Thankful Blog Hop

Welcome to the Peachy Keen Stamps Thankful Blog Hop. Today we are hopping with the current and alumni design teams and it is all about being THANKFUL. I hope you enjoy all the projects today and end up feeling inspired and thankful. You should have arrived here from Raven Baca's blog but if not make sure that you start back at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog so you don't miss out on anything.

For my project I made a thankful banner:

I know it looks small here but the pilgrims are actually over 12" tall. I used the new 4" Everyday Character Faces for these cuties and I think I am in LOVE. I'm SO thankful that Kathy made these.

Here are some close ups:

The cute pilgrims come from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge and are extra cute because of their Peachy faces. Here is the boy:

The banner pieces and letters are all cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge:

I have so much to be thankful for. I have a beautiful family and a strong faith. We are truly blessed, I could could go on and on but I know you will want to keep hopping along.

Don't forget about the big sale going on right now:

There are some gift certificates up for grabs so make sure that you comment on as many blogs as possible to increase your odds of winning.

Your next stop is Ruthie Nixon

MCT Designer Challenge... Tracy

Hello My Creative Time friends, are you ready for another designer challenge? Today Tracy is our designer host and she wants us to use GOOGLY eyes on our project. I can't wait to see what you all create with googly eyes.

I wanted to make a googly eye ghost, it just seemed fun and appropriate. I've been wanting to use this Sandwich Fun face from PKS on a ghost ever since I got it. The eyes on the stamp almost look like googly eyes so I think they look great on this particular face. I also have the ghost on an Action Wobble so he is EXTRA cute and interactive. The candy pattern was made using a background stamp called Candy Background by PKS. The OH so perfect sentiment is from the Treats for My Sweet stamp set by My Creative Time.

I hope that you will take a chance and play along. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Make sure to stop by the My Creative Time blog to see what everyone else has made using GOOGLY eyes. Hugs- Glora

Monday Madness... Imagine That (Congratulations on Your Baptism)

Hello My Creative Time friends and welcome to another Monday Madness... Imagine That. For these projects we always make something with our Imagine Machines or something Imagine like if we don't have an Imagine. I don't have an Imagine so I used patterned paper and a background stamp to make my card Imagine like.

Emma had asked us to use the colors chocolate, teal and red. I also got to use her Many Greetings stamp set. I LOVE this set because it has a little bit of EVERYTHING on it! This was PERFECT timing for using this stamp set too because my daughter just got baptized on Saturday and it had the perfect sentiment for that. The girl on this card may look a little older than you might expect for a baptism card, but in my church children don't get baptized until they are 8. My little paper doll's darling face is from the Happy :Lashes Face Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps. I also did some clear embossing on her dress with the Sweet Lace background stamp by Market Street Stamps. I really love the white on white effect it gives.

Make sure to hop on over to Emma's blog to see what she and some of the designers have for you today! Have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Whimsical Wednesday - Fall Cutie

Yay, it is time for another wonderful Whimsical Wednesday Challenge. Today we all made projects with a fall cutie (a little fall themed animal). This was Cathryn's idea and I love it.

I made a shaped card and my fall cutie is a little indian fox.

The fox and tee-pee are cut from the Create a Critter cartridge. The little indian headpiece is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. I just sized it up for the fox in my Gypsy. The yellow and green ribbon on the tee pee is some more beautiful crinkle ribbon by Patsy at the Prairie Bird Boutique. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Mixed Holiday Sentiments.

I had a little extra fun with the fox and used some more fun flock. I go in phases with that stuff, but I seriously love the way it looks when I take the time to use it. Here is a close up so you can see the texture a little better. A few of you had asked what fun flock is, or where to get it. Well I've seen it called fun flock and flocking and it is usually located right close to the embossing powders and such at your local scrapbooking store. Kimberly from My Craft Spot has some awesome tutorials on using fun flock so I'm going to link to one of those post HERE if you are interested.

Today, we are all doing a second project featuring stamps by Tanner, AKA: Mr. Cricut Crazy. I had the chance to work with Tanner on Emma's design team for a while and I'm just loving this Halloween stamp set I bought from him. These stamps are manufactured by Peachy Keen Stamps so they are awesome quality stamps!

For my card I used his Halloween Town set. I just love this 2 cute 2 spook sentiment.

This is another shaped card, the images come from the Simply Charmed cartridge. My only regret on this card is the stitching between the gray and the black parts of the headstone. I added the stitching before I had glued the gray piece down and then I truly realized how bad I am at drawing a straight line without a guide. Lesson learned on this one!!! Maybe you will humor me and just say that it looks like an old decrepit sort of headstone, so the pieces aren't straight anyway - LOL! The cute little face on the ghost is by Peachy Keen Stamps Monster Mash face assortment. The green bow is made with more of Patsy's ribbon and as mentioned before the darling sentiment is from Tanner's Halloween Town stamp set.

