Groovy Hello

I've been wanting to play along with MFT's sketch challenges for a while now, but always ran out of time. I finally had some time to use the sketch this week and broke out a stamp and die set that I purchased several months ago when it was on sale. Anyone out there that can relate to that? LOL! This card is for MFTWSC151.

I stamped cut the pocket out of dark gray card stock and stamped it with the stitching outline. Then I added some swirls and flowers. In place of the die cut border of the sketch I stamped various flowers and vines on the white panel and then embossed it with a chevron folder. I love this color combo and how the whole thing turned out.

MFT Personal Challenge - Coffee!

My Favorite images from MFT Stamp Company are the adorable a la Modes. And my PERSONAL favorite is of course the lady holding the big honkin' to go cups of java goodness. Yummo! So I started with that stamp as the base for my personal card. I also used some of my favorite colors; green, guava and blue. I also used my PERSONAL favorite shape the circle for the main image, offsetting layers and the fun buttons on the flowers. I colored them with Copic markers to match. Fun!

Have you seen the adorably cute A La Mode images from My Favorite Things. I fell in love with the girl holding the big honkin' coffee cups and the cutie patootie with the big peace sign. I made some fun cards last week with some really old Stampin Up pattern paper and the Groovy Girl a la mode set.

By the way, I was so delighted to see I am up to 41 followers. I want to thank everyone that takes the time to stop in to read my posts.
