BEE happy

It is a beautiful Saturday here in Minnesota and I should be outside pulling weeds or something, but am in the house watching some movies I got out of the red box and working on pricing stuff for our garage sale next weekend.

Thought while I was in-between movies I would post a card that I made early this morning using one of Regina's newest releases at The Cutting Cafe called "cute critters".

This is such a fun set of digital images. I colored the bee with my yellow glaze pen and then added "glossy accents" to the entire bee.

Enjoy!

for the birthday boy

My friend Tami sent me an email this morning challenging me to do this weeks challenge over at Taylored Expressions. Well it was a fabulous sketch so I told her game on. So now that I have posted my card we will have to wait and see when she post hers.

How fun was this sketch and it was the perfect time to use up some of my old papers "cogsmo" by no other than Cosmo Cricket. The truck image is one of the newer sets over at "The Cutting Cafe". I fussy cut around the truck and added buttons for wheels and added matte accents to the truck to give it a little bit of dimension then added the round sentiment from the same set.

Enjoy!

beautiful blooms give away

It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here in Minneapolis today and what a great way to introduce the newest release from Regina over at The Cutting Cafe.

The new release is called Beautiful Blooms and you are going to love it as much as I do. Lots of flowers, vases, & sentiments too.

The best part about this set is Regina is letting me give one lucky winner the entire set. All you need to do is leave me a comment by Midnight March 24th and I will draw one random winner on March 25th.

Here is my card using this fun set. The hardest part was deciding which flower and vase to use.

mother's day

I hope you all had a great weekend and got the chance to spend a little time outside if the weather was nice. Here in Minneapolis it was 64 degrees which was a record for us for this time of year. The snow is almost totally melted and I am hoping Mother Nature is not playing a horrible trick on us.

My card for today is from the new "mom word block" digital stamp over at The Cutting Cafe. I decided since it was Mother's Day in the UK yesterday I would go ahead and make a card for my Mother-in-law a little bit early. (we celebrate in May)

I am going to try and get outside today and soak up a little bit of sun so I can raise my vitamin D levels like the doctor suggested. Then later today I am going to meet my friend Tami at Caribou for a cup of coffee and some good conversation.
Enjoy!

This is a quick card that I whipped up today using the new digital stamp set "got coffee?" from The Cutting Cafe.

I am meeting a friend tomorrow at Archivers to spend the day scrapbooking and chatting so made this card for her. Because usually when we get together at least one cup of coffee is had by all.

Hope you enjoy and stop back tomorrow for my first official day on the Design Team at Project Tuesday.

My card today is for the CCEE Stampers sketch challenge and for this card I used a new digi file called "rain rain" from the cutting cafe. I thought these cute little "wellies" were just too cute.

I also used my cuttlebug "swissdots" embossing folder on the yellow squares. I colored in the wellies with my Copic markers and added a little clear spica glitter to the flowers and then I added some Glossy accents to the rain puddle.

Pumpkin Cookie Dip Recipe & Gingerbread Card

How cute is this new Gingerbread shaped card from The Cutting Cafe? I thought I would also share a recipe for pumpkin cookie dip that I got from my friend Carole.

Pumpkin Cookie Dip

1 - 8 oz. cream cheese softened
2 - 7 0z. jars marshmallow cream
1 - 15 oz. can pumpkin
1 tsp. cinnamon

Beat cream cheese and marshmallow cream until smooth.
Fold in pumpkin and cinnamon.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve with gingersnaps or shortbread cookies

If you try the recipe let me know what you think. I love to sandwich the pumpkin cream in between two gingersnaps and drink a hot cup of coffee or Apple Cider. Yummo.

All About Christmas

The guys are downstairs watching the football game so thought I would do a quick post of a new digi stamp set from The Cutting Cafe called All About Christmas. You can check it out here. This set has so many fun images and I can't wait to play with all of them.
For this card I just colored the merry christmas in with a red copic marker and then cut it out and pasted it on top of the original. I added a border of black and red to make it pop a little more, then I used my score pal to create lines through the card base and then I added a black and red may arts ribbon to complete the card.

Have you started making your Christmas Cards yet? Leave me a comment and let me know what you are working on.
Enjoy~

Halloween Memories

When I started making this frame for Cassie I realized that I didn't know what her costume would be this year so I decided to make the frame using a picture that we took of her at the pumpkin patch and I think this picture is from 2004 or 2005. Once Halloween comes this year I will take one of the pictures her Mom gives me and fit it into the frame before I give it to them.

For this frame I used "Halloween This and That" by The Cutting Cafe which is where I got the stars and the cats, I added some BasicGrey buttons, and tied with orange and black floss, the letters are Thickers by American Crafts. I added some faux stitching with a white signo gel pen. The frame is from Michael's.
Hope you enjoy~

Thankful for Family

Today I want to share with you one of the new releases over at The Cutting Cafe called "Autumn Days" this set was perfect for this weeks challenge Sketch #107 over at Mojo Monday.

For my card I used kraft cardstock as the base of this A6 card along with some Pop-tone green and orange cardstock, the pattern paper is Eerie by BasicGrey, ribbon is from May Arts, I used the Nestabilities small oval, added some dew drops, distressed the edges of my paper and oval with Ranger antique linen ink, and colored the pumpkin and leaves with colored pencil and gamasol.
Enjoy~
