Accordion Birthday Card

My sweet husband just celebrated his birthday and I made this card for him. While I was at it I incorporated a couple of my favorite challenges. I followed the sketch at Peachy Keen Stamps and I did the 'no patterned paper' challenge at My Creative Time.

Here is the Peachy Keen Stamps sketch (I'm flipping it to show you how I interpreted the sketch).

Here is my card:

He he, isn't it cute. My husband plays the accordion and so when I saw this cut in the Musical Instruments set, in my Kawaii-a-Bunga Bundle from Lettering Delights, I was thrilled. I decided to use the print and cut feature on it. I printed on some pretty textured American Crafts cardstock. It really gives it a nice texture and look. My accordion is on an Action Wobble and looks pretty darn cute wobbling around. I stamped it with a Boy Mates Face stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps. The sentiment and music notes come from My Creative Time's, Wow! So Many Candles stamp set. The card base itself was cut using My Creative Time's 4x4 Journal Die + More die set.

The card was a success here. I hope you like it too!

Have a great day! Hugs- Glora

MCT Designer Challenge... Tracy

Hello My Creative Time friends, are you ready for another designer challenge? Today Tracy is our designer host and she wants us to use GOOGLY eyes on our project. I can't wait to see what you all create with googly eyes.

I wanted to make a googly eye ghost, it just seemed fun and appropriate. I've been wanting to use this Sandwich Fun face from PKS on a ghost ever since I got it. The eyes on the stamp almost look like googly eyes so I think they look great on this particular face. I also have the ghost on an Action Wobble so he is EXTRA cute and interactive. The candy pattern was made using a background stamp called Candy Background by PKS. The OH so perfect sentiment is from the Treats for My Sweet stamp set by My Creative Time.

I hope that you will take a chance and play along. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Make sure to stop by the My Creative Time blog to see what everyone else has made using GOOGLY eyes. Hugs- Glora

Peachy Keen September Release Sneak Peek

Hello friends. I hope you are ready for some seriously ADORABLE fall stamps because that is what you will be getting in the September Stamp Kit of the Month from Peachy Keen Stamps.

For my card I used the little bat and the jack-o-lantern that you can find on this set.

The cute little bat was stamped on purple cardstock and inked up with some white chalk ink. I put some chalk on his cheeks and some glossy accents on his eyes and fangs. He is also on an Action Wobble (I had to cut off some of the adhesive from around the wobble to make it fit but there was still plenty to keep him on there for a good long time). The darling little Jack-O-Lantern is stamped on orange cardstock and inked up with some orange ink around the edges. I added glossy accents to his eyes, nose and mouth. I love how it makes it look like the flame is really glowing in side him. The sentiment is also from this set. The paper I used for the background already came with this scene on it I just added a few stars and some faux stitching. The paper is from a DCWV Halloween mat stack.

Here is a quick video showing the bat on an Action Wobble and of the card in general.

Make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen blog so you can see all of the other awesome projects made with the new release. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Hi crafting friends. It is time for another Wobble Wednesday Challenge and the theme for this will be YOU CAN FLY. I can't wait to see what people come up with, if you want to play along look for the link and details at the Wobble Wednesday Challenge Blog.

My project is a very simple baby thank you card. I LOVE the dimension and action that the Action Wobble gives the project.

Hope You Have a Turtley Tubular Birthday!

Hi and welcome to my Wobble Wednesday post. I made this card a while ago and gave you a glimpse at it but here is a more detailed look at my turtle card from the Peachy Keen Stamps and Core'dinations Blog Hop.

The card base comes from the Create a Critter cartridge sized at 4.25 x 5.5". The background rectangle was hand cut at 3.5" x 4.75". This awesome turtle is also from the Create a Critter cartridge. I cut him at 2". The sentiment for this card come from the June 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month by Peachy Keen Stamp, I just masked parts of a few sentiments to make just what I wanted. This sweet little face came from the Snow Cuties stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps. All of the papers are Core'dinations. I embossed the brown background with the Herringbone CuttleBug embossing folder and sanded it with the Core'dinations Sander. This cute turtle is on an Action Wobble too. I inked all of the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and I also did a lot of faux stitching with my Sakura GellyRoll Pen.

