Pear Tree

I spied the bah humbug kitty kat hanging out in the pear tree today.

He is not fooling me though.  He is sitting in a bed of partridge feathers 

and even has the evidence hanging out of his mouth!

Sure,,,,,what partridge?

This is an ATC size ornament for my tree this year.

Leftovers

While cleaning up my studio...yes, I do that once in

a great while,....I found some dried up, leftover paint rags.

Of course I had to use them for something so I ripped them into

small squares.

Found some papers for layering.......

and they turned into some quote cards.

That was fun,,,especially the ripping part.

Pears are one of my favorite things to paint.

Pears are one of my favorite things to eat....next to apples of course.

The best thing about painting pears is that when you are finished

you can devour the evidence.

Everything is blue in this batch of cards.

ok, the pink batch tried to wittle their way in....

It´s all hearts and using up my paper stash.

I am partial to blue and brown together..

Series Finale

This is the finale of my pink and brown Flower Garden series.

I enjoy working in a series.

When I have all the paper and paint out in front

of me I try out different possibilites and designs.

Working in a series is always fun.

This is also my entry to Wednesday Stamper which is

closing their doors this week. These flowers are for you

guys,,,,,Belinda, Hermine, Linda and Patty. Thanks for

all the inspiration and hard work all these years.

Who can resist a strawberry cake?

A friend of mine gave me some fotos of cakes and

told me to whip her up some birthday cards.

I cut the cakes out and glued them onto

painted, stamped and collaged backgrounds.

More paint was added as well as fibers.

I think these cakes deserve to be placed on their

swirl, punched out pedestals,,,,don´t you?

Now if I could only get a taste.

Wednesday Stamper is showing a sumptuous array of cakes.

The good news is... you won´t gain a pound.

Did you know that this is the color for 2011?

Every year Pantone picks a color and makes

their yearly declaration which influences

product development and purchasing

decisions in everything from fashion to home

decor....as well as industrial design.

A few things in this year´s color.

If pink is your thing,,,you are in luck.

Pantone produces these wonderful color

swatches to help printers match colors in

their work. I cannot walk past a paint store without

grabbing a few.

I use these to make nice little

notepad covers.

I think my book would fit right in on this coffee table.

Doing any remodeling? How about a

pink room. Pantone says this year´s color

is confident and vital. A brave new color for

a brave new world. Apartment Therapy likes it

too.

What do you think of it? Will it be a winner

like turquoise was last year?
