Hello There! MIM, CAS, and Retro!

I have a CAS card to share today!  I had a few moments to play in my crafty space.  I am using some PTI stamps and playing along with this week's Make it Monday.

Now, before you go screaming for the challenge police, I truly did follow the challenge rules.  This is my take on vellum colored flowers.  I am using the Sweet Life roses and dies.  I die cut the vellum flowers, and white card stock leaves. I two stepped stamped the trio of roses using berry sorbet and Memento Love Letter and Ta Da....my vellum flower is colored and detailed in two easy steps!  I played around with vellum leaves or white card stock leaves.  The white card stock leaves won.  Just looked more finished.  I did add a foam circle strategically placed to pop up the whole trio of flower die piece.  Cannot see it at all.

I stamped the red background with the larger of the houndstooth prints in red.  I stamped the berry sorbet panel in the musical score background using berry sorbet ink.  These panels also got a touch of snow white ink edge distressing.  As for the focal image,  I used one of the swirls stamps from Mini Blooms in Spring Moss stamped twice.  I also chose one of the sentiments from this set.  I rounded one corners for added detail as well as added a pinking edge border on the berry sorbet panel.  I am using this week's Retro Sketch #69.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Congrats GRAD! Crazy 4 Challenges!

Happy Saturday!   It is time for another Crazy 4 Challenge with the Crazies!   Check out the C4C blog for more challenge details with the crazies at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C187).

This week's challenge is NO pattern papers
allowed unless you stamped it!

For my card I am using Verve's Bountiful Backgrounds, Snow Wonderful, Small Celebrations, and Thankful Accents stamp sets. I  also used Verve's Cut Above Scalloped Trio Trim, Occasion Frame, and Goodness Flowers dies.

For my card I used Bountiful Backgrounds polka dot image and Snow Wonderful border image to create my stamped backgrounds.  I then used Thankful Accents set to create a frame for my Occasion Frame die.  I layered the Small Celebrations frame with the Goodness Flowers die and stamped a sentiment inside.  Love how it turned out.   I finished with a bow using Verve's Truly Madly Deeply Ribbon Collection in Cotton Candy.  I am using the sketch from this week's MojoMonday294.  I turned it.

Check out what the rest of the team did with this week's challenge!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

This month our hostess is the lovely DINA! She has challenge us to CASE each

times and a CASE challenge (Copy And Share Everything) is one of the best ways
to get those creative juices flowing! Come travel with us and see which team
member has inspired us to get crafty!

For my project this  month, the beautifully talented Meredith inspired me.  Her blog is chocked full of just gorgeous cards and projects.  I just love the wonderful box in bag she created here. The super easy tutorial is HERE at Splitcoaststampers.

With Christmas just around the corner, I always try to keep my eyes opened for fun little gifts to give others.  However, oftentimes the hardest part is the wrapping.  Presentation is everything.  These little box in a bag are easy to make and literally cost pennies to create. Plus, with the little box in the bottom they can hold quite a bit of stuff and are sturdy as well.   Gives lots of options for all kinds of fun gifts from hand lotions, ornaments, to sweet confections.  I love how Meredith stamped her own background paper.  A designer after my own heart.  I love to create some DP by ME!  I chose to make three little bags for Christmas.  I just love how they turned out and they were super fun to make as well.

For my first box in a bag I am using Flourishes Winter Bouquet  and Sweets of the Season stamp sets.I am using Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock.  I stamped the winter bouquet with Versa Mark.  I finished with a cream seam binding bow.

For my second box in a bag I am using Flourishes  Sweets of the Season and the snowflakes from Warm Winter Wishes. I used some kraft card stock and red card stock along with Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock.  I used Memento Cocoa, Rhubarb, and Sky inks.  The snowflakes were stamped with some cream pigment ink.  The border at the bottom is in Spellbinder's Creative Pages Two dies.  I also used the Spellbinder's Fancy Tags   for the closure topper.   I finished with a cream seam binding bow and Spellbinder's ornament die used as a tag.

For my third box in a bag I am using Christmas Classics and Christmas Music stamp sets.  I am using Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock.  I stamped the the bird and branch image with Memento Cocoa and the musical score image with Memento Desert Sand inks.  I tried to keep this one with a more manly feel.   I finished with a cream seam binding bow.

I hope you've enjoyed your visit in America!   The next stop on your Beautiful World Tour is....

As always thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy your Beautiful World Tour!

ODBD Shining the Light Challenge, DP by ME, and MORE!

Happy Thursday!  I finally got a chance to play in my craft room this afternoon.  I have been busy this week doing some fall cleaning.  My card today is for this week's ODBD Shining the Light Challenge(ODBDSLC123).  We are to stamp our background with either a background stamp or use one stamp repeatedly.  I chose to do both for my background design.

I am using ODBD newly released Scripture Series 3 stamp set along with God's Love, God's Hands, and Randi's Song.

I combined some kraft, ivory, and wisteria card stocks.  I stamped using a fine linen ink the grunge butterfly image from God's Love all over the back.  This shade gave a more tonal look on the kraft and is hard to capture on camera.  I also stamped the wisteria with some lavender Memento ink, but ended up covering up most of that panel with an ivory panel stamped in the same linen ink.  This panel shows a little better, but the other elements on the card sort of cover it up, too.  LOL!  Trust me when I say all panels were stamped.  The wisteria fishtail was stamped with the script stamp from Randi's song with lavender ink.  Again, since it is so tonal hard to capture on camera, but all looks great in real life.

I am using Deconstructed Sketch No. 69. I layered the focal image with the God's Hand image stamped in  linen onto ivory.  I then stamped the scripture over with Memento black.  I ink distressed all the panels, added some stitching, a coffee dyed seam binding bow, button, and two corsage pins to finish the card.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

My Baby Girl is Graduating!

Happy Tuesday!  I have a scrapbook page to share with you today.    My baby girl who is definitely no baby any more will be graduating in a few days.    I guess I need to go ahead and stock up on some kleenex.   I am so proud of her.    I thank God for all His many blessings and insight through the years.   I continue to pray for guidance and direction for the University years.    For this page I have scrap booked her Senior picture.  It is a 6 x 6 scrapbook page.  I like to scrapbook this size because I can always add it to a 12 X 12 page either as a stand alone or with other images or details.  This size always works in a crunch.

This page is for ODBD Shining the Light Challenge (ODBDSLC17).   The scrapbook challenge for May is to: create a layout of any size using ODBD stamps and the sketch below with a twist--you must also use circles.

I started with some rich deep purple card stock.  I created some background paper by placing the words from ODBD Large Scrapbook Words set onto an acrylic grid.  I used versamark to stamp the words through out.  I went back in and filled in with the OXOX to comply with the added challenge twist to use circles.  I ink distressed the edges.   I stitched this panel to the base.

The elements were done with a portion of the sentiment from ODBD Dreams set stamped and die cut onto a circle and layered with a circle.  For the other elements I used flowers to emphasize more circle twist requirements per the challenge.  I also added some green gems to the leaves for added circle requirements.  I finished with a handwritten flag at the top that I zig zag stitched  for added detail.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!
