Tutorial: Bright and Summer-ish MixedMedia Panel

For the IndigoBlu blog where the theme this month is 'Bonfire Night' I altered a MDF panel. I know it is a weird shape, I got a couple of these when I prepped the kits for the MixedMedia workshop I held in June, and since I don't throw anything away ....and I confess I prefer this shape to a regular one.

Hello to everyone! It's still Summer and hot here in Italy, even in the North of Italy, where I've moved lately. And to celebrate this season and the new theme on the IndigoBlu Challenge blog: "All things Bright & Beautiful" I created a notebook from scratch and decorate the cover with a stamp that I love, Valerie using different inks:

To make a notebook like this, just collect and cut to size some white cardstock, punch 6 holes on the upper side and link them with some threads to a piece of heavy cardstock same size.

Per fare un blocco notes come questo basta raccogliere e tagliare a misura del cartoncino bianco, bucarlo su uno dei lati e rilegarlo insieme alla copertina con dei nastrini.

Summer Florals cards for IndigoBlu with Infusions

For the latest challenge on the IndigoBlu blog "Summer Florals"  I created two one-layer cards, bright and vibrant.  As you guessed I got hooked by the Infusions, that I used for the background. If you are curious about them here a video tutorial "10 ways to use Infusions".

Teal and Brown panel for IndigoBlu

"Teal and Brown" is the latest theme on the IndigoBlu challenge , starting today. I altered a large MDF panel, with chipboards, stencils and a small wooden frame that inspired this artwork. So, if you have the chance to find some of these thrifted little frame this is a nice idea to upcycle them.

Marrone e Turchese, un abbinamento di colori bellissimo, è l'ultimo tema sul blog della IndigoBlu. Ho alterato un pannello in MDF con un sacco di chipboards, stencils ed una cornicetta vintage che stava appesa nella craftroom ed è quella che mi ha dato ispirazione per il pannello.

ArtJournal: Dreaming about Cats for IndigoBlu

This month's theme on the Indigoblu challenge blog is 'May...your dreams come true'. I created an AJ page about a wildest, crazy dream....to have dozens of cats! It is a silly dream, but when I made this page, a while ago, I was so miserable, because I was giving up on my biggest dream to became a professional crafter, so I sticked to make a page as brightest and funny as possible, to chase away those feelings.

ArtistTradingBlock: Spring is in the air for Indigoblu

And Spring is in full rage right now, best season of the year, for sure! And it is also the new theme on the IndigoBlu blog 'Spring is in the air'. I created an ATB with a lovely stamp set and bright colours. I started with a A4 size cardstock sprayed with acrylic paints and cut to size:
Siamo ormai in piena primavera, decisamente il periodo più bello dell'anno. Ed è anche il nuovo tema sul blog della Indigo Blu 'Primavera nell'aria'. Io ho creato una ATB tagliando il template da un foglio di cartoncino A4 precedentemente spruzzato dei miei colori preferiti.

Colourful Altered Agenda Cover

First day of Spring and new challenge on the IndigoBlu blog where the theme is 'Yellow, Pink and Green'. For me a bold, supercolourful cover, I altered my dull agenda where I write all the stuff I need to remember, lists etc. Now it is proudly displayed on every table available, a feast for eyes!
Primo giorno di primavera e nuovo tema sul blog della IndigoBlu ' Giallo, Rosa e Verde'. Io ne ho approfittato per rendere un po' più colorata la copertina della mia triste agenda...adesso una gioia ogni volta che la guardo!
