Hoppin' By to Say... Happy Birthday

Here is yet another card, in more detail, from the Peachy Keen Stamps and Core'dinations Blog Hop.

The card base comes from the Create a Critter cartridge sized at 4.25 x 5.5". The background rectangle was hand cut at 3.5" x 4.75". This frog came from the Paisley Cricut cartridge, I cut him at 3.25" (I trimmed off his crown). The sentiment for this card come from the June 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month by Peachy Keen Stamp. I just masked some of the existing sentiments a little bit to get just what I wanted. The perfect frog faces comes from the Peachy Keen Stamps Baby Animals Faces. I used some glossy accents to shine up the eyes a bit. All of the papers are Core'dinations. I used the Core'dinations sander on my pre-embossed background. All of the edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and I also did a lot of faux stitching with my Sakura GellyRoll Pen.

I hope your day is absolutely FABULOUS! Hugs- Glora

Simply Crafts Challenge for April - Umbrella Cut

Happy 1st Wednesday of April and welcome to another Simply Crafts Challenge. This month Pam chose the cut and it is the umbrella cut off of the Paisley Cricut cartridge. There is a small "Peachy" prize for a random entry so make sure to join in the fun. You can find all the details on the Simply Crafts Challenge Blog HERE.

This is the card I made for the challenge:

I used the Lacey Labels Cricut cartridge for my shape card base as well as all the layers. Then I cut the umbrella cut from the Paisley Cricut cartridge. I added a little doodling with my Sakura Gellyroll pen and my Bic Ultrathin marker. The darling sentiment comes from the My Creative Time Pain, Pain Go Away! stamp set.

I hope  you will join in the challenge at the Simply Crafts Challenge Blog. And I hope you will check out the details on Pam's project too. You can do that at her new blog, Simply Pam's Creations HERE. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Happy Leap Day... I'm JUMPING FOR JOY!!!

Happy Leap Day 2012!!!! This is my first time blogging during a leap year, so I had to have a post go up today. I also have some fun PERSONAL news to share at the end of this post if you are interested. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to do a cute little frog card to represent LEAP DAY and my happy news too.

This is a shape card that I made using my Gypsy. I used the frog from the Paisley cartridge because it looks like he is ready to jump or leap. The lilly pad is from the Create-a-Critter cartridge. That super cute frog face is from a Peachy Keen Stamps set called Baby Animal Faces 3". And the awesome sentiment is from My Creative Time's Just a Little Note to Say. I think it is perfect for this card!

As for the PERSONAL news I wanted to share the reason why I'm 'jumping for joy'. I'm happy to finally share with all of you that my husband and I are going to be having a baby BOY! We have two very sweet girls and are very happy to be adding a little boy to our family at the beginning of the summer. YAY! We are SO super EXCITED (JUMPING FOR JOY)! I also want to share a link to the sweet card that my Crafting Bestie Pam sent to me when she learned of the happy news. Click HERE to see her card. She is quite the enabler because now I think that I NEED the cartridge she used for this card. If any of you know where I can find the 9 Months Cricut Lite cartridge for LESS than $40, will you PLEASE let me know. Have a terrific LEAP day and I hope you find something to JUMP for JOY about today! Huge Hugs- Glora

Race for the Cure Hop!

Alright, can I just start by saying that I have really become dependant on blogger working for me. I tried getting my post up all the way up to the last minute before going on a school field trip to the zoo. I just got back and blogger was up! Hallelujah!!!

Anyway, today we are doing a very special blog hop. If you are coming from Katie's blog you are in the right spot, if not make sure you go back to Emma's blog so you can see all of the amazing projects.

Here is my project. It is a 'pink' and very girly tennis shoe shape card. I thought it would be perfect for today's hop.

Don't those stamps look great. Emma really has done an amazing job creating this special set. These sentiments are perfect and beautiful for all sorts of projects. Plus with every purchase of the "Race for a Cure" stamp set Emma is donating $2 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for a Cure. Here is a picture of this beautiful set.

Emma has provided this (pictured below) amazing grand prize to a lucky commenter. You just have to make sure that you comment on EVERY stop along the way.

Your next stop is the amazing Miss Leanne. I know she has something awesome for you to see. Click HERE to go to her blog.

Sweet Holiday Cheer

I have been making my Christmas cards in sets of two. It doesn't take much longer to make two that are similar than it does to make one. How about any of you?

One of my latest creations comes from a cute Disney Christmas ornament I have. It is a Mickey Mouse shaped sucker. Thanks to my awesome Gypsy I was able to recreate it in card form.

So, they turned out fairly similar but not exactly the same. I also used Action Wobbles on both of them but I did them both differently. The first card has an Action Wobble only on the biggest middle part of the sucker (a double layer). The second card has the Action Wobble on the back of the whole sucker. I made a quick video demonstration.

Let me know which one you like the best. I can't decide for sure. Thanks for looking.

Also, one more reminder about the Jolly Holly 2 day blog hop. Please come and join in the fun, starting Friday, December 10th at 7:30 PM EST. I hope to 'see' you there :). If you click on this badge below it will take you to the beginning of the blog hop on Friday.

Items Used:
