Shabby Steampunk Tag by Kim

Happy Friday Friends! Today I would like to share with you my shabby steampunk tag. I used the Extra Large Tag from Gina's for my base. These tags are very cool and measure 8 inches high by 4 inches wide!   I started off by mod podging a lovely napkin with a vintage girl image on top, then layered some gorgeous laces and trims on the top and bottom from Craftsupplies1.

I cut up my Gears Borders and Corners set and layered them in her hair.  I embossed them in various colors of embossing powders, but keeping them in the vintage metal tones I wanted to achieve.  I then added some fun metal pieces like a hot air balloon on top of the gears, and some chipboard clock hands and a flower from Craftsupplies1.

Here you can see one of Gina's chipboard pocket watches which I covered with some Prima Chalk Inks and surrounded with a metal clock hand, cameo and more beautiful flowers from Craftsupplies1.

I also used some of the numbers from the Chunky Borders Set, cutting them up and placing them on the tag after embossing them and adding some copper Gilder's Paste.

I love the shabby and vintage feel of this tag, and the gears that surround this lovely little lady!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Mitten Banners by Deann and Kim

Happy Friday everyone! Today we have our two designers, Deann and Kim up with their take on our Mitten Micro Mini Album.  First up is Deann with her take...

Good morning, Deann here with a dual project with Kim!
We both made the Mitten Micro Mini Album. We decided to turn the mini into banners.

I used the My Minds Eye Holly Jolly 6x6 paper pad to cover the mittens.

I used Heidi's Stars Shape Set on some of the cuffs.

I also used the Snowflakes Shape Set.

I found really cute jingle bells at the Dollar Tree, they look so cute!

Next up is Kim with her very pretty Banner!

Hello friends, today I am here to share with you my take on the Micro Mitten Mini Album. I turned the mini into a vertical banner for my front door.  I started off my banner by using some of the pieces from the Winter Shape Set, the tree and the "Let it Snow" sentiment.  I embossed the words and layered them over the tree which I used some Snow Tex on to give the illusion of snow, and topped the tree off with one of the bling buttons from Craftsupplies1.

Here is the mittens which hang below the Let It Snow sentiment, it hangs on my front door.

Below here are my mittens, I used some Lawn Fawn paper on them, then went around with some chalk inks to distress them a little. I topped the mittens off with some gorgeous laces, flowers and trim from Craftsupplies1, along with some fun Christmas mini lights I had in my stash.

I used some of the snowflakes from Gina's Snowflake set, which I textured and added some tinsel embossing powder to give them some shine. For the letters, I used some of the lady bug Prima chalk ink and then embossed on top of them  with a clear glitter embossing powder. I also used some embossing paste and a Tim Holtz stencil, Stars, to create a wintery background on the mittens.

I am really happy with how this turns out. Deann and I loved making this so much, that Gina is going to make a Snow Mitten Banner which will be in the store soon!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my and Deann's projects.

Layout by Donna and Cross Promotion Projects by the Craftsupplies1 Team

Hello Friends!  Today we have lots of inspiration to share.  First up we have our team member Donna sharing a gorgeous layout, and following that we are sharing more of the amazing October cross promotional projects created by the team at Craftsupplies1.

It's Donna here today to share a fall layout using one of Gina's beautiful flourished frames.

I wanted to keep this layout very simple because I wanted the gorgeous Flourished Frame - Bella to be the star of the show! It's a really beautiful design!

I prepared the chipboard frame with a coat of white gesso. I then painted it with Tattered Angels, Palm leaf, glitter paint. While still wet, I added pine needles and orange embossing powder.

I only glued the middle frame part down so that I could pull up and lightly twist up the leaves.

Thank you so, so much for stopping by Gina's and taking a look at my Fall layout!

Hello friends! Today we would like to share more of the truly amazing projects by the Craftsupplies1 team for our Cross Promotional this month. We have been so inspired by Julie's team and are so grateful for all their hard work and creativity!
Here we have a dual take on our large alarm clock. The left hand side is created by Becky C, and on the right by Corene P. These ladies have done an outstanding job and really have shown the versatility of this piece. Great work Ladies!

