Beary Happy Birthday Wishes!

My daughter's teacher just had a birthday and she loves bears. I found this cute teddy bear cupcake file that I had picked up from Lettering Delights a while back. The set is called Nancy's Party and it is adorable. I used the teddy bear cupcake and made a cute little shape card with my Silhouette Cameo machine.

The sentiment comes from the Peachy Keen Stamps January 2013 Stamp Kit of the Month, The eyes came from the Everyday Character Faces 1.75" and the nose and mouth came from the Everyday Character Face Parts (all of which are no longer available for purchase). However, there are some very cute Teddy Bear Assortment Face Stamps that are still available (I have them and love them, they were just too small for my project). HERE is a link to the cute teddy bear faces if you are interested.

I wanted to make this card double sided so here is what it looks like opened up. I think it is kind of fun.

I also used some Glossy Accents, an enamel dot and some chalk to finish up my card. I hope you enjoyed it and that you have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Happy Birthday Kathy!

Um, lets see if I remember how to even do a blog post anymore - LOL. I have continued crafting as time allows but just haven't made the time to post them on my blog. Maybe I will be better at posting soon, but for now, I wanted to make sure that I shared a card that I made for a VERY special lady. Kathy the owner and artist of Peachy Keen Stamps is having a birthday. She is such an amazing and sweet lady and I just couldn't let the day pass without letting her know how much I love and appreciate her! Happiest of birthdays Kathy!!!!

Kathy's face stamps just make me smile. She has such an awesome variety of expressions and looks. This darling face on this little girl is from the Christmas in July Face Assortment. The Happy Birthday sentiment is also by Peachy Keen Stamps and is from the Darren and Laura Lee stamp set. The cute stitched border comes from My Creative Time's die called Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and More. The darling little girl and background are both from Lettering Delights.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and a very Merry Christmas too!

Hugs- Glora

Teddy Bear Valentine

Well I finally took some time to put together my entry for the sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. I got my new stamps and had to ink up one of these SUPER cute teddy bears.

Here is the sketch:

PKC-14-01

The adorable teddy bear is a steal of a deal this month and can be found HERE. It is called PK-1372 Teddy Bear Love.

Isn't that bear SWEET?! I used several My Creative Time Dies too. I used the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die to make my own stitched shapes for the card (the background mat and the two rounded rectangle pieces). I also used the Stitched Scallop Heart Die Set, and the Stitched Sweetheart and XOXO Dies. I saw Ruthie use these two sets together and knew I wanted to do it too.

I used some glossy accents and some chalk to finish up my card.

I also want to enter this card in the linky party at Craftin Desert Divas. I used green, pink and white from the color inspiration photo.

Have a great day! Hugs- Glora

PKS August Release Sneak - 3 Little Kittens

Welcome to the 3rd day of Peach Keen Stamps sneak peeks. For my project today I made a card using a new stamps set called I Didn't Do It

The first kitten on the left is made using the face that is included in this set, the other two are using faces from the August 2013 SKOTM. They are a little larger face stamp but I think they still look super sweet on these kittens. I paper pieced and chalked my kitties and then I added some glossy accents to the eyes. The girl kitten in the middle got a little hemp twine bow in her hair. I didn't stamp a sentiment because it was just a note card for a cat loving friend of mine. The paper is from the Pet Mat Stack by DCWV.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak of mine. Make sure to check out the other sneaks on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. Hugs- Glora

Isn't she a cutie? I love the way this cut file and my Peachy Keen Stamps came together. I used the Rocket Blast stamp set for the birthday sentiment and all the patterned paper is by Die Cuts With a View. Other products I used were my Glossy Accents, Sakura Gelly Roll Pens, Stickles, chalk and a Versamarker.

The prize for each day of the blog hop is a $35 gift certificate from Peachy Keen Stamps for one randomly selected comment and a $35 Gift Certificate to SVG Cutting Files for another randomly selected comment. Good luck!

PKS Connection Challenges... Shape Card

Well the new stamps are out and the release party on the PK Connection is over but the challenges are just beginning. Make sure to check them out for a chance to win some fun Peachy goodness.

I'm hosting one of the challenges this month and it is to make a shape card.