I hope you will join in the Wobble Wednesday Challenge if you get a chance. The challenge is to use the colors green & brown.

Have a Turtley Tubular day! Hugs- Glora

Wobble Wednesday - SUMMER

Hi, I hope you are all having a great day. It is time for another Wobble Wednesday Challenge and it is my turn to choose the theme. I went with SUMMER. School is almost out and the sun has been shining nice and bright so I thought this would be a perfect theme.

If you would like to learn more about the challenge and join in the fun click HERE.

For my project I made a fun and simple tag.

The beautiful tag is a new die by My Creative Time called Tag Dies. The sentiments are both by My Creative Time. They are called Have Fun in the Sun and This and That! The sweet little sunshine stamp is by Peachy Keen Stamps (You Are My Sunshine), you can also purchase some Action Wobbles there and at the Queen's Royal Shoppe. And the lovely seam binding ribbon and hemp are from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Have FUN in the SUN everyone! Hugs- Glora

Everyday Cricut Project - Dancing Leprechaun

Hi crafty friends. Sorry things have been SO quiet on here this week. Life has just been good and busy and it hasn't left a whole lot of time for crafting. The little I have got done is for the upcoming PKS Stamp of the Month release. You will NOT want to miss that so make sure you are checking in on the sneaks the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of April.

Today I'm sharing my St. Patty's Day card that I made over at Everyday Cricut a couple of weeks ago. I figured I better get it posted over her before March is over ;).

This is a pretty simple shape card that I made in my Gypsy using the Lacey Labels Cricut Lite cartridge and the Simply Charmed cartridge.

I really LOVE the leprechauns on the Simply Charmed cartridge. They are just too sweet. I stamped his face with a stamp from the February 2012 Stamp of the Month set by Peachy Keen Stamps and those absolutely PERFECT St Patty's Day sentiments are from My Creative Time's I Believe in Leprechauns stamp set.

I added lots of stitching and doodling with my Sakura Gellyroll pen and that darling little leprechaun is on an Action Wobble, so he really is doing a little jig. If you haven't seen an Action Wobble in motion before I have a really quick 20 second video that you can watch below.

Thanks for taking a look at my project. I hope your day is TERRIFIC!!!! Hugs- Glora

Wobble Wednesday Challenge #3

Hello crafting friends. Today it is my turn to host the Wobble Wednesday Challenge. For this challenge we are adding an Action Wobble to any sort of a bunny. You can use stamps, die cuts, SVG's, Cricut cuts, whatever. I hope you will come on over and join in the fun HERE.

Here is my simple and fun card. I love this little wobbling bunny. This adorable bunny is a die by Peachy Keen Stamps and CottageCutz. It is called Easter Basket Bunny. She comes with two face choices and adding the eggs and basket is totally optional. I cut the bunny out in kraft cardstock and used a Versarmarker to accent her. I also added a little chalk and a Gellyroll for accents. The basket and paws were cut in pink and the eggs in white (I just inked them up and decorated them with my Gellyroll). This awesome sentiment is from Emma's Happy Hunting stamp set. It seemed the perfect fit for this cute little bunny and basket of eggs.

Well, I hope you will join in the fun of this challenge! Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

One More Leap Day Project

I needed to throw together some quick little goody bags on Wednesday and so I thought I would go with the "frog" Leap Day theme.

These are VERY simple because they are just going to want the candy! This little frog is from the Animal Kingdom cartridge which means I finally got to use my new stamps that I got from Peachy Keen Stamps called Animal Faces. I think this frog turned out SO cute, oh yes and did I mention that he WOBBLES! Yes, I couldn't resist putting him on a wobble. Peachy Keen Stamps is selling Action Wobbles again and they are seriously SO much fun. The perfect "jumping for JOY" sentiment is from My Creative Time's Just a Little Note to Say stamp set. I hand wrote happy leap day. I also included a little note that said that I hoped they had a WHOPPER of a day (cheesy I know, but I wanted to tie it all together).

