Well, It's been awhile...

since I posted! It's been one of those weeks or I should say several weeks!

Whew!  Between things needed for my 6 kiddos, everyday stuff, church stuff  and getting ready for our upcoming homeschool year...I am wiped out, but gotta keep going, so I will!

I guess God knew I needed to chill from being online, so he did something with my internet service for  about 4 days.  I panicked at first, but after the first day settled into being off line pretty well.  It's now time to play catch up. Crafting has taken the back seat this summer, but I hope to have more time once things calm down (uhh-hmmm IF things calm down)!!

ADFD & My Birthday Girls

Today at A Day For Daisies, there are new images and they all have Hats! 

Elegant and pretty hats!  Tammy has out done herself again!

Sometimes simply changing your photo from Color to B&W can make such a difference.

I originally designed this layout in color (as you see below), but I ended up changing it to black & white and loved it that way!

This week's release is called My Hats

I used a adorable digital kit called Sweet Bee - Part 2 by the talented Celeste Knight. 

I love the color scheme!

ADFD-Vintage Grasshopper

Yipppeee...It's Friday! Although, because my husband is off on Mondays & Tuesdays...our weekends are actually those days, I am still happy for all of you who are happy to see Fridays roll around! 

I admit Saturdays are cool here too...the kids and I can veg out with no appointments or schedule and Sundays are always amazing...God Time, Church and Family Time!! Soooo, YAY...It's Friday!

We are excited here at Camp Boyd...my sweet Hannah has been off on her first adventure, all the way across the country for Youth Camp at YFN - Youth For Nations

SHE IS COMING HOME TODAY!!

Me and my other 5 Reasons are SUPER DUPER, OVER the MOON Excited and can't wait to see her!

YAY!

We are praying for a very safe & quick trip...midnight cannot come soon enough!

My Project Details:

I used my very first bit of SMASH product, SMASH Tape to be exact.  I folded it in a wonky way to imitate ribbon and I am hooked already...I likey!

I used Copics to color the ADFD image and paper pieced her fab vintage dress.

Buttons that included some from Papertrey Ink.

Distressed my sizzix embossed kraft panel.

I used October Afternoon papers.

Hand cut the circles.

Popped this all on top of my planner...to spruce it up!

reminded by darling daughter, Hannah that we have 4 birds...Hee hee...YAY!

I used the wrapper from a pack of Mentos and an old tag I have saved for ages!

I colored the image with copics.

It's called Song Birds and as always it is super fabulous!

I used Bird Swing.  Colored it with Copics. Distressed Echo Park Paper.

Topped it all off with crinkle ribbon by Trudi at Pink Petal Studio and misc. button and twine.
