Beary Happy Birthday Wishes!

My daughter's teacher just had a birthday and she loves bears. I found this cute teddy bear cupcake file that I had picked up from Lettering Delights a while back. The set is called Nancy's Party and it is adorable. I used the teddy bear cupcake and made a cute little shape card with my Silhouette Cameo machine.

The sentiment comes from the Peachy Keen Stamps January 2013 Stamp Kit of the Month, The eyes came from the Everyday Character Faces 1.75" and the nose and mouth came from the Everyday Character Face Parts (all of which are no longer available for purchase). However, there are some very cute Teddy Bear Assortment Face Stamps that are still available (I have them and love them, they were just too small for my project). HERE is a link to the cute teddy bear faces if you are interested.

I wanted to make this card double sided so here is what it looks like opened up. I think it is kind of fun.

I also used some Glossy Accents, an enamel dot and some chalk to finish up my card. I hope you enjoyed it and that you have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Happy 50th Birthday Lorie!

My sweet friend Lorie is celebrating her 50th birthday today! I just had to join in the fun and make her a card for her extra special birthday. She is just the sweetest ever and I hope she loves her big birthday card surprise (lots of people joined in the fun).

I thought this turtle svg was so cute! It is from a set called Nancy's Party that is sold by Lettering Delights. I decided to make it into a shape card.

The adorable little turtle face is from the Pile of 1" Smiles by Peachy Keen Stamps. The '50' stamped on the hat is from Just Simply Live by My Creative Time and the HB2U sentiment along the side is from Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments by My Creative Time.

I used the basic color scheme for the current My Creative Time Challenge and so I'm linking it over there.

I had tons of fun making this card for Lorie and I will be sending it in the mail so she can have it soon. Happy birthday Lorie! I hope it is the BEST day!!!! Love ya!

Have a great one! Hugs- Glora

Happy Birthday Sweetie! - Card

One of my nieces is having a birthday soon. She is in the Mandarin Chinese immersion program at her school and loves Mulan. I thought it would be fun to do a Mulan inspired birthday card for her. I was just trying to figure out the design of my card when the new Peachy Keen Stamps sketch challenge came up. It made it a breeze to put together with the sketch as inspiration.

Below is the sketch (and there is still a ton of time to join in the challenge so you should join in too). You can find the details HERE.

PKC-14-09

And here is the card that I made. I changed things a tiny bit but stuck pretty close to the sketch.

I got the Mulan inspired cut file from Too Cute By Jessica's Pretty Little Princesses 2. The perfect little face I stamped on is from Peachy Keen Stamps Princess Face Assortment. The oval die and sentiment are both from My Creative Time. The oval comes from the Surprise Pop-Out Card die and the sentiment is from Celebrate Good Times.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

You Light Up My Life Tags

I'm cutting one more challenge close to the deadline. I wanted to join in the Peachy Keen Stamps linky party. I made some tags with one of the new sets.

I love this little light bug. Isn't it darling? It comes from the new A Little Light Camping. It is such a darling set and comes with the perfect sentiments too! I masked off part of the sentiment and just stamped 'let it shine.'

I think this flashlight is super cute too. It comes on this set too and so does the sentiment.

The tag die is by My Creative Time and is called Stitched Round Tab, Arrow and Tag Die. Here are both of the tags together.

I colored these real quick with my Spectrum Noir markers. I'm having fun experimenting with them a little here and there! I hope you have a terrific rest of your weekend. Hugs- Glora

It is a s'more shape card that I created using a freebie file from SVG Cuts. I did modify it slightly so that it would have a graham cracker and a little ooie gooey chocolate on the top too. That darling face is by Peachy Keen Stamps. It is one of their larger face assortments called PK-1202 The Moodies 2 1/4" face assortment. And of course the cute and fun sentiment is from the new release by Craftin Desert Diva's called Destination Fun. Other than that I did lots of inking with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks and some accent dots with my Gelly Roll pens. A touch of glossy accents for the eyes and I was done.

Here is a closeup of the sentiment. Pretty cute huh?