Have a super day! Hugs- Glora

PS I just found out about an AWESOME sale over at Peachy Keen Stamps. 25% off your order (of almost everything) RIGHT NOW through 8pm CST on Sunday March 4th. Happy Shopping!

I know a lot of people hesitate on what to order first if they have not ever ordered from Peachy Keen Stamps before. If you are a die cutter and are looking for some awesome faces to start your collection, I PERSONALLY suggest the following 3 in this order 1. Everyday Character Faces, 2. Critter Faces in Medium or Large, 3. Wide Eyed Kids... All 3 of these sets give you both boy and girl faces and then the critter one also gives you a huge variety of animal faces.

Have a Sham-Rockin' Day!!!!

I've made a VERY simple note card for you today.

This little cutie shamrock (with all its perfect stitching) is from the February 2012 Stamp of the Month set by Peachy Keen Stamps. I think he is just too cute! I added an Action Wobble to the back of him so that he could wobble around, in fact my 3 year old has tested him out A LOT already. Did you know that Peachy Keen Stamps sell Wobbles? You can check them out HERE. They really make for a fun and interactive card. Children love wobble cards, but I've found that adults have a blast with them too. The perfect sentiment for my rocking shamrock comes from My Creative Time's I Believe in Leprechauns stamp set.

I've added just a SHORT video for those of you who haven't seen an Action Wobble in action before...

Have a Sham-Rockin' Day friends! Hugs- Glora

Simply Crafts with Glora and Pam - Turkey Cut

Hello friend, it is the first Wednesday of the month again which means it is time for another Simply Crafts Challenge.

If you missed out on the big announcement last month, Pam (my crafting bestie) and I made our personal cut challenge into a challenge that you could join in too. Please come and join us at the Simply-Crafts Challenge Blog! We would love to have you play along!

This month I got to choose the cut and Pam sponsored the prize. The cut is the turkey from Create a Critter. I took a sneak peek at Pam's and it is TOTALLY cute and creative . I love what she did with it! You will have to hop on over to her blog HERE to get the details.

Here is mine:

I just LOVE this turkey cut and with that sentiment you have to know that she is sitting on an Action Wobble to make her wobble around! This is a shaped easel card, here is a little bit of a side view so you can see it better.

Hop on over to the challenge blog for more details and to see what a lucky random participant will win. Have a great one! Hugs- Glora

Here is a REALLY quick video of the turkey wobbling and my husband and daughter gobbling - LOL. Enjoy!

Whimsical Wednesday - Fall Cutie

Yay, it is time for another wonderful Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. Today we all made projects with a fall cutie (a little fall themed animal). This was Cathryn's idea and I love it.

I made a shaped card and my fall cutie is a little indian fox.

The fox and tee-pee are cut from the Create a Critter cartridge. The little indian headpiece is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. I just sized it up for the fox in my Gypsy. The yellow and green ribbon on the tee pee is some more beautiful crinkle ribbon by Patsy at the Prairie Bird Boutique. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Mixed Holiday Sentiments.

I had a little extra fun with the fox and used some more fun flock. I go in phases with that stuff, but I seriously love the way it looks when I take the time to use it. Here is a close up so you can see the texture a little better. A few of you had asked what fun flock is, or where to get it. Well I've seen it called fun flock and flocking and it is usually located right close to the embossing powders and such at your local scrapbooking store. Kimberly from My Craft Spot has some awesome tutorials on using fun flock so I'm going to link to one of those post HERE if you are interested.

Today, we are all doing a second project featuring stamps by Tanner, AKA: Mr. Cricut Crazy. I had the chance to work with Tanner on Emma's design team for a while and I'm just loving this Halloween stamp set I bought from him. These stamps are manufactured by Peachy Keen Stamps so they are awesome quality stamps!

For my card I used his Halloween Town set. I just love this 2 cute 2 spook sentiment.

