You know that while I was taking photos of all those beautiful views in Tennessee I also had to photograph some abandoned places too.
I just love these and wanted to share them with you. (Whether you like it or not. lol!)
There were a couple of times when we stopped at what looked like an abandoned home only to learn that it wasn't abandoned at all and we were actually in someone's driveway. Luckily, the people of Tennessee are super nice!
I wish you could have seen my reaction when this chicken showed up out of no where...
Even though the people of Tennessee are super nice, we decided not to investigate this place too much. lol!

Dealing with the stress...

One of you commented that I should go to "a happy place" since the stress level this week is off the charts. So, here are more pictures from our Tennessee vacation. These were actually taken on the morning of my birthday and the rime ice was beyond beautiful!

Is it Christmas yet?

So, we made it through another week at school and the only thing even close to exciting happened Thursday when I had my class on the playground. After we had been out there awhile, I noticed that there was a car in the parking lot with the driver side door open. No one else was in site and no one had come or gone while e had been out there.
I slowly walked through the gate and toward the car. Some of the kids noticed that I was on the other side of the fence and started calling out, "Ms. Brown is leaving!" I assured them that I wasn't leaving and told them to back away from the fence. Then I once again turned my attention to the car with the open door.
As I walked around the front of the car I said a silent prayer, "Lord, please don't let there be a body on the ground!"
Luckily, there was no body! I called the office and after some time we learned that the car belonged to one of the volunteers that helps in a pre-k class. She had simply gotten out of the car and forgotten to close her door. Even the volunteers are stressed out!
In the past two weeks I've had two different dreams about being kidnapped. After the first one, I woke up disappointed that I hadn't actually been kidnapped and had to go to work. The second dream scared me! I woke up with a pounding heart and couldn't get back to sleep. The next day was an especially long one!
We've still got another week before vacation starts and I'm hoping there won't be any more bad dreams. I spent some time today going through more of my Tennessee photos trying to get back the calm feeling that vacation always brings...