Another fun thing about this card is that the ghost is on an Action Wobble. She is so cute wobbling around on there. In fact, the very first project I EVER made with an Action Wobble over a year ago was on a ghost. It is a perfect motion for these kinds of things.

The prizes for this challenge are some ribbon from The Prairie Bird Boutique and one of Tanner's Stamp sets. I hope you will find some time to join in the fun. This is my last challenge being a part of the Whimsical Wednesday Challenge blog and I wanted to thank Stephanie and all the other sweet ladies on the team for their support and friendship! XOXO to all of you and I will still be stopping by to visit your blogs!!! You are all SO talented! Hugs- Glora

Simply Crafts with Glora and Pam #9

Hello friends, it is the first Wednesday of the month which means it is time for a cut challenge between me and my crafting bestie Pam (Simply-Pam).

I am super excited because Pam and I have decided to let you join in on our cut challenge fun. And yes, there will even be a small prize for a random winner. The new challenge blog is called Simply Crafts Challenge Blog. Click HERE to go and see Pam's project and the full details on the challenge.

Pam chose the cut this month which is a little monster off of the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge.

Here is my card with this cut:

She is on an Action Wobble and my littlest one LOVES this little monster. Can't you just see her wobbling back and forth. The shape for this card is from the Happy Haunting cartridge and I just welded it together in my Gypsy at 4.25 x 5.5". The cute little face is by Peachy Keen Stamps and is called Monster Mash. The cute orange and black twine is by Trendy Twine and is so cute on Halloween projects. And that super beautiful sentiment and die combo is by Emma at My Creative Time. The die is called the Stitched Oval Die and the stamp set is Mixed Holiday Sentiments.

If you decide to join in on this fun challenge, the cut is on page 49 of the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge. If you do play along you will have a chance to win the following (pictured below): 15 yards of the orange and black Trendy Twine, The Skeleton Scroll Cuttlebug embossing folder and some Halloween colored brads by SEI. Just make sure to link up on the Simply Crafts Challenge Blog within the next two weeks and we will pick a random winner.

Cricut Banner

**If you are looking for Gilby's Makeover walk scroll down or click HERE**

I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the Cricut Banner contest. The contest was to make a banner with the word CRICUT. There are supposed to be 5 winners of the new E2 Cricut Machine and many of the banners will be shown on HSN on Monday, September 26th. I don't have cable so if you happen to see my banner let me know ;).

When I heard about the contest I had a couple of ideas but only got one of them made and turned in before the deadline. Here is a full picture of the banner, you can always click on a picture if you want to see it close up, but I will include some closeups as well:

Close up of left side:

Close up of right side:

Close up of the letters only:

These banner pieces are from Birthday Bash and are cut at 5.5". I included LOTS of stitching...

And now to my VERY favorite part of the banner... The Cricut LOVING banner girls. Here is the brunette:

This cute brunette was cut at 9.5" and is about 10" tall assembled. Her face is a Peachy Keen face I bought on clearance last year (discontinued). It is a BIG face and fits this darling banner girl PERFECTLY!!! She is holding her lovely Cricut green Gypsy and her darling Creative Genius shirt was a bonus stamp that Emma gave out with one of her stamp releases.

Now onto our adorable blondy:.

This cutie is a quite the paper princess. Her cute sentiment on her crafty shirt came from Emma's Paper Princess stamp set. She has another huge Peachy Keen Face that I picked up on clearance last year (discontinued). Can I say I'm SO glad I bought these last year!!! You could get very similar faces, just a little bit smaller with the 7-9"  Basic Paper Doll Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps. Anyway, she has her Baby Bug Cricut with her and is ready to play with some paper because that is what makes her HAPPY!

I had a BLAST making this and I LOVE how it turned out. I plan on making one to put in my craft room when I get some spare time - LOL! I hope you enjoyed it!

Hello and welcome to Candace's Girly Birthday Blog Hop. If you came here from the birthday girl's (Candace's) blog then you are in the right spot, if not make sure to head back to Candace's blog so you can wish her a happy birthday and get the whole GIRLY hop in.

I have two little girls, so I love making cute and girly things. My daughter's are currently in love with Rapunzel.  When I saw these cute Rapunzel stickerz by EAD Designs I fell in love. EAD Designs was kind enough to donate a set for me to try out for Candace's Birthday hop.

All of the pink and purple paper is full of glitter and my girls LOVE it. Now I just need to get a picture of them with Rapunzel the next time we are at Disneyland and my layout will be complete.

The darling 'happily ever after' sentiment is from My Creative Time's, You Had Me at Chocolate, stamp set. The beautiful blingy paper (which is SUPER glittery in person) is by Core'dinations and as mentioned above the stickers are by EAD Designs.

