A Special Tribute by Guest Designer Jackie Neal

Hello everyone, thanks for joining me again here at Gina's!
Today I would like to share something very special to me. September 19 was my Mom's birthday. She would have been 84.
In honor of my Mom, I created this wall hanging using some of my favorite photos of her along with some of my favorite pieces from Gina's Designs.
Read along as I share some photos and a few steps of my process.
This first photo is to show you a bit of how I work.
I had the general vision of what I wanted, but not sure of what elements I would use. The assorted Gina's pieces auditioned on and off and up and down, for about an hour before I finally (and I use that word lightly) decided!
For the base, I used covers from a book. They were gessoed, then painted, crackled and glued together.
Next up painting the Flourished Frames Set-Evie (I used all three) and giving these a layer of crackle as well.
oops about the extra bits-darn macro shows everything!
Gina's Peacock Feathers Shape Set are absolutely gorgeous! These fit perfectly into Mom's piece as she had a beautiful evening dress that my Dad had brought her back from Japan. The dress, iridescent Damask Silk, had Peacock feathers all over and was one of the colors I used for this.
After the Peacock Feathers were painted and placed along with the other chipboard, I felt I needed just a bit more. I went through my Gina's stash and found the perfect chipboard pieces!
Again a bit of separation was done -
I told you Gina's chipboard was versatile!
Here I used the Wrought Iron Set and separated a few of the swirly embellishments for my accent pieces for the center.
I was painting the words "A Moment in Time", when I noticed there was Mom in beautiful cursive, so I cut it from the phrase and  adhered it to one of the pieces from the Stackable Labels Set.

I do hope you have been inspired to created something using Gina's beautiful chipboard Designs!

Gina's Designs Card Set

Hi Friends!  Debbie with you today sharing a card set I created.  I wanted to keep the techniques simple for the Gina's chipboard and still give it a shabby/mixed media look.  I added a little modeling paste to the cards using a stencil and some splatters with glimmer mist.

The technique I used is very simple.
1. Paint your chipboard pieces with cream colored acrylic paint.

2. Using a script stamp and archival ink stamp your painted chipboard

3. The final step is to ink all your edges and adhere to you card.

Four Tabbed Mini by Mary M

The pictures below are how I decorated my journal. The paper is Graphic 45 - Couture.  The frame and the word inspire were both embossed. I then cut out a black oval to go behind the frame and attache the word to it. Pop dots were used to attach it to the book.
On the side I used one of Gina's dangle and created this fun charm.
The corset was painted black and the "lace" painted white.

The sewing machine is embossed with black and silver.
The next three pictures are the tabbed pages. The chipboard was painted black.
The hanger and the dressform were embossed with black. I attached these two piece as well as the corset towards the edge of the covers so I would still have the flat surface for writing.

Whimsical Cards With Rubbermoon Stamps

Hi! Lynne here with some "just because" cards  (which happen to be my favorite kind of cards to give!) Creating these cards was interesting for me, as I very seldom venture into the wild world of stamping, but I had a lot of fun with these!

The chipboard frame and dragonflies were heat-embossed with Lindy's Stamp Gang powder, then sponged with purple ink- I really love purple, as you can see!

Altered Cigar Box Cross Promotional Project by Kathi

Kathi here to share my last cross promotional project with Craftsupplies1, an altered cigar box.

Using the flat red lace,  I created a handmade flower with a streamer descending from the bottom.  In the center of the flower I have a pearl center and a butterfly resting on the flower.  I placed a stacked flourish off to the left side.  The flower is resting on a large crocheted doily that I received in a swap. I painted the butterfly scribbled frame, and added a photo mat behind it. I placed two metal butterflies from Craftsupplies1 in the lower right corner.

Here is a close up of scribbled butterfly frame, and the butterfly has distressed stickles painted on it.
Here is one of Gina's new stacked flourishes with one layer painted with white gesso and the other with black gesso.
Inside of the lid, I used Gina's textured sheet, painted with white gesso.  Layered on top is a red doily and on top of the doily I placed a dressform and a frame.

After the chipboard pieces were painted,  I distressed the dress form and placed the word love over the bodice along with a flower bunch and a flower cameo. A rose bunch was placed on the lower right which is from Craftsupplies1.