Here is the link to their videos

Design team member Becky has also created this truly inspired box using one of our book boxes and some fun items from our store, including one of our dress forms and also one of the gears borders and corners. We love the earthy tones and gorgeous flowers from Craftsupplies1.

Next up we have two of our standing dress forms decorated by Codi and Heather.  They are truly inspired work! On the left is Codi's take with a lovely shabby and chic look and on the right is Heather's vintage steampunk look. They are truly amazing creations!
Below are the links to their videos

Next up we have a wonderful creative take on our large spool.  This was created by DT Member Codi as well. She has incorporated our trees and given them some sparkle and shine! We love the fantasy look of the spool and the Craftsupplies1 parchment flowers add a gorgeous finishing touch.

And last but not least we have some fun and different projects from Ashley B. and Kristina O.
Ashley has stepped outside of the box creating these very cool canvas'. She has done them up in a shabby tea theme, with some of the tea string alongs, and alarm clock frame ups.  They would look amazing hanging in any kitchen or tea room!
On the right Kristina has altered one of our ATC shrines. We love the pretty in pink tones, which mix with some of the new fabric flowers that Craftsupplies1 has in stock.

Thank you so much to all the talented Designers from Craftsupplies1 and also to owner Julie as well. We are truly inspired by all of your work!  For more information on these projects please check out the videos linked above.

12 x 12 Layouts by Kim and by Shanna

Hello Crafty Friends!  Today we have two gorgeous layouts to share!  First up is Kim to share her vintage heritage styled layout called "Somewhere in Time"

Happy Friday friends! Today I would like to share with you my "Somewhere in Time" layout.
I started off this layout being inspired by one of my vintage photos from my collection. I love the kind of "Mona Lisa" smile on this lady and wanted to use her as my starting off point.

I used some lovely paper for the background which has a crackled effect on it, and it went perfectly with the vintage feel of the photo. I used a lot of sprays, paints and textures on the background to build up some layers and color. Then I got out my Bo Bunny Somewhere in Time paper and ephemera I also layered on some corrugated cardstock and gauze paper which picked up the blue tones in the other paper.

I have then layered on some of the new Renata Flourishes from Gina's Shop, and some lovely laces and trims from Craftsupplies1. The photo on the right has an element I received in a swap from Gina herself, (she's kind of a master at those!) and I thought it topped the flourish off nicely.

The upper left photo is one of the alarm clock frame ups with one of the hot air balloon charms from Craftsupplies1. I layered it on top of more of the Bo Bunny ephemera.

Finally, here you can see some of the chain border which I painted with some chalk inks and Shimmerz paints.
I hope you had fun taking a journey though time with me today!

Next up is Shanna to share her mixed media layout called "Explore Your path"

Hey everyone. Shanna here to help you get the weekend started. I hope you all get some crafty time this weekend. I know I am planning it.

I am beyond excited to share with you a new layout I created.

I had a blast using my all time favorite Gears Shape Set and I got to use a frame from the Scribbled Frames and Lines Set

First I created my background by using a stencil, some Twinkling H2O's, stamps, and modeling paste.

Then on the frame, first I gave it some gesso, then I added a little bit of red gelato.  After that I went crazy with glass bead gel. Then I covered it all up with twinkling H2O's. After that dried, I added a little bit of Bloom Spray.

For my gears I kept it simple and added some gold rub n buff. Then I went to town and embellished my page.

Grab your chipboard and have a blast!

Projects by Kim and by Shanna for our October Cross Promotional

Happy Friday Friends!  We have two more fun projects to share today as our month long cross promotional with Gina's Designs and Craftsupplies1 continues.  First up today is Kim to share her latest project.

Today I would like to share with you my mixed media canvas. I have titled this canvas "Birds of a Feather", as it features the Feathers Shape Set from Gina's Designs and also some amazing items from Craftsupplies1.