There are two awesome sponsors for the blog hop. The first is Pink By Design with a $15 gift certificate and the second is EAD Designs with a $20 gift certificate. Make sure to comment on every stop along the hop to be entered to win one of these prizes. You have until 11:59 CST on September 22nd to get your comments in.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #60

Sorry these last two posts are SO close together, I am getting close to the deadline, so if you want to see my Market Street Stamps post just scroll down or click HERE.

I had so much fun playing along with the Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge. I had an idea for the sketch and I just had to try it (hopefully it hasn't already been done by someone in the past). Honestly, I have seen so many beautiful scenes by the Peachy Keen Design Team that I hope my inspired idea isn't just something that I had seen in the past that popped back into my head - LOL. I must admit I am EXTREMELY novice at coloring with Copics, but I still had so much fun putting this little scene together.

I think this Vivienne and Friends stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps is SO adorable!!! I also used my leaf punch, my Cricut. The darling sentiment and die on the left hand side are by Emma at My Creative Time. The leaf patterned paper on the left was made with a leaf stamp from the Anyday Bingo and Crossword stamp set that was just released by Emma.

Thanks for dropping by tonight and I hope to see you in the morning for Candace's Girly Birthday Blog Hop! She has a couple of fun sponsors and lots of fun girly inspiration. Hugs- Glora

Birthday Celebration Day 3 - The Twinery

Hello and welcome to day three of my virtual birthday party. I'm having so much fun and I'm so excited about the awesome prizes some of you are going to win this week. Today I'm spotlighting The Twinery. I absolutely LOVE their baker's twine. Last fall I happened upon some baker's twine at a local scrapbooking store. They sold it, by the yard, in lots of different colors. I bought some to try out. While using the twine I discovered that there was one kind that I liked better than the rest. The colors were brighter it seemed and the twine was a little thicker or more plush. I found out that this twine was from The Twinery. I bought their sampler pack online and the rest is history.

I wanted to try something fun and different with the twine for my project today. I hope you like it :).

The Twinery has been so amazing and generous to work with. They have donated a Colorful Bunch Sampler Pack to one lucky commenter. This is 15 yards of each of their beautiful colors of baker's twine (a total of 165 yards of twine). Isn't it BEAUTIFUL?

The rules remain the same for each giveaway this week so if you need to check up on any of those details click on yesterday's link HERE.

Just make a comment under this post for your first entry and then there are two bonus entries too.

Bonus Entry #1: 'LIKE' The Twinery on FaceBook (click HERE to go to their page). Then come back and leave me a comment here saying that you did so. (If you already 'like' them simply state so in a comment below).

Bonus Entry #2: "Follow" The Twinery Blog (click HERE to go to their blog). Then come back and leave me a comment saying that you have. (If you already follow them simply state so in a comment below).

ALSO, just a reminder that you have all week through (Sunday May 1st) to make a comment on any/all of the posts for the week.

Here is an incredibly short video showing my 'rocking' horse. I can't have a rocking horse on a project without attaching it to an Action Wobble - LOL.

Throwback Thursday Design Team Project- St Patty's Day

Hello crafty friends. It is time for another Throwback Thursday Challenge. For this challenge you can use any older Cricut cartridge that you want and the theme is St Patrick's Day! Please join us in the fun and make sure to check out THIS post to see all of the fun design team projects.

Here is my card (which is also my entry for the Peachy Keen Stamps sketch challenge):

Isn't that stamped sentiment PERFECT? It is from Emma's I Believe in Leprechaun's set. The leprechaun is from Simply Charmed, however, I had to change him up just a tad. His little derby hat was cute, but I wanted to give him the leprechaun hat from Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. With the help of my awesome Gypsy, I was able to size it just the way I wanted it. Oh yes, and this happy fellow is on an Action Wobble. He had to be dancin' the St Patty's Day jig.

Here is a super quick video that my husband did the audio for. Enjoy!

Items Used:

*My Creative Time stamps - I Believe in Leprechauns
*Peachy Keen Stamps - Wide Eyed Kids
*Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge
*Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge
*Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite cartridge

Congratulations on Your Baptism

I have made a couple of baptism cards lately. This girl one is for a sweet lady in my neighborhood that was baptized and joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I must admit that this one is my favorite of the two cards.

This next card is for my nephew who just turned eight and is being baptized on Saturday. The image is from the Inspired Heart Cricut cartridge. It lends itself to very simple cuts, but it is perfect for my nephew and this special occasion. The sentiment is from the Faithful Sayings stamps designed by My Pink Stamper.

Peachy Keen Stamps Simple Sallies
My Pink Stamper Faithful Sayings
Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder
Corner Rounder
DCWV patterned paper
Sakura White Gellyroll