I made a milk carton shape card on my Cameo using an old Lettering Delights svg set called Oishii (it had 40 food items & was on clearance for $1). Oh course the darling cow is from the new May 2013 SKOTM that was just released for Peachy Keen Stamps. This cute sentiment is on the stamp kit of the month as well.

I added some stitching with a black Sakura Gelly Roll pen. I added glossy accents to the eyes and a cute little grosgrain bow as well. I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you will join in on the challenge over on the PK Connection. Hugs- Glora

Sending Hugs Your Way...

It is time for another Peachy Keen Challenge and this one is Anything Goes (just make sure to use your Peachy Keen Stamps).

I've wanted to make this card for a while now. I even jotted a basic sketch of it down on a post-it note so I wouldn't forget. It is kind of an accordion style card. It looks pretty simple and unassuming from the front....

Then you open it and the story unfolds...

The gray piece on the end is so I can write a note, since that is the main reason why I would send a card anyway.

Here is a close up of each little scene (including the cover photo)...

I had a lot of fun with this card and thankfully it turned out just about the same as I envisioned it. This was made with Peachy Keen Stamps from the new release. I used the Brick Wall Background stamp for all of the brick walls. I stamped them in black on white cardstock and inked them up with Tim Holtz Distress inks. The eggs, faces, crack and band-aid all come from the March 2013 SKOTM. The feet, arms and sentiments come from the Wisecrack Sentiments Stamp set.

Make sure to check out what everyone else has made for this challenge over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog. I hope you can all join in the fun and play along too. Hugs- Glora

Peachy Keen Release Party Challenges

Well the new Peachy Keen Stamps are available for purchase and aren't they the cutest? Well the release party just got over and the challenges are up over at the Peachy Keen Connection. I wanted to share what I've made for one of the challenges. I hope you will be able to join in the fun too.

I made this cute bunny tag for Nikki's Background Challenge.

Isn't she such a sweet little bunny? Kathy sure knows how to WOW us each and every month. The bunny is from the Somebunny Special stamp set. I curled up her little ear because I had seen my DT sister Miss Cindy Beland do that and LOVED how it looked. Thanks for another awesome idea Cindy. The 'Hoppy Easter' sentiment is from the Baby Easter Bunny stamp set and that fun background is another awesome background stamp. It is called Copper Ceiling Tile and it is a 4.25 x 4.25 square background stamp. It is SO pretty. The cute tag is a die from My Creative Time called Tag Dies. I also used some ribbon from my stash and some hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Well, I hope you will join in on the fun over at the Peachy Keen Connection. Hugs- Glora

You are Outta This World

Well I'm back. Don't forget to check out the fun card that I posted earlier, you can scroll down to see it or click HERE and you can check out Pam's card HERE.

I wanted to post this today because I wanted to remind you that you still have a few more hours to make a card and submit it for the current Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge. It is a really fun sketch and there is tons of inspiration over on the challenge blog, so I hope you will join in the fun HERE if you haven't already.

For this card I used the February 2013 SKOTM by Peachy Keen Stamps as well as the Geared Up Background. I love this little robot. My 20 year old nephew is a HUGE robot fan and this card will be making its way over to him in Spain. The banner across the front was made using a die by My Creative Time called Vintage Stitched Label Dies.

Here is the original sketch. Isn't it great?!

Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Peachy Keen Stamps - December Sketch Challenge

Hello Peachy Keen friends. It is time for another sketch challenge over at the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog. This is a cute and simple sketch. I really enjoyed working with it we are also celebrating a VERY special BIRTHDAY. It is going to be the Peachy Queen's birthday VERY soon so we are incorporating that into the sketch too. Happy birthday KATHY. You are amazing and one of the sweetest and most giving people that I've had a chance to get to know. I hope that your birthday is as special as you are!

Here is my card. I tend to stick pretty close to a sketch most of the time as I did this time, however sometimes it is fun to just play around with a sketch too. For instance the first time I saw the sketch I thought it would make an ADORABLE window scene. Unfortunately I just couldn't get a vision for the right scene. I'm certain someone will make one and I will say, "Yup, that is exactly what I was thinking." Anyway, have fun with it I can't wait to see what you all make with it.

Isn't that hat full of snowmen just the cutest? It is from the PKS December stamp release and is called Snow Sweet Home. On the INSIDE it will say "HAPPY WINTER BIRTHDAY" which is from the brand new Snow Me a Man.

