Tagtastic bear riding a tricycle for Monkey 73

This bear riding a tricycle in my most favorite stamp in the Tagtastic hostess set, so I couldn't wait to ink it up for this week's A La Card Monkey Challenge 73: Fun + Sketch. What could be more fun than a bear riding a trike?

The glittery striped paper comes from the Holly Berry Bouquet pack, which is a specialty designer paper in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I used markers and the Decorative Label Punch on the bear, adding dimensionals. The long Early Espresso oval is actually two punched ovals stuck end to end. I used a Crop-a-dile to punch 1/8" holes in each end for the 5/8" Very Vanilla satin ribbon. The button is from the Regal pack, and I put a little 1/8" Very Vanilla taffeta through the holes. You can see the sketch and challenge below:

It's time to celebrate with Monkey Challenge 67

I admit it... I love paper! And I especially love this Beau Chateau dsp. Did you know there's a special on designer paper starting August 1? Buy 3 packs and get 1 free!!! Wow! I love it.

My card this week is based on the A La Card Monkey Challenge 67: Celebration + A Sketch. I started with a Crumb Cake base and added a couple layers of Beau Chateau paper on top, using the Cutter Kit to distress the edges before sponging them with Crumb Cake. The "Congrats" is from the Tagtastic hostess set. After stamping the word in Soft Suede ink, I ran it through the Big Shot in the oval designer frame. There's a bit of Marina Mist dotted scallop ribbon on there, along with a couple pearls and a few pennants over some natural hemp.

Here's the sketch:

Peek at upcoming hostess set, Tagtastic

Using the Inkspirations Colour Challenge, as well as the sketch at Technostamper, I came up with the card below. It uses a hostess set in the new Idea Book & Catalog (effective July 1). Stampin' Up! demonstrators are able to purchase a few new items - hostess sets included - this month.

I ran the front of the Old Olive card through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, added the Melon Mambo layers (Brights dsp pad), a 3/4" strip of Basic Gray and some 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta. I used markers to ink up the "Thanks" stamp from Tagtastic, adding glimmer brads and Basic Gray dots with a marker.

American Ink team make & takes feature new product, Sail Away, Loads of Love and Tagtastic

Wow, were we busy at our American Ink team demonstrator meeting last Saturday. We had a total of nine make and takes! I'm posting a few today and I'll post the rest tomorrow. Plus, I have a bunch of swaps to show you too!!!

My make and take above uses a new hostess set called Tagtastic. The hostess program has been revamped, so it'll be easier than ever to earn the hostess and catalog stuff YOU want. The patterned paper is from a new pack called Pocketful of Posies, and I also used a stamp from Countryside, along with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder on this card with Island Indigo ink (new In Color).

Mary Ann brought this Loads of Love make & take on Pumpkin Pie card stock. It makes a nice and simple Father's Day card.

Kim created this Sail Away make & take with Crumb Cake and Not Quite Navy, as well as Cherry Cobbler/White Baker's Twine. The sentiment is from Three Little Words.

I really appreciate all of the people who volunteered to bring make & takes, as well as those who demonstrated techniques! It was an awesome gathering, so thank you!