I started the canvas with some tissue paper in blue, and some stamps with a feather image in the background. I then mod podged it onto the canvas and added some sprays in matching colors to give more texture to the background.

I used some of the black and silver trim from Craftsupplies1 to mimic a branch shape to have the birds sit on.

I used the new Scribbly Frame  - Birds behind my stamped image of the birds and embossed it in black and teal. I then tucked the feathers in and around the images of the birds and added some beautiful flowers and pearl strands from Craftsupplies1.

I also used some of the acrylic hearts from Craftsupplies1 to accessorize the piece.  They were the perfect colors of black and teal.
I hope you enjoyed taking a peek at my project today. Don't forget to check out both stores, the links are below! Have a great weekend everyone!

I had something that was just waiting to be altered and I had yet to play with the Mushroom Shape Set. So I dove in with some fun papers and got to work.

I gave each chipboard piece a coat of gesso. After that the mushrooms got some Lindy's spray and gold rub n buff.

The butterflies also got a coat of rub n buff.

I also added some fun flowers, lace, and metal pieces from Craftsupplies1.

Burlap Canvas and Card by Dianna and a Layout by Lynne

Hello Crafty Friends!  Today we have two designers on the blog.  First up is Dianna with two projects representing Halloween as well as our October cross promotional with Craftsupplies1.

Hi Everyone, Dianna here with a cross-promotion project with Gina's Designs and Craftsupplies1.

I have two pieces in burlap,  the first is a small canvas from Hobby Lobby. I began by distressing the burlap with brown and black ink.  The Gina's Designs witches hat, feet and cauldron (coming sonn)were primed with white gesso and acrylic black paint on the witches hat.  Copic Markers, 100-black, N4-Neutral Gray, N6-Neutral Gray, N4-Neutral Gray was used on the cauldron. I started with the dark color first and then layered on the lighter grays to create the rounded look on the cauldron.  Copic Markers were used on the feet of the cauldron to create the monster feet and the hat band, YG23-New Leaf, YG13- Chartreuse, YG63-Pea Green. Black Copic was used on the witches boots and V09-Violet and YG13-Chartreuse was used on the witches tights. The Spiderweb was painted with black gesso. Stickels were dobbed on the cauldron feet, witches boots,  hat band and spiderweb.

Sizzix leaves were cut out of extra neon green paper.  Craftsupplies1 acrylic orange and brown flowers stems were inked with a light green.  The stems were curled around a small dowel to create a vine effect.  The flowers were placed around the green leaves.  Boo and orange dotted ribbon (from Michaels) was used on the side.  Three pumpkins from Kitty's Scrap Post O'Halloween paper collection was used next to the witches hat.  The pumpkins were spritzed with Tattered Angels, Shimmer Gold.  Lastly, a Craftsupplies1 Antique gold owl was glued on the spiderweb.

The Halloween Card

Burlap Paper was used on a Hobby Lobby card stock.  Brown Ink was used to distress the card.  The large pumpkin and moon was from Kitty's Scrap Post O'Halloween and was spritzed with Tattered Angels Gold.  Leaves were cut from Tim Holtz Autumn Gathering and spritzed with gold.  EK pumkin border punch was used on orange card stock.  Gina's Designs witch and cat was "painted" with black glitter fingernail polish.  EK punch was used to create the Spooktacular embellishment.

Next up today is Lynne with a gorgeous 12 x 12 scrapbook layout to share.

I created this layout as a tribute to our beloved tabby cat, Chester,
who went missing in the middle of August when a door was accidentally left open in the night. We still hope he'll show up one day,(we once had a calico cat come home after two months)
but we know there's a good chance we won't see our sweet boy again.

The chipboard phrase was perfect for my title, and all I did was paint it with acrylic paint to match the paper. I love how easy it is to make pieces like this coordinate with any project!

The bridge signifies the possibility the Chester has crossed the Rainbow Bridge on his way to Heaven...I wanted to give it a  pearly, dreamy feel so I painted it with pearlized acrylic paint then added a touch of white mist. I layered the pieces with dimensional tape and glue dots.