I paper pieced the hat, colored the snowmen with markers, chalks, and Stickles. Then I inked around the edges, pretty simple but fun too. I hope you will join in on this fun challenge and wish Kathy, the Peachy Queen a happy birthday too.

Make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to see what the other designers did with this sketch/birthday challenge. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

I know it looks small here but the pilgrims are actually over 12" tall. I used the new 4" Everyday Character Faces for these cuties and I think I am in LOVE. I'm SO thankful that Kathy made these.

Here are some close ups:

The cute pilgrims come from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge and are extra cute because of their Peachy faces. Here is the boy:

The banner pieces and letters are all cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge:

I have so much to be thankful for. I have a beautiful family and a strong faith. We are truly blessed, I could could go on and on but I know you will want to keep hopping along.

For this all of my patterned paper comes from My Mind's Eye. The darling reindeer and sentiment came from the November 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month by Peachy Keen Stamps. I stamped on some dark Kraft colored paper and then colored with some Copics and chalks. I did a little accenting with my white Gelly Roll Pen and made the silver bells really SILVER with a silver Gelly Roll Pen.

If you haven't already make sure you stop by the Peachy Keen blog to be ABSOLUTELY inspired and enabled ;).

Thankful For YOU!

Sorry that this has been a very light crafting week. Life just happens sometimes and other things have to come first. Today I wanted to share with you a card that I made for one of the Peachy Keen Stamp Challenges over on the Peachy Keen Connection.

I'm SO in love with the new October 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month over at Peach Keen Stamps. This little chipmunk reminds me of the little Disney chipmunk named Dale. I thought he would really cute pulling a HUGE acorn for his Thanksgiving meal. I colored on Kraft Cardstock with Copics and Chalks. Then I added some Glossy Accents here and there. For the background I clear embossed the pretty Oak Leaves and Acorn Background stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps. The twine is from Trendy Twine. Have a terrific day and don't forget about my follower giveaway for my blog anniversary (HERE). Hugs- Glora

BOO - Simply Crafts October 2012

It is the first Wednesday of the month and that means that it is time for another Simply Crafts Challenge. Today we are using the vampire bat cut from the brand new Create a Critter 2 cartridge. Normally we would want you to only use this cut or a similar one, but since it is the 1 year anniversary of our challenge blog we are going to let you submit ANY new Halloween themed project. Check out the Simply Crafts Challenge blog (HERE) for more details.

I had lots of fun with this cutie. My card is 4.25 x 4.25". I used a BRAND NEW Peachy Keen Face stamp for my bat, the set this face came from will be released on Friday and is called Piles of 3/4" Smiles (so this is also a little bit of a sneak peek too :)). The large sized boo sentiment is from the Halloween Holler Spooky Tree and Cat set by Peachy Keen Stamps. The bat, cloud and moon were all cut from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge. I added some Stickles to the black areas on the bat, when that dried I added some glossy accents. I was getting impatient for the glossy accents to dry so I started to use my heat gun to speed things up. I moved it around so it wouldn't get too hot and burn, well it started to burn a little anyway so I stopped and let it dry. When I was able to get back to it several hours later the wings had dried with a bit of an outward curve. I actually LOVED the dimension that added to the bat. Here is a side view so you can see what I'm talking about.

Can you see how far those wings stick out? I love it and I hope you do too.

Make sure to stop by Pam's blog (HERE) to see what she did with this cut and how she did it. I've already seen her card and it is an ADORABLE little scene. You won't want to miss it. And if you would like to join in on the fun please link up at the Simply Crafts Blog and don't forget there are still lots of sneak peeks going on at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and it is also 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time. Happy Haunting - with the CUTEST Ghosts

Hi! Today I wanted to share a card with some of the cutest little ghost EVER. I love these little cuties!!!

See aren't they ADORABLE? I made up this little card in no time at all and yet it is one of my favorite Halloween cards so far. I stamped and cut out the three little ghosts from the Happy Haunting Ghosts by Peachy Keen Stamps. Then I added some coloring to their mouths and I chalked their cheeks and did some shading with some gray chalk. Easy peasy and so fast. The sentiment comes from the same set but the cool little design around the sentiment is from the September 2012 SKOTM. The orange patterned paper is DCWV and the Ric Rac ribbon is from American Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that these cute little ghosts made you SMILE! Hugs- Glora
