Happy Easter With A Pretty Card

First off... HAPPY EASTER!

Celebrate Tracy Schultz GCD

Pure Bliss is the perfect name for this collection because it feels just like bliss to me! I love the soft colors and dainty patterns, which are prefect for Easter. Especially the tiny bows. I couldn't resist making a card to showcase those bows.

I kept my design really simple to make sure you could still see all those adorable bows. I added one of the frames from the collection and fussy-cut some flowers from another pattern. So fun, so bold and perfect

Hi there!

Heidi Sonboul's "Special Delivery" collection from GCD Studios was one I absolutely could not WAIT to get my hands on! So fun, so bold and perfect for so many things including those hard to create masculine cards!

Supplies:
Cardstock: (black, white) The Paper Co., Patterned Paper: (Spencer, Heidi, George, Guidofrom the Special Delivery Collection) GCD Studios, Die: (Classic Zig Zag) Spellbinders
Size: 4.5"x6.5"

This collection is an eclectic mix of all things trendy and I absolutely love it! I chose to focus on using some of the more masculine elements, but it's loaded with all kinds of things...flowers, maps, postal elements, even horses!

I cut those fabulous glasses from the "Spencer" paper added one of my paper bows created from the "Heidi" paper and finished it up with a typewriter sentiment also cut from the "Spencer" paper.

so do you love this collection as much as I do?

A Favorite Photo

Ok...so I think I am going to need all of GCD Studio's new collections.  I can't just pick and choose...it has to be all of them.  Guiseppa here, to share with you a layout I made using the new Indian Summer Collection by Diane Kappa.  Like almost everyone else...I love the chevron patterns and the soft colors, but what I love most...is that it is so versatile.  As you can see, there is a Christmas tree in the background...so not summer, right?  Who cares...it works.  Use this collection for whatever craft you are creating.

I love layers, so I added quite a few.  the title and camera tag were cut from my Silhouette.

I added some flag pendants, pendants and buttons here and there on my layout, just for embellishing.

We are a crazy family and well sometimes we like to rarrrr.  I love how this collection worked so well with my photo...like I said, love the versatility!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Rocking those glasses

Hello everyone! Nina here to share my CHA projects using the Special Delivery collection! You probably have seen this collection popping up many times by now lol For example, Calvin's Race paper was featured on Moxie Fab World facebook and is "possibly the most trendy piece in the entire show", so said Cath, the trend editor of Paper Crafts magazine. Am I excited!

Some of my favorites from this collection are Mr. Sonboul's glasses and Spencer's bow ties!

Supplies: All paper from Special Delivery collection. Heidi paper - 2041, Spencer paper - 2046, Jack paper - 2043

I cracked myself up making this card! I used a small piece of the Heidi paper to cover the front of the mini craft pin! Heidi + Sonboul = ? Does it ring a bell? (Wink)

The name of the collection: Special Delivery inspired me on this card:

Supplies: All paper from Special Delivery collection. Guido paper - 2042, Zach paper - 2048, Dillon paper - 2040, Jack paper - 2043

Yes, yes, I used a craft pin on this card as well! Love how my small paper scrap made a big difference on the look! The little collage was also adhere to card with some foam adhesive.

I had so much fun making these two cards! They are both 5-1/2" x 5-1/2".

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting! Nina Yang GCD Studios DT, 2012 GCD Studios Card Gal

Pop them up!

There's something so unique, and, well, special about Special Delivery. So many fun patterns and elements - what's not to love?
While this line works well for pretty much any occasion, I decided to make a sweet friendship card...

Popped up some of the triangles for a little more interest. :)

There are lots of other fun prints in this collection that are perfect for paper piecing, collage, or just standing on their own! Go ahead, give it a go! :)

Paper Dimension With Wendi

Hello and good morning,

It's Wendi here, and I am sharing with you a fun layout using the Pure Bliss collection. This line is has the funniest patterns, sweet colors, and perfect for any occasion designs. I was excited to scrap a layout of my husband and I. A couple of years ago, I realized that we didn't have enough photos of just the two of "us". So I have made a bigger effort of snapping pictures of us whenever we get the chance.

Here is my layout:
I laid down the base of my page, and then made 3/4 strips of paper:
Then I added a pleat on each strip, and varied where the pleat was placed on the strip:
I then proceeded to layer the pleat to a total of three time for some dimension:
I added some machine stitching to hold them down, and them placed some hearts:
I LOVED the Crossword paper, and added my own text and journaling on the pattern:
This line was sooo much fun to play with!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day.
Supplies:
Paper: Pure Bliss- Crossword, Danity Floral, Journal Tags, Alphabet, Pink Honeycomb, Diamonds.

Other: Cardstock, Machine Stitching, Bling, Sharpie Pen, Circle Punch.

Cute as a Bug

Is it cold and blustery where you are?  Amanda here with a pair of bright and cheery cards that ought to warm you up!   All of the fabulousness you are about to see is from GCD Studios new Sunkissed collection.  This collection is so fun and trendy I can hardly stand it!

