That's the Ticket for Christmas card

That's the Ticket (page 33 of the annual catalog) has stamps for a variety of holidays, including the Christmas one you see here. Better still, Stampin' Up! has a Ticket Duo punch.

I started with a Pear Pizzazz card and used the Scallop Trim Border punch on the bottom of the card front. Then I added a layer of Whisper White that was embossed with the Woodgrain folder in the Big Shot. Two tickets were added with a mini silver brad, and a tree - using a bit of 1/8" Early Espresso taffeta for the trunk and a stamp and coordinating punch from Pennant Parade. This is a card I designed for my 20-card Christmas class today.

We've hit the last week of August! That means when you order the Tag It stamp set from my Online Store at http://TheRubberRoom.stampinup.net by August 31 you'll get your name entered into a drawing for the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the Holiday Catalog. I'll announce the winner Sept. 1 AND if you use the following hostess code, you'll also be eligible to win the hostess benefits - GGQ2GJ3A.

Here's my vintage share of the day - an International Silver Company silver-plated angel ring holder. Isn't he sweet? He's got velvet on the bottom and feels weighty. This is going to my friend, Barb. See more vintage finds at http://www.facebook.com/booth6goods. I hope you enjoy your day!

Quick and easy Christmas card with Pennant Parade

Christmas cards don't get easier than this Pennant Parade one. This was one of my latest stamp-a-stack cards. I started with a Whisper White card in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, added a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Old Olive card stock with a 4-1/4" piece of Old Olive scallop dotted ribbon (I love the stuff!). The bottom of the tree and the greeting (from Season of Joy) were stamped first with Soft Suede and Old Olive inks. I stamped the tree from Pennant Parade on a scrap piece of white and punched it using the Petite Pennants Builder punch, and adhered it with dimensionals. That's it!

Flower Fest card and American Ink gathering

I expected low numbers at my American Ink team gathering Saturday, so I moved our get-together to a Mexican restaurant. This time of year, there are many people on vacation and who have family obligations. Still, we ended up with eight of us. It was fun! Kim brought the Flower Fest/Pennant Parade swap above.

For Kim's card, we inked up the flower stamps in Wisteria Wonder, then used a sponge dauber to wipe off the ink around the outside of each flower and sponged on Island Indigo (both are new In Colors). Notice the bitty flower and brad in the middle of each flower? The designer paper is free with hostess benefits - Cheery Treat.

If you'd like to attend an American Ink gathering to see what demonstrators do when they're together, we meet the second Saturday of every month. Just contact me and I'll hook you up! Don't forget - there's never been a better time to join Stampin' Up!. The starter kit is only $99 plus sales tax.

A merry Pennant Parade Christmas card

I had to pull out the Stamp-a-ma-Jig for this Pennant Parade card, but I think it was worth it! The card is Crumb Cake, with layers of Early Espresso, textured Cherry Cobbler, and Always Artichoke. I CASE'd this card from Deb Currier.

Pennant Parade and Sweets for the Sweet cards

Tonight was my Stampin' Dessert Party. Women showed up, enjoyed delicious blueberry angel food cake, stamped seven cards (two are shown below), and went home with one of my retired stamp sets. It was a lot of fun!

I CASE'd this bright card from Natasha Zandbergen. It uses Pennant Parade, Just Eat Cake dsp, and Word Play.

I CASE'd this card from Dawn Olchefske. It uses the Sweets for the Sweet stamp set, two embossing folders (Perfect Polka Dots and Square Lattice), Pacific Point and Chocolate Chip ink, and the new mini silver brads.

I just received a visit from the UPS man tonight, so I'll be cracking into my box tomorrow! Check back for more cards, and have a great day.
