Today is all about - STB #8

This week at Seize the Birthday we are using the same sketch as last week only this week they want to see masculine cards.

I used Echo Park papers and layered stickers from the all about a boy collection. The sentiment is by PaperTrey Ink.

Here is the sketch.

I love the idea behind Seize the Birthday. We get to create Birthday cards for our stash and every other week we get a new sketch. If you are like me you will create both the feminine and the masculine card at the same time.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Project Life ~ Week 08

So far, so good. Things are going smoothly with project life, I just need to take more photos of the family. You would think it would be easier since I have been doing it for 14 months now, but nope it is not.

This week I was thankful for some Project Life cards that my friend Mari sent me from the Studio Calico kits as well as the printables that Studio Calico sent to all of us STILL on the wait list.

Lots of filler cards this week as well as my normal, calendar card and weather card. The Take Note card and the Grow where you are planted are both cards that my friend Mari sent me.

I am trying to stick with the same color palette  every week in my Project Life so it all flows together.

I did recently get some of the Becky Higgins Seafoam collection as I split it three ways with Mari and one other girl. Love the colors in that collection and they fit my color theme for this year perfectly.

I used flairs this week from Stamp Your Life etsy shop, along with some from my stash, wood veneers, Studio Calico printable labels and alpha stickers from my stash.

Are you doing Project Life? If so leave me a link to your blog so I can come over and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Say Cheese

This week our challenge at By Lori Designs is all about shaped cards. Any shape is allowed as long as it is not your standard A2 card.

I used one of Lori's newest images from the "pedal pusher" collection called 'Camera Cate'. The sentiment is from the new release 'everyday sentiments'. All of these can be found in the shop here.

Go over and check them out I am sure you will fall in love with at least one or two of them.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Tic Tac Toe - MM #51

This week Lesley has a Tic Tac Toe challenge for us at Merry Monday.

I decided to go from the bottom left corner diagonally up to the top right corner and use Snowflakes, Digital and ribbon on my card.

I used papers by My Minds Eye which has snowflakes on it as well as a Martha Stewart snowflake punch, some of my ribbon from my stash as well as this cute digital snowman by Lori Boyd.

Don't forget to stop over at the Merry Monday blog and see what the rest of the design team has come up with using this Tic Tac Toe board.

thinking of you today

This week at Sentimental Sundays we are sponsored by From the Heart Stamps and our challenge is all about Flowers.

I got to work with this great image 'bouquet' image available in the shop here.

I had fun coloring this image and popping up the red flowers with foam dots to give it a little bit of dimension.  The lace strip above is actually some paper ribbon from my stash and I added a button with twine to it. A really quick yet fun card.

Make sure and stop over at the Sentimental Sundays blog and check out what the rest of the design team created.

This weeks theme at The Pink Elephant Scrapbook Challenge is we want to see banners on your layout.

I used this photo of my great-nephew Ryder and added banners wherever I could fit them using scrap papers that were on my desk from my last layout that I posted.

All product you see on my layout are by Studio Calico. I love the printable labels they offer each month in the digital shop as well as the brads, Mister Hueys and papers.

Make sure and stop over at the blog and see what the rest of the design team have come up  with using this weeks challenge "banners".

Today I am sharing with you my final card using this months card kit from Artful Delight.

Everything on the card is from the kit except the sentiment. I stamped on the black cardstock with versamark using the different flower stamps included in this months stamp set by Paper Smooches called 'bold blooms'. I love all the kraft labels that were included in the kit this month too.

I will be back next Saturday to show you the March kit.

This week over at A Day for Daisies we have a new challenge for you and we want to see you incorporate die cuts into your project.

The design team is working with images from 'Childhood' which is being re-released in the store today.

I used the image 'hilde's garden' and for my die-cut I used my polaroid frame die which is quickly becoming my favorite.

happy day - STB #7

Another quick card to share with you today for this weeks challenge over at Seize the Birthday

This weeks challenge is of course birthday, but it is a new sketch so that means create a card for a feminine birthday.

I used papers by Amy Tangerine from the 'yes, please' collection along with some Amy Tan remarks stickers and a button and twine from my stash.

