Hamsa Hands Clay Holders

And finally a new stencil set! I had some trouble lately with the shop, laser machine not working properly and raw material got lost somewhere between UK and Italy. So, grab them while you can!
I've played a bit with clay lately, I love how these little holders came out, even if these are a bit crooked. Here's a short video process:

Video Tutorial: Air Dry Clay Bowls with Stencils

Welcome back everyone, today I introduce you to a video tutorial where I'm using, for the first time in ages (I was a children last time I used it) air dry clay with my stencils. In 2018 I've been so lucky to work a bit with a very talented Raku ceramic artist, Sandra Manus, in my little town, and every now and then I design custom stencils for her. Late November she asked me a large stencil inspired by a Sardinian jewel, and this April I've reworked it a little bit, shrinken and added to the my latest stencil's release. So, inspired by her, I've got a stick of air dry clay and played -a lot- for several weeks. Well, I am happy with the result, but I hated to wait  the drying time (it was so humid  at the time, I waited several days for every bowl):

The small one is a bit wonky, I wanted it wonky on purpose but in the end it was half wonky and half straight :-(
This one in my mind was thick and squared, but well, I didn't get enough clay and I didn't want to start again (but you can, start over again indefinitely)
The crackle glaze added such a wonderful texture!

Home decor with PhotoWall

Hello everyone! A post today slight different from usual, with a bit of home decor that I am really proud of. Lately I've been contacted by a lovely company in Sweden 'PhotoWall', they asked me if I were interested in choosing one of their wonderful product on their website to use in my home and promote here in my blog. I said yes, of course, I already knew I needed a large wall paper for my living room, a bit gloomy and bare. I took my time to peruse amongst the 20'000 wall paper they have in their shop, and in the end I picked a very bold and bright wall paper that I love! It is called 'Verona Street':

The worst part? Dismountle the video intercom, after that everything went smooth:
I took advantage to have a shot at HIM =^.^ = with such a striking backdrop
You can get a discount on the 'PhotoWallwebsite using the code giovanna25 at checkout: this code will give you a 25% discount on any product in their website and is valid for a month.

Video Tutorial: 10 Creative Ways to use your Gel Prints Part1

Hello everyone, a couple of weeks ago, I decided ro spurge/move/tidy up a bit my huge amount of paper leftovers, mainly gel prints. After two pizza boxes and a biscuit box full to the brim of leftovers I thougth it was time to put a small dent on it...like making 10 new craft projects with one rule: no NEW gel prints were allowed. Ready for a new video? In this video I show you 10 different craft projects to simple cards, to altered objects, to a scrapbooking layout to paper beads, to a faux Midori and its notebooks and much more. Enjoy :-)
Even from the tiniest leftovers you can make some lovely ATC or ATCoin:
Some Boho paper beads:
Some clean and simple cards, the possibilities are endless:
You can alter some cardboard or wooden boxes or make a wall clock from scratch:
Or make some meaningful tags:

More photos on the next post, part2.

Here some links from my old video tutorial, to make the prints I used in this current video:

Tutorial: Altered clock with Visible Image

It's a clock! A couple of years ago a friend of mine gave me this simple glass clock, and I think it was high time to give it a new look and hanging proud in my craftroom: in this project I feature the cool 'The Right Direction' stamp set by Visible Image, perfect for any masculine card or craft project.
How cute the tiny cars on the clock hands are:
And here the feminine version, couldn't resist!
Here I used the magnificent Beautiful Soul stamp set :
And a sentiment from 'Believe in me' stamp set
Tutorial
Disassemble the clock and cut a piece of white cardstock to size:
Swipe two colours of Distresss Oxide on a plastic sleeve, spray water and swipe the cardstock face down. Dry a bit with the heat gun and repeat with two different colors. Carry on until you are happy with the result:
Now stamp the car and the London skyline on opposite corners from the stamp set 'The Right Direction'
Add some stencilled details to the background (looks a lot like a F1 flag!) using 'Distorted Chess' and Distress Oxide:
Adhere to the glass and mount the clock mechanism.