Teddy Bear Valentine

Well I finally took some time to put together my entry for the sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. I got my new stamps and had to ink up one of these SUPER cute teddy bears.

Here is the sketch:

PKC-14-01

The adorable teddy bear is a steal of a deal this month and can be found HERE. It is called PK-1372 Teddy Bear Love.

Isn't that bear SWEET?! I used several My Creative Time Dies too. I used the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die to make my own stitched shapes for the card (the background mat and the two rounded rectangle pieces). I also used the Stitched Scallop Heart Die Set, and the Stitched Sweetheart and XOXO Dies. I saw Ruthie use these two sets together and knew I wanted to do it too.

I used some glossy accents and some chalk to finish up my card.

I also want to enter this card in the linky party at Craftin Desert Divas. I used green, pink and white from the color inspiration photo.

Have a great day! Hugs- Glora

Happy Valentine's Day

Well I know I promised I was going to join more challenges but it has been a CRAZY busy month. I did (thankfully) find a chance to sneak in a quick card last night. I had two challenges in mind with this card. The first is the Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons LOVE challenge and the second is the My Craft Spot's polka dot pattern challenge.

I made a shape card using my Silhouette Cameo. I used the print and cut feature. The files I used are all by Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon Graphics. I used the Heart Balloon Cutting File, the Fourth of July Kids Cutting Files for the sweet little girl, and the Pumpkin Spice Circles and Spots digital patterned paper for my polka dot balloon and banner pieces. I used a die by My Craft Spot for the sentiment banner. It is called the Ribbon Banners Wavy die. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Puffy Hearts Just For You stamp set and the little girl's darling face is from the Sweet and Innocent face stamp assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps.

I hope you enjoyed my little card for today. Hugs- Glora

Wish Big... Big Foot Birthday Card

Oops, I'm a little late. I had the wrong day down for Pam and my's cut challenge but now I'm here. Pam chose the cut for today and it was the Big Foot from off of the Campin Critter Cricut cartridge.

I used the Sweet and Silly Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps for the face and I used Wow So Many Candles by My Creative Time for the sentiments. Other than that I used some gel pen faux stitching and some glossy accents.

Make sure to stop by Pam's blog HERE to see what she did with this cute image. Hugs- Glora

PKS & KaDoodle Bug Fan Page Blog Hop

This is my first time doing a FaceBook fan page blog hop. Please feel free to comment on my project here on my blog but know that your comments will only count towards the prizes if you comment on the FaceBook fan pages of each participant. To start the hop go to KaDoodle Bug fan page HERE.

There are some fun prizes up for grabs if you join the hop on FaceBook, so make sure to check it out.

I made a fun easel card using a file by Too Cute By Jessica called Costume Babies 2. These files are retiring soon and you can get them for an awesome deal of $1 a set right now. I'm not sure how long they will be available so if you like them hop right over and get them HERE.

This is what the card looks like in the easel position. I used a few different Peachy Keen Stamp sets for this card. The baby's face is from the In the Garden Face Assortment, the pumpkin face is from the Peachy Keen/Cottage Cutz stamp and die set called Pumpkin Trio and the sentiment is from the September 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month.

Here is what the card looks like when you pull it out of the envelope.

I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette for this card and I seriously love using it this way. I did some faux stitching to help the image pop and I added some chalk to the cheeks and some Glossy Accents to the eyes as well.

Thanks for stopping by! HUGS- Glora

Dance in the Rain!

Today my crafty friend Pam and I are doing our monthly cut challenge. I chose this month and it is the little rain girl from the new Create a Friend Cricut cartridge. I'm totally in love with this cartridge and hope to be using it A LOT in the future.

Here is what I did with the cut:

This is a shape card that I made on my Gypsy. The sweet sentiment is from a My Creative Time stamp set called I'm Here for You Rain or Shine. Once again I used my new favorite face set called In the Garden Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. I inked the edged and pop-dotted her up for dimension. I also added some hemp twine.

I can't wait to see what Pam did with this cut and I hope you will check it out too. Click HERE to go to Pam's blog. Hugs- Glora

Thank You for Being Such a Doll!