Here is this weeks fabulous sketch.

Lesley, is amazing! Every week she comes up with a sketch that I love. I keep telling her my goal is now to be on the Seize the Birthday design team. *wink*
Not sure if she is taking me serious so I will just have to keep playing and letting her know.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Project Life Week 07

I really enjoy doing my Project Life layouts each week especially when I have enough pictures to complete it.

I used lots of different products this week on my layout. My friend Mari gave me some of her Studio Calico Project Life cards, I used some that I made myself along with washi tape, and wood veneers from my stash as well as new stamps, washi tape and flair badges from Stamp Your Life, LLC.

My favorite card on this layout is the 3rd one in on the middle row. Micah painted that while we were watching Dora. Lots of snow pictures this week because in Minnesota in February it seems like it snows almost every day.

I love the new clear stamps that are going to be available in the store in a few weeks. The 'cheese me' one is all about cameras and instagram, which just sings 'project life' to me.

If you have questions about a certain card or layout on my project life just leave me a comment or email me and I will get back to you with the information.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

baby boy

I love making baby cards and was so happy to see that this weeks challenge over at the paper players was 'buttons and bows for baby'.

This card came together really quick thanks to this weeks sketch over at Sweet Sunday.

Washi Wednesday

It's my turn up on the Stamp Your Life blog today for Washi Wednesday.

First up I created this card using The gold star washi tape available in the store here and I used one of the new clear stamps "we are family" that is due to arrive in the shop soon. The wooden star is from my stash and I used some gold zing glitter embossing powder on it.

Next up I used a few more of the new clear stamp sets that are coming soon to the shop to make some Project Life journal cards.

This card uses the new 'cheese me' clear set. I absolutely love the all the little cameras on it and the sentiments. Perfect for anyone who does Project Life or scrapbooks.

I used some washi tape at the top and then the potty people and sentiment are from the new clear set 'we are family'. All these sets are due to arrive in the shop soon.

My last card uses the gradient black chevron washi found here and the 'we are family' stamp set.

There are wood mounted stamps due soon in the shop and the clear stamps will be right behind them. Just keep an eye on the blog or watch here on my blog or you can keep track of us on facebook.

Elegance - MM#50

It is a theme challenge over at Merry Monday today and this weeks theme is "elegance". Lesely wants us to create an elegant card.

When I think of elegance I think of metallic colors and embossing. So I grabbed my Sizzix embossing folder and a big silver snow flake leftover from Christmas and create this card.

What do you think? Does my card fit this weeks theme?

Make sure and stop over at the Merry Monday blog and see what the rest of the design team came up with.

Shades of Red - Challenge 2

It is time for our February challenge over at Scribbles Designs and this month it is all about "shades of red".

I used the 'hearts truck' and colored it with different shades of red using my copic markers and then used papers from the Fancy Pants 'the good life' collection.

I must admit that this little truck is my favorite image right now.

I hope you will join us this month and play along in our 'shades of red' challenge.

I used this sweet digital image designed by Hannah Boyd called 'bunny girl'. She is available over at by Lori designs. As is the sentiment which is from her everyday sentiments collection.

I used this weeks sketch at TSOT. Which I think was perfect for this sweet image. I also used papers by Echo Park from the 'sweet girl' collection by Lori Whitlock.

Project Life Week 06 and Happy Valentines Day

The weeks are just flying by and here are my spreads for week six of my Project Life.

On Sunday of this week we went to a 45th Anniversary Party for my Uncle and Aunt and it was also a goodbye party of sorts for my Uncle who is dying of cancer and was given only months to live now.

It was a good party but also sad. The rest of the week was a lot better and I got some fun photos to remember the week by.

Notice the bottom photo on the right hand side. My poor slipper was at the very end of life and sad to say they both looked like this so was time to throw them out. I found a green pair in my drawer that I forgot about and then sadly realized they too had holes in them and even wearing socks with them were not going to keep my feet warm.

I am now looking for someone who crochets or knits that wants to make this girl a pair.

I really enjoy this project and especially love it when I have enough photos to fill up the entire week.

So far week 07 is not looking as good. We will see what happens next Thursday when I am back with a new Project Life post.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.
