think of everything. I really love this set and I'm certain I will be using it a lot.

I used the already existing 3x3 Trifold Card Die which is included with the Card Sentiments Stamp set. I also used the new You're Brilliant stamp set for the sentiment and light bulb die. The cute face is by PKS and is called In Stitches.

MCT Halloween Blog Hop and Sale

Hello and welcome to the My Creative Time Blog Hop and Sale. If you came her from Cindy L.'s blog than you are in the right spot. If not make sure to start back at Emma's blog so you don't miss out on any of these amazing projects.

My mom needed some money holders for the fish pond at her annual Halloween carnival. She does a fun carnival for the grandkids and always has a fish pond at the end where each kid gets to go through once and get a fun prize. Well some of them are getting a little older and she decided to give them some cash instead of a toy or trinket. I volunteered to help make some little money holders because I knew that Emma's Tri-Fold Card Die would make it a breeze.

I made 8 of these total (2 of each one). They are all for boys or married couples so I kept them pretty simply and fun. For this one I used a ghost from Paper Doll Dress Up and the face is from the Everyday Character Faces by Peachy Keen Stamps. The sentiment and bats came from Treats for My Sweet by My Creative Time and of course the awesome stitched Tri-Fold Card Die which is part of Card Sentiments set by My Creative Time.

Here it is opened up (I just adhered each side to make a little pocket for the money):

We are major Disney fans so I had to make a couple of Disney Halloween ones.

This is a ghost I designed in my Gypsy. And the sentiment comes from the Small Talk stamp set.

Spider Mickey was also designed in my Gypsy. The Trick or Treat sentiment is from the Card Sentiments stamp set. This is the set that comes with the 3x3 Tri Fold Card Die.

This last one has a sentiment from Treats for my Sweet and the cat is from the PKS-CottageCutz Nikkity Knack Cat Die.

Simple and easy but fun. I love how Emma's products work together so beautifully.

Peachy Note Cards

Hello Peachy Keen Fans! Today is my day to post on the Peachy Keen Stamps blog. I have a few fun note-cards to share with you using some of the most recent Peachy Keen releases. I'm excited to have a few of these made up already to give to my daughter throughout the year.

These are 3" x 3" cards made using the awesome new 3x3 Trifold Card Die by My Creative Time. This die comes as part of the new Card Sentiments Stamp set. All of the patterned paper comes from a 6x6 paper pad by My Mind's Eye called School Daze. Here are some close up pictures and information about the Peachy stamp sets I used on them.

All of the stamps for this come from the stamp set Smartie the Owl. There are several sentiments on here, a graduation cap and a girl owl face and a boy owl faces. I love the possibilities with this set. I added two little twine bows for my girl owl and some Glossy Accents on the glasses.

This cute little PB & J sandwich was made using a set called Sandwich Fun. There are two different sandwiches on this set. One is a whole sandwich and the other has a bite out of it like the one above. There are two different sentiments and four fun faces. I used Glossy Accents on the nose and the eyes.

And last of all this little cutie was made using the Recess Jump Rope Girl. She is just too cute and she comes with 3 darling sentiments too.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

My Creative Time August Release Blog Hop

Yay, the day is finally here and you can purchase all of your favorite stamps and dies from the My Creative Time August release. If you came here from Cindy B's awesome blog then you are in the right place if not make sure that you start back at Emma's blog so that you don't miss out on anything.

Today I have a couple of projects to share with you.

First of all we are planning a winter trip to Disneyland. I thought it would be fun to give my children some souvenir cash inside a cute little pocket card. I used the ornament die from the Warm Holiday Fun stamp set, the straight black line is also from that set. To make my ornament a Mickey ornament I cut 2 little circles from the circle die in Emma's Build a Banner Kit. The card was made using the  3x3 Tri-Fold Card die that is included with the Card Sentiments set. And last of all the sentiment came from the It's a Magical Season stamp set.

Here is what it looks like opened up. I just glued the sides down to make a little pocket for the souvenir money.

I also made a scrapbook layout that could be used for the upcoming trip. This is an 8 1/2 x 11 sized layout. I just love how it turned out and wish that this picture did it full justice.

Here is a close up of the tag.

This tag is one of Emma's Tag Dies and the sentiment comes from the It's a Magical Season stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in watermark ink and heat embossed it with red tinsel embossing powder. This stuff is SUPER sparkly in person. I love how it looks. I tied it off with some pretty red and white twine.

Here is a closer look at the Polaroid dies that go down the left side.

I did the same thing to make these Mickey ornaments as I did on the cash card above. I cut the pieces out using some pretty Core Couture Glitter cardstock by Core'dinations. It is also super sparkly in person. The middle picture of Mickey and Minnie with Santa actually came from some sheets of stationary I bought at Disneyland a few years back. The 'believe' sentiment came from the From Our Family to Yours stamp set. The fancy edged Polaroid die comes in the new Just Simply Live stamp set.

And last of all here is a closeup of one of the ornaments in the Polaroid die.

This is the set that inspired my blog hop projects today. It is called It's a Magical Season.