***If you are looking for my tag for the My Creative Time Tag it Tuesday segment scroll down or click HERE***

Today I am posting on the Peachy Keen Stamps blog and I'm using some AWESOME Peachy Keen Stamps and some beautiful Timeless Twine.

You can do so many fun things with twine. One of my favorite things to do is to add it for a realistic feature on a card. I also just love it for bows, accents, framing, you name it. It adds such a fun little touch to a crafting project.

Today I made a shape card to share with you.

These cuts were all done on my Silhouette Cameo with svgs from Lettering Delights. My card base is from the Bowl Full of Cherries cut it set and the cute rag doll is from the Rag Doll cut it set. Did you notice that I used twine for my rag doll's hair. Isn't that fun? For the hair I used the red/pink mix called Strawberry Cupcake. Then for the twine framing around the circle layers I used a pretty aqua/white/red mix called Firecracker.

For my darling rag doll face I used PK-673 Rag Doll Faces. This is an awesome set where the eyes, nose and mouths can be mixed and matched to your hearts content. The sentiment that I stamped around the card base is from two different sets. The 'thank you' that I used is from PKSC-13 the January 2013 stamp kit of the month. Then the 'for being such a doll' sentiment comes from PK-124 Thank You Dolls.

I used some Glossy Accents to add some shine to her eyes and her shoes. I finished it off with some faux stitching and a little chalk blush.

I hope you are enjoying these fun twine and stamp projects that have been shared on the Peachy Keen Stamps blog so far. Make sure to keep checking them out, these ladies have come up with SOME awesome projects. You will not be disappointed. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

PKS August Release Sneak - 3 Little Kittens

Welcome to the 3rd day of Peach Keen Stamps sneak peeks. For my project today I made a card using a new stamps set called I Didn't Do It

The first kitten on the left is made using the face that is included in this set, the other two are using faces from the August 2013 SKOTM. They are a little larger face stamp but I think they still look super sweet on these kittens. I paper pieced and chalked my kitties and then I added some glossy accents to the eyes. The girl kitten in the middle got a little hemp twine bow in her hair. I didn't stamp a sentiment because it was just a note card for a cat loving friend of mine. The paper is from the Pet Mat Stack by DCWV.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak of mine. Make sure to check out the other sneaks on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. Hugs- Glora

Sunny Hello

Today starts a new Designer Challenge at My Creative Time. Amy is hosting this challenge and the theme is Summer! It has been so hot here so I totally thought a sunshine card would be perfect. I actually made two cards.

The card is 4.25" x 4.25". For the sunshine image I used an SVG from Miss Kate's Cuttables called Summer Background Shapes. I stamped on a face from the Piles of Smiles 1" face assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. The perfect little 'hello' sentiment comes from My Creative Time's new Tab Notes Stamp Set. I think it make for a fun yet simple summer note card.

Here is version #2:

This is a standard A2 size card. I used the same cut file from Miss Kate's Cuttables but I stretched it width wise to make it 5.5". The face for this one is from the In the Garden Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. The cute and swirly 'hi' sentiment is from the Teeny Tag Greetings set by My Creative Time.

Make sure to stop by Emma's blog to see Amy's challenge and to link up your own summer project as well. Hugs- Glora

Congratulations on Your New Baby Boy!

Happy Monday, today I'm designing over at the Peachy Keen blog and I have a shape card to share with you.

I will be getting a new nephew this week and was excited to make a special card for the occasion.  I made this card using my Silhouette. I love how easy it is to make shape cards with a perfect little shadow using that machine. The svg file is from Lettering Delights and is from the Playful Stringbeans set. The little stitched die that has the sentiment stamped on it, is a die from the Chocolate Greetings set by My Creative Time. The oh so cute face is from the In the Garden Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. The darling sentiment is from the May 2013 Stamp Kit of the Month, also by Peachy Keen Stamps. I added some faux stitching with my Sakura Gelly Roll Pen, you can also pick those up at Peachy Keen Stamps. I finished it off with a few buttons, a little bit of chalk for the cheeks and some Glossy Accents for the eyes.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs- Glora
