And last but not least craft project I've made with all the gel floral prints from previous post is this crazy one: a giant ( almost A3 size), colourful and  bold paper dress 

E l'ultimo progetto fatto con le carte, anzi in questo caso la carta velina, gellate con i timbri floreali fatti con la gomma clepra: un pazzo, enorme vestito di carta, colorato e balzoso

The dress is made out of GelliArts® parchment paper tore in pieces, every piece stapled to create the folds and glued to a paper template (no sew involved)

La gonna è stata fatta strappando la carta velina e poi spillandola per creare le pieghe e incollata una sull'altra

Lettering and ArtJournal pages

I was eager to make some AJ pages, since it was a while from the last time. So, I perused a bit some old magazines and I found some cool image that compelled me to make artjournaling straight away, and not one, but two pages in a row (quite a record). For the first page I made a quick colourful background using crystal colours as Infusions and Pixie and a lot of hand-lettering...it took time, a pencil, eraser and patience, but it worthed it. And since I was in a roll, I made the second page from a leftover of black cardstock with just hand lettering....love it!

Era da tanto che non facevo dell'ArtJournaling, quindi ho sfogliato qualche vecchia rivista e delle immagini trovate mi hanno subito ispirata a creare non una, ma ben due pagine di fila! La prima con uno sfondo, velocissimo, fatto con i cristalli di colore Infusions e Pixie e tanto lettering...per questo ci vuole semplicemente tanta pazienza, tempo, una matita ed una gomma. Per la seconda...solo hand-lettering, ero troppo fomentata!

And welcome on day 2 of my Stencil week! This is one of my favourite design: it consists of a stencil and a mask. You can use that little lace border everywhere!

What about a quirky and colourful 2018 calendar?

E benvenuti al secondo giorno della mia Settimana Stencils: questo è uno dei miei preferiti, ed è fatto da due parti, lo stencil e la maschera. E quel bordino pizzoso è adatto dappertutto!

The Complete Book of Chalk Lettering

Lately I had the chance to read this book  'The Complete Book of Chalk Lettering', and let's say my hand-lettering has improved so much. It can be used to make cards, ArtJournal pages and if you are bold, some serious, pretty home-decor. Did I like this book? As long as it 'forced' me to practice every day on hand-lettering and really enjoyed it, definitely yes; I found it useful, really complete and easy to follow. Pros and cons of chalk lettering: 
PROS: 
-fun
-addictive
-forgiving (so easy to erase, magical cotton swabs)
-useful
-cheap 
CONS: -sharpen the chalk (boring boring boring) 
I started with a piece of MDF painted with black chalk paint and then lots of practice practice practice:
Qualche settimana fa ho avuto l'opportunità di avere tra le mani questo libro 'The Complete Book of Chalk Lettering': fantastico, ogni giorno facevo un pò di pratica, e sono migliorata tantissimo. L'hand-lettering è poi facilmente applicabile ai biglietti d'auguri, ArtJournaling e home-decor. Il libro è in inglese, ma veramente bastano le immagini, gli esempi e gli alfabeti a cui ispirarsi, lo consiglio vivamente. Nel libro si usano solo i gessetti, ben 1 euro di spesa, l'unica cosa noiosissima è doverli temperare tutte le volte.
Sono partita da un pezzo di MDF che ho dipinto con del gesso nero, e poi tanta pratica:

E qui il pezzo finale, niente di eclatante, però soddisfacente.