This is another shaped card, the images come from the Simply Charmed cartridge. My only regret on this card is the stitching between the gray and the black parts of the headstone. I added the stitching before I had glued the gray piece down and then I truly realized how bad I am at drawing a straight line without a guide. Lesson learned on this one!!! Maybe you will humor me and just say that it looks like an old decrepit sort of headstone, so the pieces aren't straight anyway - LOL! The cute little face on the ghost is by Peachy Keen Stamps Monster Mash face assortment. The green bow is made with more of Patsy's ribbon and as mentioned before the darling sentiment is from Tanner's Halloween Town stamp set.

Another fun thing about this card is that the ghost is on an Action Wobble. She is so cute wobbling around on there. In fact, the very first project I EVER made with an Action Wobble over a year ago was on a ghost. It is a perfect motion for these kinds of things.

The prizes for this challenge are some ribbon from The Prairie Bird Boutique and one of Tanner's Stamp sets. I hope you will find some time to join in the fun. This is my last challenge being a part of the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge blog and I wanted to thank Stephanie and all the other sweet ladies on the team for their support and friendship! XOXO to all of you and I will still be stopping by to visit your blogs!!! You are all SO talented! Hugs- Glora

Tanner Turkey is a Cutie

If you are looking for the My Creative Time Sneak Peek #1 scroll down or click HERE.

I made this card using the current Peachy Keen Challenge sketch. And I just had to use the darling Tanner Turkey from the newest Peachy Keen release. I was lucky enough to win him and LOVE him so much. If I wouldn't have won him I definitely would have bought him!!! This little cutie was drawn by the sweet and talented Lorie Souther of (The Thinkin' Spot). If you haven't seen the new stamps she drew you definitely need to stop by the Peachy Keen store and take a look.

I tried something a little different when I colored him up. I started with some high quality kraft cardstock as my coloring base. I kind of like how the fibers on the kraft cardstock show through. It was a fun experiment. I also colored him up like I would have in grade school. We always used bright colors on the tail feathers so red, orange and yellow it was. Oh yes and he is also on an Action Wobble and looks SO cute wobbling around.

I hope to see you tomorrow for another sneak peek from My Creative Time's 11th stamp release. Hugs- Glora

Hello friends, it is the first Wednesday of the month which means it is time for a cut challenge between me and my crafting bestie Pam (Simply-Pam).

I am super excited because Pam and I have decided to let you join in on our cut challenge fun. And yes, there will even be a small prize for a random winner. The new challenge blog is called Simply Crafts Challenge Blog. Click HERE to go and see Pam's project and the full details on the challenge.

Pam chose the cut this month which is a little monster off of the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge.

Here is my card with this cut:

She is on an Action Wobble and my littlest one LOVES this little monster. Can't you just see her wobbling back and forth. The shape for this card is from the Happy Haunting cartridge and I just welded it together in my Gypsy at 4.25 x 5.5". The cute little face is by Peachy Keen Stamps and is called Monster Mash. The cute orange and black twine is by Trendy Twine and is so cute on Halloween projects. And that super beautiful sentiment and die combo is by Emma at My Creative Time. The die is called the Stitched Oval Die and the stamp set is Mixed Holiday Sentiments.

If you decide to join in on this fun challenge, the cut is on page 49 of the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge. If you do play along you will have a chance to win the following (pictured below): 15 yards of the orange and black Trendy Twine, The Skeleton Scroll Cuttlebug embossing folder and some Halloween colored brads by SEI. Just make sure to link up on the Simply Crafts Challenge Blog within the next two weeks and we will pick a random winner.

My Creative Time September Release Blog Hop

Well after lots of fun sneak peeks, the My Creative Time September Release Blog Hop is here! I hope you have enjoyed all of the projects and inspiration this week. Emma has made another amazing set of stamps and dies. If you came here from the amazingly talented Katie's blog you are in the right spot. If not, make sure that you go back to Emma's blog and do the whole hop because there will be giveaways at every single stop!