This collection makes me want to hit the beach!  Since there is no beach here in Idaho, I'll settle for turning up the heat and watching a surfing movie.

Eeeek!  A VW Beetle in print!  And just the right size to fussy-cut and put on the front of a card!

I broke out the label maker to make a custom sentiment.

You know what is really easy to do?  Sew straight on paper.  I have to force my paper to go all wonky if I want whimisical, uneven stitches.  Give me fabric and it's all I can do to sew a straight line.  Go figure.

The floral prints in this collection are so sweet.  If you squint your eyes a little bit you can see teeny, tiny flowers, too.

YOU are special!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies: Sunkissed collection; stamp (Paper Smooches); label maker (SMASH)

A sweet thank you box

Greetings!  Tegan with you today!  I have the perfect little favor boxes you could hand out to friends and family when you want to give them a little "thanks"!  The Pure Bliss Collection is so yummy- like candy- why not fill the boxes with chocolates?!?  The Pure Bliss Collection has some great floral patterns and soft muted colors as well....you can use this collection for anything from baby to sister to mom projects, etc. And of course, you can make favor boxes too!

They are super easy to make.
Let me show you how!
1.   Cut a piece of paper 11" long x 6" wide.
Starting at the left hand side, score it at 4.5" and then again at ANOTHER 2" (which is 6.5" total from left side)
2.  Fold up the paper into the favor box form and punch the top edge with a scalloped border punch.
Trim the paper to about 5" wide now- trimming off the excess scallops so that a pretty edge remains (no half scallops, etc.)
3.  Score underneath the scallop border about 1".  You will want to do this for both scalloped edges. Once you fold up the favor box, it gives you a place to secure the plastic packaging that holds your candies.  Then fold up your box, adhere closed, and decorate as desired.  Easy!

Glad you could join us today!
Have a good day!
Supplies: Pure Bliss Collection- Alphabet (2019), Happy Hoops (2018), Bows (2028)

Now this is one darling card

Hi there friends!

Today I'm going to share another one of my favorite new collections from GCD Studios, Pure Bliss by Heather Tozzi.

Supplies:
Cardstock: (pink) American Crafts, Patterned Paper: (Happy Hoops, Journal Tags, Alphabet from the Pure Bliss Collection) GCD Studios, Twine: Divine Twine, Crochet Thread: Coats & Clark, Corner Rounder: We R Memory Keepers
Size: 4.25" x5.5"

Ok, first of all, those embroidery hoops from the "Happy Hoops" paper...seriously, I could not love them more! So, Of course, I had to make them the focal point of my card.  I kept everything else pretty simple just adding a striped background and a yummy floral border.

there's so much to love about this whole collection, it's so sweet and soft it perfect for baby projects, but it's not overly theme-y so it can be used (especially for those of us who love pastels) for so much more!

Are you in love with this one too?

Made Fresh Series

Thanks again for joining me in me in day two of Cards Made Fresh Series! I am so excited you're back. This series is designed to help you dust off your tired, 2012 paper crafting techniques, and show you fresh ideas for your card-making featuring paper from GCD Studios new 2013 collections. Today, I have not one but TWO cards featuring a new releaseSpecial Delivery is full of bright colors, bold patterns and trendy motifs, all my favorite things. Now, onto the
The bright cerulean blue patterned paper and adorable tv die cut work great together to make a fun L-O-V-E card that you can give to that hot man in your life! Oooh, a man--there's a fresh idea! Lots of projects feature ideas for girlfriends and kiddos, but the men in our lives need masculine handmade cards too! One tip that I find helpful when making masculine cards is to choose patterned paper that has a gender neutral print or predominately male colors--even better is when it has images that are typically male, like this T.V. This is a really simple card to make that will requires only two steps!

|1| Cover your card with patterned paper and trim strips of patterned paper as shown, using corner rounder for the top edges. Add die cuts as shown, using foam tape for the sentiment.

|2| Punch hearts from patterned paper and affix twine to create power plug!

Now, for the BONUS PROJECT that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago--Yep, that's me--full of crafty surprises! This project didn't make it into the booth, but it was my absolute FAVORITE card that I made using Special Delivery

This card is comes to you freshly squeezed with happines!  Combining seemingly unrelated patterns is a fresh new idea in the design and paper crafting world, an idea that I love, and use in many of my projects. Special Delivery all about mixing up patterns, using nostalgic motifs and combining bright, cheerful colors perfectly so that your projects stand out! Another fresh idea is challenging yourself to make your own embellishments. The GCD DT is really good at this, so I decided to make my own die cut to embellish this bonus card.

|1| Make card from patterned paper, trimming strips as shown. Trim journaling card in half and adhere both halves to the edges of the card. Affix tape as shown.

|2| Trim triangle banners from patterned paper. Arrange the triangles to form a hexagon and adhere to the card. Punch happy from patterned paper and adhere with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed these two fun and fresh cards that use patterned paper from Special Delivery. Stop by tomorrow for another card that uses a favorite paper crafting tool in a fresh new way!
