happy new years eve

I thought about doing a year in review post and then decided if you follow my blog you saw what I did over the past year.

I just want to wish all of you my blog buddies a very happy and healthy new year!

So do you have big plans for the evening or are you like us and do you stay home and keep warm and toasty in your jammies? I am lucky if I can stay up to greet the new year.

Do you make resolutions? I do every year, not sure why...but I do. My goal this past year was to join Weight Watchers and stick with it. I finally joined last February 20th and as of today have lost 63 lbs.

So for 2013 my goal is to continue with Weight Watchers, be more active on my blog and to get this house organized, which means I need to get organized.

My "one little word" for 2013 is persevere and that is exactly what I plan on doing.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

thanks

I spent part of this morning making some Thank You cards to send out to a few people to thank them for Christmas gifts our family received.

I thought this weeks sketch over at CAS ~ Colours & Sketches was just perfect for the layout for my cards.

I pulled out my 6x6 We R Memory Keepers 'winter frost' collection along with my Martha Stewart Snowflake punch and some My Minds Eye 'enamel dots' and a stamp by PTI from the new Embroidered Blooms set.

Now I can cross something off of my very large and ever growing to do list.

merry christmas - tpe#40

(this is my 2nd post of the day, please scroll down for my Artful Delight post)

Saturday and time for a color challenge over at The Pink Elephant. I definitely thought of Christmas when I saw the color theme for this week.

I knew exactly what picture and what papers I was going to use when I saw this challenge. I just love this photo of Ryder and the expression on his face Christmas morning.

I used papers and stickers by October Afternoon from the 'make it merry' collection. I just love everything about this newest collection from them.

I hope you will take time and play along with me and the other design team members in our newest challenge. You can do traditional scrapbooking or digital.

hello

It is the last Saturday of the month which means I am showcasing my last card using the December card kit from Artful Delight.

I needed a couple thank you cards to send out so this weeks sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday along with my leftovers from the kit were just the perfect combination.

I just love the big snowflakes that were in the kit and thought it worked perfect for the sketch.

I will be back next Saturday with my first reveal of the January card kit.

happy winter

A quick card to share today that I created for a new challenge blog I discovered called Paper Craft Crew.

I saw this sketch and loved the it so knew I had to play along even though my card won't count in the challenge since you have to use two Stampin' Up supplies to qualify.

December Daily

Hope you all had a nice Holiday spent with family and those closest to you.

I have been busy trudging along on my December Daily book and sad to say am behind so trying to catch up on that right now.

Here is a small peek at some of the pages.

I know the photos aren't that great but they are just quick snapshots that I took and then posted in instagram. I will try and get some better photos of the layouts once I am totally done with the book. I think I am on page 17 or 18 right now.

be mine

Oh yes, this is a valentine's day card that you are seeing on my blog. I decided since tomorrow is Christmas Eve I would take a little break from the Christmas cards for a day or two.

I used a new paper collection that I got by Crate Paper called 'fourteen', the ribbon, button and twine are from my stash. The hearts are from a new die by PTI from the framed out 11 stamp and die set.

I used this weeks newest sketch from retro sketches as the inspiration on my card. I just love the fun sketches they come up with each week.

One more card to share with you today that I created for the current challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps and I must admit they have some of the cutest digital images.

I used BM Topper for my card along with papers by Simple Stories from the 'SN@P' collection, My Minds Eye enamel dots and some doodlebug designs alpha stickers.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

A quick card to share that I made for this weeks sketch challenge over at Freshly Made.

For this card I used papers by We R Memory Keepers from the 'winter frost' collection along with my favorite snowflake die by Cuttlebug and although you can't see it I used my new PTI 'linen and canvas' texture plate.

I woke up early this morning and decided to finally make a fun craft for my kitchen. It smells delish, but my fingers are really sore from pushing the cloves into the orange, so have taken a little break to post this and will finish it up in a little bit.

best friend - TPE39

(this is my 2nd post today, please scroll down to see my Artful Delight post)

Time for a new challenge at The Pink Elephant and this week we have a sketch challenge for you.

I used a photo my of sweet great-nephew Adrian (aka ACE) with his best friend Ozzy. I just love the look on his face and know that Ozzy was probably telling him some great story that only he could hear.

Here is our sketch for this week. I sure hope you take some time to play along with us and if you do let me know so I can come over a take a look at what you have created.
You will find all the rules for playing along over on the blog here.

So are you ready for the holidays yet? I have been busy baking and had to make a second batch of these chocolate haystacks as we (okay me) ate them all, except for the ones I gave away to family.

I just love the papers and stamp set in this months kit. Such a fun mix of colors and textures. You can see the entire kit over at the Artful Delight blog here.

I used this weeks Sweet Sunday sketch as the inspiration behind my card.

ADFD - Mad About Plaid

It's a challenge week over at A Day for Daisies and this weeks challenge is 'mad about plaid'.

I used this weeks image called 'sale'. I absolutely fell in love with her skirt and sweater and knew that I wanted to do the skirt in plaid and the sweater in polka dots. I used papers by October Afternoon from the 'cakewalk' collection.

Now here is a look at all of this weeks new release images.

Now head over to the blog and see what the rest of the design team has done with these images. I hope you play along and remember you must use ADFD image.

A quick card for you today that I created using this weeks sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday

I just love this sketch and couldn't wait to play along.

Decided to create something other than a Christmas card so went for the next holiday, which is Valentine's Day.

Don't you just love the fun patterns in this Crate Paper collection?

snowflakes - part iv

Oh, yes another snowflake card from me.

Being from Minnesota I love snowflakes, but hate snow. lol

I am entering this card into the following challenges.

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this sketch!

The strings on the snowflakes were inspired by the challenge over at CAS-UAL Fridays which was to use your scorepal and create some lines.

And finally I am linking it up to The Paper Players challenge which is to use snowflakes.

winter wishes

I watched a fun tutorial this morning and couldn't wait to try out making the card. I had bought the masking fluid awhile ago (like 6 months) and never got around to using it until today.

I really like how it turned out and see a few things I need to work on, but for a first go round I am pleased as punch.