For the blog hop I get to share with you the Whimsical Calendar Days stamp set and the XL Label Die. These are both amazing products. First I made a card:

The ghost is from the Smiley Cards Cricut cartridge and her face is stamped with Monster Mash Faces stamps by Peachy Keen Stamps, he is also on an Action Wobble. He looks so cute floating around through the night sky with the help of his Action Wobble. I used a few extra stamp and die sets for the card. The 'Happy Halloween' and the 'October 31st' stamps are both from Emma's Mixed Holiday Greetings. And the little die at the bottom is the Curly Label Die and the border for the die comes from the Inspirational Words {Accents} stamp set.

Now onto the NEW items that I used on this card! The beautiful calendar is from the Whimsical Calendar Days stamp set, the die it is mounted on is the XL Label Die (this die is a nice size - approximately 3.25" x 3" - if I measured correctly).

The XL Label Die is a good size and I think it could make a darling banner shape, so  you get to see a banner too. Here is the whole banner, it is about 4 1/2 feet in length (sorry about the picture, this was as good as it got, but at least you get the general idea of how it looks all together), it is seriously SUPER cute in person:

Here are some close ups:

Here is a close up of one of the ghosts. For the faces I used the Everyday Character Face Parts by Peachy Keen stamps. The eyes really pop with some glossy accents on them. The little note in her hand is a stamp from the Mixed Holiday Greetings stamp set. The ghost is from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge and is about 6" tall.

Here you can see the beautiful die really well. The letters mounted on it are cut at 2.25" from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge and the paper is Core'dinations. I love the glitter. The banner is strung together with some beautiful orange and black Halloween twine made by Trendy Twine.

Alright I've kept you long enough. Now onto the exciting stuff!!!

***GIVEWAY ALERT***

For my giveway today, I am giving away the stamp set I showcased, which is the Whimsical Calendar Days! All you have to do to be entered to win it is leave me a comment here & you will have until Sunday at midnight to do so! EASY PEASY!!! GOOD LUCK! :)

My Creative Time Design Team Day - "Shaped Card"

Hello friends. Here we are with another fun Design Team day over at My Creative Time. Today Emma wanted us to make a shaped card. For my card I used the "All Around Christmas" stamp set.

I just LOVE that darling Merry Christmas sentiment on Emma's All Around Christmas Stamp set. It is such a fun font. I love it! And if you have followed my blog for a while you will know that I can't make a 'rocking horse' project without attaching it to an Action Wobble. It is just the perfect motion for these sorts of things. Although they can be fun to add to just about anything. And as always I made a VERY short video demonstrating how cute this little elf looks rocking on his rocking horse.

Make sure to drop by the My Creative Time blog and see what Emma and the other Design Team members have made. I'm certain there will be some beautiful inspiration to be seen. Have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day! HUGS- Glora

My Teacher ROCKS!

What a crazy and fun week this has been and boy has it flown by. I have a feeling this weekend is going to go even faster. Anyway, I wanted to share another one of the cards that I made for my daughter's teacher this week. I will probably be showing some more of my Teacher Appreciation cards/projects next week.

I totally had fun with this. That super cute background note paper is an awesome background stamp called Vintage Notepad by Market Street Stamps. The perfect and adorable sentiment is from the My Teacher Rocks! stamp set by My Creative Time. And that super cute bear is the Peachy Keen- CottageCutz Tear Bear. She is SUCH a cutie! The bear is also attached to an Action Wobble so that she really rocks. I didn't do a short video this time, but I'm sure you can imagine it wobbling :).

A couple of reminders:

1. I listed the winners from my birthday week on Monday. I have heard from all but two of the winners. If you haven't looked to see if you were one of them then check HERE. The winner's have until Monday night to contact me. If not, I will pick two new winners.

Birthday Celebration Day 6 - Action Wobbles and Some Great News!

