The CSS Alumni were asked to join the Quite A Catch Blog Hop. What an adorable set! I incorporated two different challenges in the creation of my card tonight. I used the latest sketch challenge from Card Positioning Systems, #165 and I used this week's Copic marker colors from Copic Colour Challenge, #63.
And the Copic marker colors for this week are
I did not have BG11 so I used BG10 instead. R20 is a perfect match for Pure Luxury (PL) Innocent Pink and the NEW Turquoise Sea goes really well the the Blue Green colors.
This card has a lot of layers and dimension. I was going for a porthole or fishing tank look. I started by stamping the circle frame image from the Spring Mix StampTV Kit on PL Innocent Pink. I used Nestabilities to cut out a circle slightly smaller than the inside of the frame. I used a circle one size smaller to cut out the window from the turquoise card stock.
I stamped the sentiment with Vivid Aqua and rounded the corners with a punch. I adhered a piece of transparency to the back of the Innocent pink layer. Then I applied foam tape on the transparency and layered the turquoise under that. Then I applied another layer of foam tape on the back of the turquoise layer.
I stamped the fish image and colored her with the Copic marker colors from the challenge. I masked her and sponged around her with Soft Sky which is a perfect match for Copic BG10. I adhered that to the back of the turquoise layer.
Finally I trimmed some papers from Basic Grey Urban Prairie and put it together using the sketch from CPS. I added lots of pearls because they are from the water and oh so girly.