*****If you are looking for the Royal Wedding Blog Hop scroll down to the next post or click HERE*****

Hi and welcome to my 6th and final day of my birthday celebration week!!! I have loved having you celebrate with me. It has been so much fun! This post is going up just a little later than the other's this week and it is because I have some great news to share. I am so grateful and very excited to share with you that Emma (My Creative Time) has asked me to continue to be on her design team for another term. She is wonderful and amazing to work with and I'm blessed to know her. Thank you so much Emma! Click HERE if you want to know who else is on Emma's new design team.

Today I am spotlighting Action Wobbles! I was super lucky to be part of their 'focus group' last fall, thanks to my good friend Pam (Simply-Pam). I got to try these out before they were ever sold and I LOVE them. They definitely make for a fun and interactive card. They can be used on anything and be fun (like the card below), but I especially love to use them on things that might actually have that kind of movement, for example: a rocking horse, a fish, a kite in the air, a balloon, etc. Anyway, my point is I love them!

This card is pretty simple, but I definitely wanted it that way. It is for my nephew who is serving a Spanish speaking mission for my church. I think he will love the wobble cake and the super cute Spanish sentiment from Emma's Wow! So Many Candles stamp set.

GIVEAWAY! I am so happy to be able to offer a 25 count package of Action Wobbles to two different commenter's on this post!

Birthday Week RULES:

#1: Each day you will have up to three chances to enter for that day's prize. The first way is to simply make a comment on that day's post. You do not have to be a follower of my blog, but I would love it if you wanted to. The second and third ways will vary each day, but you will have to make a SEPARATE comment for each entry for it to count, if you group them all together it will only count as one entry for that day.

#2: If you win I will only be mailing to a US or Canadian address. I will be mailing out a lot of prizes next week and I need to keep the shipping costs reasonable, I hope you will understand.

#3: You must contact me to claim your prize. I will announce all the winners on Monday, May 2nd and you will have one week to contact me with your mailing information.

#4: All entries for the whole week will be combined together for a chance to win the Disney/Pixar Cars Cricut cartridge (pictured below).

Bonus Entry #1: 'Like' Action Wobble on FaceBook. Click HERE to go to their page. Then come back and leave me a comment telling me that you 'like' them. If you already like their FaceBook Page go ahead and leave me a comment telling me so.

Bonus Entry #2: How did you first hear about Action Wobbles? And what is the most creative way you have seen them used? Leave me a separate comment below with you answer.

I have a super short video of this birthday cake wobbling...

Birthday Celebration Day 3 - The Twinery

Hello and welcome to day three of my virtual birthday party. I'm having so much fun and I'm so excited about the awesome prizes some of you are going to win this week. Today I'm spotlighting The Twinery. I absolutely LOVE their baker's twine. Last fall I happened upon some baker's twine at a local scrapbooking store. They sold it, by the yard, in lots of different colors. I bought some to try out. While using the twine I discovered that there was one kind that I liked better than the rest. The colors were brighter it seemed and the twine was a little thicker or more plush. I found out that this twine was from The Twinery. I bought their sampler pack online and the rest is history.

I wanted to try something fun and different with the twine for my project today. I hope you like it :).

The Twinery has been so amazing and generous to work with. They have donated a Colorful Bunch Sampler Pack to one lucky commenter. This is 15 yards of each of their beautiful colors of baker's twine (a total of 165 yards of twine). Isn't it BEAUTIFUL?

The rules remain the same for each giveaway this week so if you need to check up on any of those details click on yesterday's link HERE.

Just make a comment under this post for your first entry and then there are two bonus entries too.

Bonus Entry #1: 'LIKE' The Twinery on FaceBook (click HERE to go to their page). Then come back and leave me a comment here saying that you did so. (If you already 'like' them simply state so in a comment below).

Bonus Entry #2: "Follow" The Twinery Blog (click HERE to go to their blog). Then come back and leave me a comment saying that you have. (If you already follow them simply state so in a comment below).

ALSO, just a reminder that you have all week through (Sunday May 1st) to make a comment on any/all of the posts for the week.

Here is an incredibly short video showing my 'rocking' horse. I can't have a rocking horse on a project without attaching it to an Action Wobble - LOL.
